Don't stay at this hotel. It's dirty, there's barely any wifi (we had none in our room despite the claim of free wifi - the manager said they were 'investigating the issue'), there's no cell service, everything is damp and the rooms smell like mildew. Worst of all, the staff doesn't care about any of these issues when voiced in... More

Room was full of mold. Unhealthy. Needs mold mediation and complete remodeling. Filthy, dirty, disgusting. Air in the room should not be breathed for any amount of time. The carpet is trashed. You can't even take off your shoes without your feet turning black. The manager is far from qualified to run a facility. He tells his own versions of... More

This was our 5th time here. Saw some small improvements being made-but this year was the worst. Room was dirty-food on floor, spider webs, sand in furniture, food in stove and dirty, dirty dishes. No knives, slippery bath tub, marred walls and patched ceilings. No towel service, ran out of Kleenex. Pop in office was outdated-mentioned this and felt totally... More

Yes it's old and yes it badly needs updating but if you can look past that, this is a charming place to stay. As soon as I walked to the office and saw the water and the dam on the backside, I fell in love. My biggest concern was the sound of the rushing water from the dam, I was... More

As said by most of the reviews its old and dirty. Carpet was stained, parking was a joke and wifi was a joke. I got a better signal from shops across the river but didn't have their passwords to log on. Room 301 is the close to the office and nobody got more than 2 bars at most. Like most... More

This is at least our 5th or 6th time staying at the Falling Waters Lodge. It has been a few years since we have been here and my what a difference. As indicated by other reviews this poor old lady needs a facelift. The carpet is dirty. The bed in the loft suite was on the main floor with the... More

I was pleasantly surprised how much we liked this place. YES it could use renovation and a few touch ups… but where else can you stay right on a private beach on Lake Michigan with such charm, ambiance and affordability? People, if you want the Ritz, go to Traverse City and pay $700/night for a spot on the road, across... More

This hotel has a great location and friendly staff, but those are its only positives. They need to renovate! First, what beach hotel has carpet. It looked dirty and smelled of mildew. The bathroom and especially the tub were scary. The wifi was almost nonexistent; it was the running joke with my Son. The pillows were paper thin. That said,... More

Overpriced, outdated, no amenities. Everything in the lodge and almost $200+ room per night was outdated, our bathroom sink was clogged and there was no housekeeping services, parking, breakfast, or maintenance. It's not worth the location when there's two other much nicer places for around the same price in the area, The Riverside Inn and The Leland Lodge.// In response... More

When planning our trip, we thought that the almost $300 / night price for the upgraded one bedroom suite meant we could expect a somewhat decent room. Not completely expecting what we're used to in the San Francisco area, but still expecting the room to be on par with what we pay in the Bay Area for a nice room-we... More
