We had such a great experience here! The employees went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time on the island. The room was clean and cozy. There are very few rooms which made it quiet and relaxing unlike the other larger hotels. We will be staying here every year now!

Having been to Mackinac Island many times, I’m very familiar with standard accommodations on the island. Many are B & Bs that offer a step back in time in an old home where you share space and time with many other couples around the property. Decided to try Hart’s as we wanted simple and convenient.
Hart’s is different. It’s small and it’s built like a small motel in an excellent location. Maybe 6 or 8 rooms so no schlepping luggage up stairs and down long hallways. All with A/C and TVs. We got a King room and it had everything we needed. Places for both suitcases. Nice bathroom with excellent shower pressure. Outdoors there are several tables on the lawn where you can watch the passing parade of bikes and horse carriages.
Breakfast was normal continental with muffins, cereals, juices, yogurts, etc. No complaints here.

I found that I needed last minute lodging so I split my stay between Hart's and their sister property, Metivier Inn. Both were lovely. Hart's is the only motel style property on the island. Rooms, although small are very clean and comfy. There is a small front lawn where you can read and watch the world go by. A light breakfast is offered which you can enjoy on the lawn. Their staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were very disappointed with our room. The room was very musty smelling. The carpet is very outdated and could definitely stand to be replaced. The air conditioner had lots of dust in the vents which did not help with the poor quality of air in the room. The bed was comfortable and the bedding very nice. We left after one night although had to pay for both nights due to the two night minimum. My wife had fallen during the day and had an ankle injury which caused us to depart earlier than planned. The manager was firm in their two night minimum stay. It seemed very overpriced for a room in those conditions. We won’t be back.

We LOVED our stay at Hart's. Blanca and David are fantastic hosts and very kind. We had a very full breakfast every morning four doors down at Metiviers Inn. Very nice location and quiet. Slept like a baby in the bed. Would highly recommend.

First, this is not a normal bed and breakfast, it is more like a small motel. Breakfast is below par, not much offered. The room had a musty smell, but was very clean, the manager was friendly and helpful. Location was the best part of the stay. Central location. Ok for a one night stay, overpriced for what you got, but that is what Mackinac island is all about

The room was clean, quiet, comfortable. The location is ideal. Just off the main street and down the hill from the Grand. They were able to get me into a room before the listed check in time so I could make a meeting at the Grand. Very helpful staff.

You cannot believe how clean this place is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We thought it might be noisy or smelly because it's near a stable but those weren't problems at all. We have stayed a lot of places on Mac Island and found Hart's to be one of the best!

This bed and breakfast seemed newly remodeled. All appliances worked properly. There weren't any funky odors in the room. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was not your typical bed and breakfast meal. It was more of a Super 8 breakfast with cereal and store bought pastries. It was fine though, I'm not complaining it just wasn't what I expected. I would stay at Hart's again though because when on the island I don't spend much time in the room anyway. It is a great way to stay on the island. I stayed in room 6.

Could have been better. The room was pleasant enough, but noisy during the day and part of the night as they were remodeling their office, which, oddly enough, is adjacent to rooms 1 and 2. The heat didn't work at first, although they responded quickly when I called them about it. I had some difficulty making reservations, though. Their receptionist speaks poor English, misquoted the room rate, and I ended up having to pay $30 more than quoted, though I talked them down from $75. I dunno... I would look elsewhere.
