The room was perfect on the first floor, nice bath with shower was glad for the air conditioning. When we arrived there were fresh made cookies everything in the B&B was spotless the fact that your just a block off the main street makes it convenient and quiet. The host David and Blanca are really good people and make sure that your going to have a great stay. We will be back next year for our third stay.
This Inn is stunning and in the absolute perfect location for all that Mackinac has to offer. It's so close to all of the shopping (just a block off of the main drag), walkable to the Grand Hotel, and an easy walk to the docks for the ferry and other boating activities. Our room was very clean and had a great view (third floor turret room had a lake view!). The innkeepers were very attentive to anything we needed and I especially loved the porch and garden chairs when we needed a break from shopping. We will definitely stay at the Metivier on our future trips to Mackinac!
We had a family gathering and reserved 3 rooms for two nights. Very nice rooms and very clean with nice soft beds. Plus their towels were soft and fluffy. We liked the continental breakfast with good coffee! We would stay there again next year.
David and Blanca are absolutely wonderful! Even with the pandemic going on, they went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing, comfortable and truly enjoyable. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the room (#5) was perfect. Thanks again to David and Blanca. We will definitely be back. You won’t be disappointed 💙
We stayed for 3 nights. This place is a gem. It is spotlessly clean, set back from the street, has a big porch and a shady hilltop garden area, plenty of indoor breakfast seating, and the manager was helpful and friendly. We stayed in a King Deluxe room which was large by Mackinac Island standards. The only drawback was no desk. The Inn is on Market Street, not Main, so it's convenient to the center of town but away from the noise -- especially if you get a room at the back. The best part was the garden in the back. It's up on a shady hill with a dozen chairs. There was a cool breeze even when it was in the 80s. Don't stay anywhere else. And pronounce it Me-TEE-vier, accept on the second syllable.
