My husband and I spent the night here and wanted to write a review to make special mention of our kind and generous host, Loriann, who bent over backward to locate our luggage when the Grand Hotel lost it. We were amazed by how quickly she was able to navigate the mess of luggage transfers, ferries and docks, and how...

We have gone to the Lilac House for years and we always have a wonderful time. LoriAnne is always warm and welcoming along. This is the best place to stay on the island because it keeps you close to downtown but you are not in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend the Lilac House...

I spoke with LoriAnn about a reservation on a night that was difficult to find any open rooms on the island. They were getting ready to open the next day so after assuring me she had a room for us she asked that I call back the next day. Upon calling back I was told they were having computer problems...

We wanted to make a last minute trip to Mackinac Island, and tried several places of accommodation, but they all had nothing for the days that we needed. The Lilac House had a couple of days that we could work with, so we booked it. The house has been here since the late 1800s. It has a tremendous amount of...

My husband and I stayed here along with my husbands parents on a family vacation. LoriAnn was very helpful with planning our visit! We had two rooms with a shared bath and it worked out wonderfully! We opened our windows overnight to cool the room down and it was very quiet! I love that Lilac House is a block away...

My husband and I stayed at the Lilac House on Mackinac Island 17 years ago on our honeymoon. We decided to take our family there for our family vacation this year. It was sooo relaxing and this B&B is the best. It is very affordable compared to other lodging on the island. LoriAnn is lovely...very accommodating and helpful. It's like...

I want to begin this review as I am a travel agent... I booked this wonderful B&B for my vacation with my friend for our Birthdays. Lorieann the owner is amazing! I belive that she is the best hostess and truly cares for everyone that stays at this Inn. The location is second to none as it is just a...

We booked the B & B as when we called they were the most responsive and helpful of the hotels called. I was told to stay away from Market St as it was quiet noisy and busy and thankfully I did. The B & B was fantastic, unspoilt old world charm, great location, clean and LoriAnn who ran the B...

First of all, the proprietor of this B&B is a gem. She was accommodating and responsive when I was initially setting up the reservation, and this continued throughout our stay. LoriAnn is terrific on all levels. There was always ice water, snacks, and all sorts of great stuff sitting in the living room for guests to grab whenever they needed....

I hesitate to write this review because I don't want this wonderful place to be booked when we next visit. We have stayed here many times over the years and it is consistently clean and welcoming. The owner grew up in this home (his mother, Mary, was our first host) and he and his fabulous wife have run it in...

“The place is so quiet and noise can be heard from any hotel, I read comments about hearing noises from other bars, but Im sure as we travelled from one bar to another we were causing noises for other hotels and B & B's. There is no noise on the island so anyone can hear a pin drop. We stayed in room 8 I think and heard some noise one night, but it wasn't late and only as I had the windows open.”
