Just returned from Mackinac Island and the Hotel Iroquois. Beautiful charming hotel. Our room was a marina view king. Extremely clean, comfortable and roomy. There was turn down service in the evening which was an unexpected perk! Most places are scaling back on the extras. Hotel is located in the quieter end of the busy area. Perfect location! Short walk anywhere to eat, drink, shop, rent bikes, and close to the ferry docks. Front desk was efficient and welcoming. Only problem for some (not us) could be the lack of an elevator. The stairs are rather steep and we were on the third floor. Carriage House restaurant in the hotel is delicious with a lovely water view. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

My wife and I just stayed at the Hotel Iroquois and we loved our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Jackson the Bellboy picked up our luggage at the dock when we arrived so we didn't have to take it ourselves. What a convenience. We strolled leisurely down the street to the hotel and checked it. Jackson again took our luggage to the dock where we were waiting. We were on Mackinac Island staying at the Hotel Iroquois for our 10th Anniversary and the Hotel provided a complimen tary small bottle of champagne. Nightly turn down servicewith chocolates and ice delivered to the room The only Con's we would have to say are that our Harbor View room had a tiny bathroom. Very difficult for the 2 of us to use at once. Then our room was a King Bed room, it would have been nice to have King Size pillows. Also breakfast was continental only.

We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary. It’s a lovely hotel with wonderful service and friendly staff. Our room was on the ground floor with porch access. The path to the Carriage House was just outside the porch. We were surprised at how quiet our room was considering its location to the Carriage House entrance, the ferry docks and Main Street. The room was comfortable and very clean. There was no mini-refrigerator but the hotel provided buckets of ice when requested. They provide twice a day cleaning which includes bottles of water and chocolates. We mentioned in the reservation we were celebrating our anniversary and they gifted us with a bottle of sparkling wine. The porch was our favorite. It was nice to be able to kick back and relax after hours of exploring the island. The breakfast provided in the Carriage House consisted of coffee (no flavored creamer), tea, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, slices of ham and Cheddar cheese, a different coffee cake each day, croissants, yogurt with granola, blueberry muffins, and fresh fruit cups. And the flowers and gardens are just stunning!

We were in a beautiful deluxe waterfront room on the 3rd. floor. Unfortunately, the guests above us began jumping and running around around 4 pm of our 2nd. day and would not stop for more than 30 minutes. Perhaps they were excited kids. So we let the front desk know about the situation and requested that the above guests be told to less loud. Shockingly, the front desk told us to call back if they were still jumping and running late in the evening. That was the extent of the front desk offered help for something that should not have even happened.

We only stayed for a night but it gave us a chance to experience the wonderful service, room and food at this hotel. The hotel did an exceptional job delivering our bags to our room from the Shepler's Ferry. Note, you will meet the Hotel Iroquois representative on the dock on Mackinac Island so they verify which bags are yours. After checking in, they escorted us to our room. The room was small, one of the least expensive in their inventory but was fine for a one night stay. The room did not advertise a view and yet we still had a decent view of the harbor area. We dined at the Carriage House for dinner, with reservation, which was excellent. We also enjoyed their continental breakfast the next morning.

We considered The Grand Hotel but it just didn’t seem worth the expense. We liked visiting the Grand, enjoyed a GREAT lunch buffet there, and we sat on their porch for a bit to enjoy the views. But, we stayed at Hotel Iroquois, which was far more conveniently located by the docks and town and 8.2 mile perimeter trail. Luckily we had a room with our own private balcony overlooking the harbor. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast up there, we spent a lot of time on our private balcony. Only a few rooms have that balcony so if you can get it, you should! Also the Carriage House Restaurant was very good.

We have stayed overnight on Mackinac Island, including at the famous hotel with the grand porch, and the Iroquois is our hands down favorite. We stayed two nights in June 2022 for our 2nd visit to the hotel, and it did not disappoint. The customer service is excellent, the hotel and room were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. The Carriage House restaurant is excellent. The service was excellent and our meals were perfectly prepared (we had the whitefish and Seafood Mediterranean pasta). The view is great, so we sat at the bar after dinner and had excellent service at the bar as well. I only regret that I did not write down the names of the team members who took such good care of us. The continental breakfast was very nice with good selection of proteins, fruit, and bread items. We feel that the Iroquois delivers the value and experience that we expect, and we will return each time we visit the island.

We loved our stay at the Iroquois.and felt very pampered. Classy, historic hotel in a wonderful location. Our room had a small porch with a water view. Perfect for watching the ferries go back and forth. (The ferries don’t run overnight.) We stayed at the Grand Hotel many years ago, but we both preferred Hotel Iroquois. The hotel has a few days over the summer when the rooms are discounted. Also, some seasonal specials.

We are not happy with Hotel Iroquois. The room was disgusting! Very dirty. It is overpriced. They keep forgetting to provide toiletries. I told everything to a hotel manager. The manager seems not to care. It is not what we expected it's a total disaster even the staffs it's not helpful and accommodating we are so disappointed we paid in full. This Hotel Iroquois ruined it all the week as we were staying. We don't recommend the place.
