This is at least our 5th or 6th time staying at the Falling Waters Lodge. It has been a few years since we have been here and my what a difference. As indicated by other reviews this poor old lady needs a facelift. The carpet is dirty. The bed in the loft suite was on the main floor with the... More

I was pleasantly surprised how much we liked this place. YES it could use renovation and a few touch ups… but where else can you stay right on a private beach on Lake Michigan with such charm, ambiance and affordability? People, if you want the Ritz, go to Traverse City and pay $700/night for a spot on the road, across... More

This hotel has a great location and friendly staff, but those are its only positives. They need to renovate! First, what beach hotel has carpet. It looked dirty and smelled of mildew. The bathroom and especially the tub were scary. The wifi was almost nonexistent; it was the running joke with my Son. The pillows were paper thin. That said,... More

Overpriced, outdated, no amenities. Everything in the lodge and almost $200+ room per night was outdated, our bathroom sink was clogged and there was no housekeeping services, parking, breakfast, or maintenance. It's not worth the location when there's two other much nicer places for around the same price in the area, The Riverside Inn and The Leland Lodge.// In response... More

When planning our trip, we thought that the almost $300 / night price for the upgraded one bedroom suite meant we could expect a somewhat decent room. Not completely expecting what we're used to in the San Francisco area, but still expecting the room to be on par with what we pay in the Bay Area for a nice room-we... More

We finally made it to the Falling Waters Lodge to celebrate our anniversary. I expected a basic and possibly dated room, but I also expected clean. At the top of the staircase as we were carrying our luggage to our room, the garbage can was full of bags of garbage and they were also piled all around it. We had... More

My wife and I stayed over night here and LOVED it. So peaceful and quiet. I was looking for Popeye because the harbor along side the hotel looks like Sweet Haven. The room was clean and the clerk was most helpful. Cell phone and internet was very spotty so my grandkids would hate no connection. As for us we went... More

My family and I stayed this past week along with my two brothers and their families. We all had a fantastic time. Everyone's room was clean - and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back next year for sure!

Love this place, we don't get here often enough, we spent our 1st, 5th, and 9th anniversary weekend here 29 years ago and plan to go back again for our 30th. Its romantic, quaint, private, and yet so friendly. Just a great place to stay if you are in the area.

Just the perfect place to stay within Leland. While it has issues this place is perfectly situated to walk anywhere in Fishtown. It was relaxing, sitting outside, listening to the rush of the water, flowing from the dam. A short walk to the beach, to the Manitou boat cruise and the harbor. The room was clean, comfortable and at times... More
