Based on reviews we were very excited to stay at the Victorian Hall B&B. Unfortunately, our stay was not anything close to the five star ratings posted by other reviewers. Although the two mansions have impressive histories, they are dark and gloomy. Our room (12) was oppressively warm, but the young woman who showed us the room said to turn... More

We loved our stay so much here we stayed an extra night. I found this gem of a B&B complex totally by accident because a Google search of Calumet indicated that all of its major hotels were full. Widening my search I discovered the Laurium Mansion and Victorian Hall in Laurium, only a mile away from Calumet. Both mansions were... More

I love history and old homes, so I thought my one splurge on my trip would be satisfied here at this historical, beautiful B&B. I also chose this home, over the Laurium Manor, across the street, is that they have one first floor room here. No stairs for me! My room was wonderful. There is a small entry, with an... More

As a stop off on an extended trip through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Victorian Hall in Laurium was beatiful, romantic and a must-do-again for my wife and me. We enjoyed room 14, the Superior Suite, immensely! The sitting room was quaint, the bathroom with hot tub, while not exceptionally elegant, fit well in the period and decor of the... More

This sister B&B to the Laurium Manor is just as gracious and stately as it's twin, but we found it quieter and less hectic. It has a lovely wide wrap around porch with a porch swing around the side, just perfect for curling up with a book. The rooms are large and decorated with period furniture, much like the Laurium... My daughter and I stayed at Victorian Hall for two nights before crossing the street to also stay in Laurium Manor. Victorina Hall was once again a lovely, quiet, enjoyable time. There are always fresh goodies waiting in the dining room for a nice before bed snack. There are tea, coffee and hot cocoa supplies in the butler's pantry for... More

My sister and I were fortunate to be able to spend two nights at this lovely, warm and welcoming Victorian B&B this past weekend. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners; most gracious and friendly...we felt very welcomed. One checks in for both the Victorian Hall and Laurium Manor at the reception desk in... Made reservations online for the Victorian Hall Bed and Breakfast (associated with Laurium across the street, but Victorian is a little bit cheaper). The front desk is at Laurium, so when we arrived to check in, they informed us that we were the only people scheduled to stay there that night so they upgraded us to a room in Victorian,... More

My friend and I took a trip to Michigan some time back and stayed overnight at Victorian Hall B&B, across the street from Laurium Manor. Now, we are both rational, practical people, but the minute we walked into this place, we felt uncomfortable. There was a picture on the mantelpiece of the owner, and we felt his presence everywhere. Turns... More

“Kingston room-first floor!”

“Breakfast is across the street in the dining room of Laurium Manor each morning. Victorian Hall is a quieter stay as it is not included on the tour offered at Laurium Manor, however both properties offer their own unique atmosphere and feel. I would recommend both. Victorian Hall is the only one that offers a first floor room if needed. No elevators so that is a nice option if someone has difficulty with the stairs.”

“Rooms at Victorian Hall are quieter as the tour of Laurium Manor does not go to the Victorian Hall; however if you prefer more people around you for the bump in the night noises I would suggest staying at Laurium Manor. Both homes are excellent choices.”
