Tried checking in at 4:00 pm only to be told the room wasn't clean yet, returned after dinner at 9:30 and they were just finishing!?! This place is well past its prime and is falling apart. The room looked old and dirty, the AC wasn't working, and nobody seemed to care. Plenty of kids in the ground floor pool kept the noise level up there. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else, anywhere.

If I could figure out how not to spend another night here I would. My coworkers don’t seem to have an issue but I find this the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for a while. The elevator floor was sticky and I can see my footprints in the entry way of my room now, not sure what I have tracked in. I will be throwing out the slippers I brought. There is a huge dried up snot on the wall of the bathroom. Checkin staff was uninterested (and maskless). Location is behind everything next to a shuttered Cracker barrel. There are several cars in the parking lot that looked lived in. The fan in the bathroom keeps making squeaking noises every 10 minutes or so. I will be recommending my company remove this hotel from their preferred list so as to not force their employees to stay here again.

Nightmare! I don't even know where to begin....after calling the morning of Friday July 16th to inform the front desk that we would be checking in late (post 9pm) due to a baseball tournament, and the front desk informing us that a late check in was completely fine, my elderly father and two young sons check in that evening, only to have them informed by the unprofessional and rude front desk that they gave our room away. My father and sons waited over 90 minutes for them to find a room, and they end up on a 12x12 room with one full bed and a cot, no towels, no soap and no shampoo. I reserved and paid for a king room with sleeper sofa well over 6 weeks prior. The front desk was extremely rude, hung up on me multiple times when I called, and apparently no manager is ever on duty. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Older hotel next to closed cracker barrel. Renovated and they try to help but the details are lacking. Handles on sink and toilet fell off. I had to put back on and be careful not to knock off. Shower lacks water but I guess that is how the new ones are. Smokers right outside side doors. Expressway noise. Staff does not seem to care about how loud guests are. Loud yelling at 5 am. Rooms are clean and tv was good. Internet quite slow without gold/platinum upgrade. Staff put on masks when I came up to desk. Breakfast was supposed to have choices but they were out. You get a little bag of what they have. I guess OK but I expected Marriott quality. I'd pay a little more for a nicer place next time.

This is our favorite place to stay in Kalamazoo. Lace and the staff here are top notch. They've gone out of their way to help us have a comfortable stay. The hotel and the rooms are clean and have a mini fridge.
