We stayed here just one night and enjoyed the inn. Our room #2 was on the main floor with a king bed. It was nicely decorated with some nice amenities in the room. The bathroom, although small (just toilet and shower - the sink is in the bedroom) had a good strong shower. The hosts were very nice people and anxious to make sure our needs were taken care of. The provided a delicious breakfast, despite the limitations of Covid restrictions. Plenty of areas to relax inside and, had the weather been warmer, it would have been nice to sit outside. The location is perfect on Market St., just a few minutes walk from Shepler’s ferry and bike rentals, and just behind the hustle and bustle of Lakeshore Road, the Main Street on Mackinac Island.

The room was perfect on the first floor, nice bath with shower was glad for the air conditioning. When we arrived there were fresh made cookies everything in the B&B was spotless the fact that your just a block off the main street makes it convenient and quiet. The host David and Blanca are really good people and make sure that your going to have a great stay. We will be back next year for our third stay.

Located just a block off Main Street, its back yard feels like your worlds away. Clean and pretty, with a great front porch. But, for us, the star of the show is the back yard, which is beautifully landscaped, has some nice tables and chairs, and provides a rare sense of solitude and peacefulness, even though you're only steps from the very busy downtown area on Main Street. We went in August, when masks were mandated and food service was affected. The breakfasts and cookies were fine, but unremarkable. Disturbing were the postings of the rules you could apply to choose NOT to wear a mask, along with the phrase "Make America Great." That made us worry about how seriously the owners took the safety measures that were supposed to be put in place. Neither they nor most of their workers EVER wore a mask. That is the only reason we marked them down, but it was important to us.

We had stayed here before, but like to try different places on the island. I don't know why we took so long to return. This is a very special place with very attentive inn keepers and owners. They also went above and beyond to help me surprise my husband with something special for his birthday weekend. The location is extremely convenient to all things Mackinac, yet set on quiet Market Street. Very clean, beautifully decorated rooms with all the right amenities for the island. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the lovely porch and also spent time enjoying and relaxing in the gorgeous gardens after exploring the island. We look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Metivier Inn for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. We both liked the location - one street away from Main Street. It's an easy walk to all of the restaurants and shops on Main Street. This was the first hotel we stayed post-COVID where our room was serviced each day without us asking. Breakfast was wonderful. There were also towels to wipe off our bikes in the morning and an air pump. My husband did not want to stay at a B&B but he said the Metivier Inn changed his mind.

David and Blanca are absolutely wonderful! Even with the pandemic going on, they went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing, comfortable and truly enjoyable. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the room (#5) was perfect. Thanks again to David and Blanca. We will definitely be back. You won’t be disappointed 💙

This was our first visit to Mackinac Id. A friend who has a house on the island recommended it to us. We had a room on the first floor, in the back, facing the gardens. Excellent mattress. Plenty if room. The place is excellently decorated; feels fresh, clean, and bright. Lots of porch to enjoy the gardens, watch people walk by, or just hang out. Snacks in the afternoon. Breakfast was hot, tasty, plentiful, good quality. Innkeepers very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. The inn is one street up from Main St so it keeps you away from the worst of the crowds of day trippers. It's an easy walk to the Grand Hotel, the downtown area, and the ferry slips. We really enjoyed staying here and will book here again.

Dave and Blanca are exceptional hosts. They couldn't have been nicer and their Inn and grounds are absolutely beautiful! As with most B&B's of this charming vintage, the bedrooms are small but adequate. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet at night...which I appreciated so much as I am a very light sleeper. The breakfast was yummy and it changes every morning. In the afternoon, there are a few variety of home baked cookies to munch on as you rest on their wonderful front porch. This Inn is extremely clean and in a prime location for getting around the entire Island. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great place to stay on Mackinac Island.

I have stayed on the island for the last 40 yrs. and this has been one of my best stays. The Inn is charming, clean, quiet, staff extremely helpful and a nice breakfast selection. The location is off the main street, yet has a comfy porch to view the horses go by. This will be my first choice next year

Just a block off the Main Street and close to where Shepler’s ferry docks. Loved the front porch where you could relax and eat breakfast and watch the people line up for horse riding. Hosts and great people and helped us out as we arrived before checkin. Breakfast included French toast- one day with peaches, scrambled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal. Make sure and check out the backyard.
