We spent two nights in the King-Suite for our annual Mystery Trip that is planned by my Husband. He picked well. This B&B was fabulous. The King-Suite was so beautiful - large bedroom, large bath, sitting room and large private balcony. The mansion itself is magnificent and clean. The towels are so plush, and the bedding is wonderful. This is very convenient to the town. We walked to dinner, to the farmer's market, to the art fair, to the ice cream shop, and to the music on the water. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Ludington.

Our second stay here, and our feeling remains the same. Not only a magnificent example of early 20th century architecture, but a wonderful host and fantastic breakfast. We extended our stay an additional day in part due to weather interfering with our camping plans, but we could have looked for another place to stay. We didn't. The house feels very private for guests. It's a short walk to downtown. Room includes a TV that many B&B's don't, which is handy for rainy days or days needed to recover from biking, beaching, or shopping in beautiful Ludington.

If you are visiting Ludington, MI, please make sure to reserve a night at the Cartier Mansion B & B...You will not be disappointed. We recently stayed in the Lighthouse Room of the mansion and were pleasantly surprised by the rich history, wonderful hospitality and delightful breakfast. Authentic charm with modern amenities and we felt like we were at home. Owners took us on a history-packed tour of the mansion/ground; simply beautiful! We will be back.

My wife and I visited Ludington for a little biking and a photography seminar hosted at the mansion. We stayed in the King Suite and it is truly fit for royalty, with a beautiful bedroom, sitting room, balcony porch and enormous bath. In addition to the accommodations the gourmet meals were fantastic, but the best thing about the stay was the incredible hospitality by Sam and Drew. We almost felt like family. If we need to stay in the area again, I know where we’re staying!

Historic, comfortable, clean, quaint, welcoming are all words that describe our visit to the Cartier Bed and Breakfast. We were a last minute stay and Andrew & Sam were very accommodating, especially in our genealogy search for our Cartier family connection. We enjoyed the tour, excellent meals and loved the town of Ludington!
