There is not much in Laurium itself, but this is a fantastic place to stay. I tried getting a room for a last minute weekend away, the owner put me on a waiting list and called the next morning with two rooms. We stayed one night in the main Manor, and one night in the Victorian Inn. Both rooms were... More

As is often the case, these 100+ year old mansions are hard to keep looking like they did a century before, but the owners definitely work hard on this one. It is in decent shape, and is well furnished and clean. Friendly people, and set in a nice, quiet neighborhood near the center of town. Also around the corner from... More

Take the self guided tour to find out more sbout the history of the inn while you are there. We stayed in room 9 which was the larger of the Maids rooms on the 3rd floor. The inn is amazing and furnished with period antiques. Breakfast was buffet style with rosemary and cream cheese eggs, blueberry banana bread with an... More

The people at Laurium were so nice and absolutely accommodating! The rooms are spacious and warm feeling, but need a little tlc. They kept a unique feeling in each room which is great! Unfortunately the town the inn is located does not have any attractions, restaurants or shops. If you are looking to do things or eat anywhere, you will... More

Visiting at he Laurium Manor Inn in Laurium, Michigan, is like stepping back in time. The owners of Laurium Manor Inn own two mansions which are almost across the street from each other. When we called about a room, we were offered a three room suite in the mansion across the street from the Laurium Manor called the Victorian Hall,... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Laurium. What a grand place. We loved having free range of the mansion and being able to explore so many of the rooms. Some of the rooms are in need of additional restoration, for example there was peeling wallpaper over the fireplace in the living room, but that didn't really take away from... More

The fascination with the way our grandparents lived never fades. I could see them sitting in the parlor, and imagined the conversation they might have had. Enjoyed the postings in the Ball Room with the history of the building and the progress of the renovations. Spent hours viewing the pictures on facebook. Julie was gracious with telling us about her... More

Have you ever wanted to live in the biggest house in an area? Now is your chance. Excellent bed and breakfast in an old mansion. This is a historical site. Be sure to take self guided tour. The posters in the ballroom of the restoration process are very interesting. Great breakfasts. Gives you the experience of being a mining baron

Once owned by the president of th Hecla Mining Company, this mansion has been both preserved and modernized. Each room is period decorated and closets, in some cases, have been modified into baths. The property is well maintained and the owners and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the morning breakfast is delicious! Another benefit... More

Have stayed twice, once in the main house and the other accorss the street, loved it both times! Each room is unique and the common areas also have great charm. There is a local legend that Teddy Roosevelt stayed here while campaigning. The location of this quiet neighborhood enables guest to walk to anywhere they want in town. And Laurium... More
