We really enjoyed our stay at the Laurium. What a grand place. We loved having free range of the mansion and being able to explore so many of the rooms. Some of the rooms are in need of additional restoration, for example there was peeling wallpaper over the fireplace in the living room, but that didn't really take away from... More

The fascination with the way our grandparents lived never fades. I could see them sitting in the parlor, and imagined the conversation they might have had. Enjoyed the postings in the Ball Room with the history of the building and the progress of the renovations. Spent hours viewing the pictures on facebook. Julie was gracious with telling us about her... More

Have you ever wanted to live in the biggest house in an area? Now is your chance. Excellent bed and breakfast in an old mansion. This is a historical site. Be sure to take self guided tour. The posters in the ballroom of the restoration process are very interesting. Great breakfasts. Gives you the experience of being a mining baron

Once owned by the president of th Hecla Mining Company, this mansion has been both preserved and modernized. Each room is period decorated and closets, in some cases, have been modified into baths. The property is well maintained and the owners and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the morning breakfast is delicious! Another benefit... More

Have stayed twice, once in the main house and the other accorss the street, loved it both times! Each room is unique and the common areas also have great charm. There is a local legend that Teddy Roosevelt stayed here while campaigning. The location of this quiet neighborhood enables guest to walk to anywhere they want in town. And Laurium... More

Beautiful home, great breakfasts, very nice staff. Michelle was very friendly, offered recommendations and even called for reservations. We stayed in one of the maids rooms (#8) on the third floor. It was a nice room, though the bathroom was very cramped. Neat to see the original fixtures. The bed was very comfy. We would stay again with family, as... More

We have been coming here for the last 15 years during Fall Colors and other times throughout the year. We like the Victorian Hall the best and our favorite rooms are #11 and # 12, but I don't think there is one we wouldn't stay in. Comfy beds and pillows, great showers...the decor makes you feel as though you stepped... More

After 12 years of wanting to go there we finally got to stay there in late Sept '15. The staff couldn't be more friendly and the Inn is so cool!!! We're already talking about going back. Next time we're staying at the Victorian Mansion across the street. Already have our room picked out!! Yes, the Inn could use some work,... More

The staff was super friendly and helpful. There were treats at night. The breakfast was delightfully different. The pancakes were lemon cream. The jams homemade with a twist in flavors. The ceilings were very high. The rooms were huge. You could sleep in the closet! The claw foot tub was a delight. There were plenty of thick towels and space... More

My wife and I stayed at the Laurium Manor Inn a couple of nights. The structure is a magnificent 19th century home with a porch and pillars, large rooms with high ceilings and antique furnishings. The staff are friendly, the breakfasts are great and the king size bed provided a good night's rest, after exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. We enjoyed... More
