I rented cottage 11 for a family reunion for a week. The cottage was very clean and convienent to the city beach. Amenities were wonderful: towels, kitchen supplies and beach chairs! I would just suggest an iron (unless it was there and we couldn't find it). I would definitely recommend it!

We keep going back here. It's so close to Stearns Beach. Those are the main good things about it. If you want luxury, go somewhere else but for simple comfort this is the place. It's just a big room with a little cooktop kitchenette (big gas grill outside) and tiny bathroom with a tiny shower. The beds are comfortable and the place is clean. The flowers outside are beautiful. My daughter and I keep finding out what we need to bring with us. Last year it was steak knives. We went to the Ludington Goodwill for those (it's very hard to cut steak with plastic knives). This year it was a bottle opener. How could there not be a bottle opener in the drawer? We gave up and drank orange juice. I'm sure we will return and be better prepared.

Thank you for your review and when you stay with us again please call us with anything even as small as a bottle opener which we will make sure we get for you. Unfortunately some things get lost over the summer and we definitely want to know if there is something you need.

We rented cottage 2 for 3 nights. We had our 6'5" son with us who was recovering from knee surgery. The cottage has a queen bed plus an extra long twin trundle bed. There was also a rollaway bed. I have no idea where one would put that if it was needed. The place has a small well equipped kitchen, a fireplace and a wicker love seat. The bathroom is very small. The door hits the toilet and you have to walk in and close the door before you can use the toilet. This was the only detractor. The place was very clean. There is no air conditioning but the windows open and lake breezes kept us comfortable. It is right across from the beach and has a large communal deck with grill, tables and chairs. Wifi is available and there was cable tv. It is very close to downtown area and is walkable to most places. Though it is very small it was comfortable, clean and fulfilled our needs.

We stayed in Jimmy's Beach house which is part of Parkview Cottages. Wonderful location and spotless accommodation. One of the nicest places to stay while in Ludington. The only thing lacking was outdoor sitting, the patio area could be improved on.

I really liked the cottage (cottage #1). It was small and everything in one room (except the bathroom) but it was cute. Walking distance to the beach. Good natural light in the room. I do agree that the bed was too hard for my taste. That's my only complaint. Overall a nice place to stay.

We left after 2 nights and got a brand name hotel. We wanted a cottage close to the beach, with a kitchenette, easy parking. This seemed to fit the bill on a short notice reservation and this was the only vacancy to be found. The online/phone reservation agent (not the owner)was friendly and prompt. My rental experience made me ask her point blank if the bed was comfortable( which is a must when traveling we all can agree on).She said she never had a complaint which was not an answer of yes or no.Reluctantly we rented it.What a mistake. It was quiant, cramped, dark knotty pine walls and ceiling, nice swing open windows, fireplace. It had an updated very small kitchenette with a fridge that wobbled when you open it.The bathroom was very small and the shower stall had nice tile but the water pressure was like a watering can.The wifi worked ok and the kitchen was well supplied.Did I mention it was cramped. Now for the worst-THE BED.It was hard as a rock and my wife and I got very little sleep and sore backs when we saw the sun stream in the thin yellow curtains. There is about 1 foot of space around the bed and little room to put anything. The 4ft love seat at the end of the bed was where I spent the second sleepless night. That was all we could take.I called the agent and cancelled the next 2 nights which they refunded promply. They offered the last 2 nights for free but our backs couldnt take it.I read great reviews of the other units they offer but none were vacant. This has a great location close to Sterns Park beach.easy parking right along the side on Fitch St. Gas BBQ grills,WIFI,fireplaces. But without a decent shower and a good nights sleep I cannot recommend COTTAGE #1.My recomendation would be to knock down the wall between #1 and #2 and make large family unit.

I did let the customer know there had never been complaints on the beds at the cottages. This particular bed is a platform bed and is firm which I should have explained, my apologies.

The only con: size, but you know it's going to be small when you book. Pros: So many things provided from dishes and cookware and paper products to trash bags, but everything was really high quality, really cute or both. The owners use every inch of space in such a smart way - modern fridge, narrow. Wine glasses - on rack under cabinet. Ironing board, in narrow closet. Dish drainer - under sink on side. Everything matched, everything we could think of needing was there. Spices, coffee filters, even olive oil :) Super comfy bed and even a foam topper on the fold out single bed/loveseat. Impeccably clean, not one bug or smudge. Nice outdoor common deck with grills and tables and chairs, our own little patio with comfy chairs, places to hang beach towels. One block from the main city beach, Stearns. A few blocks the other way to town restaurants and shopping. Well-tended screens, a fireplace (didn't use, it's summer). A parking spot, cute lakeshore decor (welcome mat says "Breathe...you're at the lake" and there are oar-towel hangers and the like. Will definitely stay again, great price for such a cute well cared for place.

Room Tip: We probably had the "worst" - #7 - central to the others, but it was lovely.

Have vacationed in and around Ludington over the past 35 years. From camping to hotel, you name it. This time we wanted closeness to the lake, the convenience to walk more, privacy, eat healthier, and the freedom to come and go without jumping a lot of hoops. So this vacation at Parkview Cottages in particular vacation was exceptional. We had cottage #2 on the corner where the the weather and breezes, from the lake, were in our favor. Everything you need, from coffee filters to the clothesline rope was provided. Even the surrounding neighbors were very friendly. The cottages have a lot of history and is shown by some of the decor in the cabin. Although we never used the fireplace, i'm sure they would make the evenings in the fall season cozy. So if you want to experience the perfect beach town that's growing but still has that small charming feel, Ludington is it. Beautiful beaches, sunsets, fishing at its best, shopping and of course the SS Bager, And if you want a way to enjoy what Ludington has to offer, then I suggest "Parkview Cottages on the lake". A little computer searching and a phone call was all it took. Jill made it easy. The rest of the vacation was memorable.

We have experienced a lot of cottages over the years. This was by far our best experience. Not only from a responsive management perspective (Jill was great) but the comfort of the cottage itself was awesome. Very clean! Which can be very hard to find in cottage experiences. Our unit was even a "pet friendly" unit. You would never know it. When we are back in Ludington for a weekend getaway, this will be where we return. Highly recommend!
