Really lovely old home form one of the lumber barons that has been lovingly restored. Rooms are all decorated in the original style. Lots of beautiful furniture and wall papers. Each room has it's own special charm. Visitors can tour the manor if they are not staying. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style. I would go back in a minute if...

I loved staying here. we only stayed one night but will return. The manor is rich in history. lots of historic pictures on the walls. Felt like we stepped back in time. we were warmly welcomed. snacks were available in the evening which were very good. also breakfast in the morning was very relaxing. We stayed in a beautiful room. This house is a true gem. Too bad previous owners stripped it of the original windows, fixtures etc. we did the tour and the owners did a great job recreating the past. A little disappointing to find out that the history of this place conveniently leaves out the fact that this B and B...

We arrived here around 3:00 to check in and wish we had done the tour. We received our key, checked out the room and then headed back out to do more exploring. When we arrived back later that night it was a bit difficult to get our key to work correctly in the front door (which irritated BF), but once...

This B&B was a huge disapointment and I would rather stay at Motel 6 than this place. It is dark, old, not well kept, not that clean and really disappointing. I do not have any thing good to write in connection to or stay. We stayed for one night during or trip round Lake Michigan and we will not be...

Wonderful place to stay!! Every room is beautiful, the breakfasts are wonderful and hosts and staff very friendly. There are two old Victorian homes owned by the same family and both are great. If you stay at the Victorian mansion, you will have to walk 100 yards for your breakfast.

There is not much in Laurium itself, but this is a fantastic place to stay. I tried getting a room for a last minute weekend away, the owner put me on a waiting list and called the next morning with two rooms. We stayed one night in the main Manor, and one night in the Victorian Inn. Both rooms were...

As is often the case, these 100+ year old mansions are hard to keep looking like they did a century before, but the owners definitely work hard on this one. It is in decent shape, and is well furnished and clean. Friendly people, and set in a nice, quiet neighborhood near the center of town. Also around the corner from...

Take the self guided tour to find out more sbout the history of the inn while you are there. We stayed in room 9 which was the larger of the Maids rooms on the 3rd floor. The inn is amazing and furnished with period antiques. Breakfast was buffet style with rosemary and cream cheese eggs, blueberry banana bread with an...

The people at Laurium were so nice and absolutely accommodating! The rooms are spacious and warm feeling, but need a little tlc. They kept a unique feeling in each room which is great! Unfortunately the town the inn is located does not have any attractions, restaurants or shops. If you are looking to do things or eat anywhere, you will...
