Our stay was easy and convenient. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was organized well and clean. The stairway was clean and well lit. We went to Presidential Brewing Company and listened to some awesome live music and the food/beers were amazing.
Ordinarily, I would have rated this property a 4 - maybe even a 5. But the fact that only one person on the staff (both front desk and housekeeping) ever wore a mask - at a time when Michigan has one of the highest infection rates in the country - is both mind-boggling and shameful. And on some occasions I saw maskless guests interacting with the maskless staff, so it is fair to say they are not requiring guests to mask up either. The property itself is nice and well-cared for. My room was very clean and well-outfitted, and everything was in good repair. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was fine, with plenty of hot water. My room faced the airport, but I never heard a plane. There is a fitness center and indoor pool, both of which were larger and better equipped than I expected from a Hampton Inn. They are both open as of this writing and they have implemented policies to limit capacity and enforce social distancing. Though, if no one is wearing a mask, why bother? As with some other Hampton Inns, breakfast is currently a grab and go bag. One thing to watch out for is that the few parking spots in front of the property are pretty narrow. I would suggest parking in the main lot around the side of the property (there is an entrance from the side parking lot that requires a room key for access).…
This was a nightmare from hell they couldn’t accommodate they were rude unapologetic like geesh horrible they compliment breakfast is a joke the room service is none n the manager is worse than his workers they beds are for the garbage worse sleeping I’ve ever had yAwl really need to clean up this location
Stayed here for one night . Had a king Studio with a sleeper sofa. Rooms X04 will be the same. Great room...very clean. Nice to have the cleaned sticker on the door. Huge shower with the sliding glass doors. Like those much better than the tub combination. Comfortable bed. Breakfast kind of meh....since "Covid" only have a bag breakfast. I have stayed at other Hamptons during this pandemic, and they had it set up so that the employees got everything for you in the breakfast area. Seemed to work well. Not sure if this is a state specific thing, or if this one just chooses to do it this way. But be aware, that not a real breakfast. Other than that, quiet clean hotel!
Masks are supposedly required in all public areas. However, the woman running the front desk, does not wear a mask. Not just behind the desk behind a plexiglass partition. A, there is no partition. B, I saw her in the 4th floor hallway without a mask as well. We booked a king studio room, which has a king size bed and a pull out couch. The room is well laid out and nicely designed. The bed is quite firm. My wife loved it, it was a bit too firm for my preference. A few nits to pick. There was only an outlet on one side of the bed. The toilet paper is worse than TP at the middle school I teach at. The extra blanket in the closet was ... Crispy. The one real letdown was the moldy failing caulk joint at the base of the tub.
