Room appeared clean at first, but the kitchen and utensils were not clean. Food spots left over on silverware and dishes. Bathroom door was falling off the hinges and hanging crooked. Bathroom fan did not work. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. The shower had streaks of mildew on the walls. The appliances look new, but the rest is outdated. The bathroom counter is so low, I could kneel down and still use the sink comfortably. The walls are thick enough you don't hear other guest noise, but the windows are cheap and thin and block no noise.

Several problems.: at check in the Desk clerk took my credit card & charged my room for $690. She insisted it had not been prepaid by my company (which it was). There is no elevator & I had 2 bags. One night a man pounded on my door. I screamed the first time & he left but came back a second time. That time I called the front desk & the clerk came up. When I checked out no apologies were offered & no response to my email to the manager who was never on site when I was there.

I stayed here in mid-January for a solo business trip. This was the closest Marriott to my business. When booking, I wasn’t aware that the rooms were located in individual bungalows with an upstairs/downstairs. Overall, the hotel was okay but, the walls are very thin. I could hear everything outside and above between kids running up and down the stairway to people walking above. My concern over security came when 3 adults started smoking outside my room between 12 - 1 am. Later, I learned that they were guests but, I initially could not tell if they were employees, homeless, or guests. It was irritating because I could hear their loud voices and see people standing in a dark hallway when trying to sleep. Because I was alone, I didn’t go out to make them aware there were other guests although I’m not sure that would have helped.

I can not imagine how frustrating it was to have loud neighbors, and people outside your door talking loudly. I would like to personally apologize that you experienced that during your time with us. We do have a staff member that walks the property once an hour to combat problems such as yours. However it seems as though we missed catching it while it was happening. When these items are reported we do take every measure necessary to keep the facility quite so everyone can get a good nights rest and feel secure. I wish your experience at our property had turned out differently, and we will defiantly be talking about your review as a team to try and prevent these situations from happening in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.

The staff was nice and friendly but the room itself was physically depressing. The units require walking outside in the cold or rain or snow to get to breakfast or exercise. The pool is outdoors and the exercise room is small. The worst part was when the cleaning folks would do the minimal cleaning they let these huge house flies into the unit that was a sporting event to kill. Most of all, there was some sort of water main break and the check in clerk didn’t say a word and the water came out black from the sink. I didn’t notice it until it was in my mouth.

We had a little mix up at check in(my fault). Shawnica at the front desk went above and beyond to clear it up. She was so helpful, friendly and pleasant. Marriott you have a wonderful employee there! Room was spacious, free wonderful breakfast and free shuttle to downtown. Was a wonderful stay!
