You better be able to climb stairs, because all rooms are upstairs. We could not have had a better view of the lake in the good harbor room. The rooms are small, but adequate. No TV or any of the things you normally get at a B&B. The breakfast was continental.

We stayed two nights in the southwest corner room with windows on two sides. It overlooks a small, cozy harbor by which boats may access the Riverside Inn (best restaurant around-requires reservations even if you're living there-very popular) and another close-by restaurant/bar. After going to bed the first night, we took a video of an old "woody" leaving the other... More

The B&B part of this establishment seems to be an afterthought. The building has much history and is beautifully maintained. The rooms are quaint but substantial in size (there are only 4 rooms all on the second floor, no elevators.) We didn't eat at the restaurant below but heard raves on the food,l The breakfast was homemade granola, breads, fruits... More

We stayed at the Riverside Inn as part of a visit to see the leaves in Michigan. The hostess was most gracious and made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious and the bed quite comfortable. The food in the restaurant was out of this world and we enjoyed our meal there immensely. It was a lovely stay and... More

Oh my goodness.... What a wonderfully delicious and superbly prepared dinner!! We had the stuffed calamari which was to die for!! Totally different than any calamari we had ever tasted!! And stuffed with chorizo sausage made in house.... A must try. I had the Stuffed Kabocha Squash that, I think, was the best dish I have had in years!! Fargo,... More

This wasn't our first time at the Riverside, nor will it be our last. The food and drinks have been good and still are. The dishes and their preparations tend to be traditional, but the use of locally sourced ingredients elevates them. The Inn's location next to the river is pleasant, away from the M22 summertime hubbub. I enjoy creative... More

Took friends here for their maiden dinner. Started with the Calamari and Scallops, which were delectable. All four dinners were incredible. I had the special Shrimp Pasta dish and left wanting more. We have been here several times, but it has a couple 2-3 years ago. Our server, Sebastian was on top of his game and provided excellent advice and... More

We had a very nice dinner here recently. Good food and friendly service. It's in a nice location- on the river and back off a side street, but still really close to Fishtown and the shops in Leland. I wish we could have sat outside- their deck is right on the river and it looked really nice (but it rained... More

We were seated at a lovely table outdoors overlooking the river. The gardens are beautiful & our waitress, Karen, was very attentive. My husband had the duck & I had the fresh white fish (caught that day by the local fishery). Both dishes were superb. To top off the night we shared the homemade apple pie with vanilla bean ice... The Riverside is a nice inn in a great location in Leland, steps away from the Bluebird and Fishtown. Our room was very "cozy" (read small), but adequate. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. The back deck and benches on the dock are great for enjoying a drink in the evening. The continental breakfast is nothing to rave... More
