Though short, my entire stay was a pleasure. Upon arrival Adam, the front desk manager welcomed me and set up all of my parking and dining passes. He went out of his way to provide me with a room with a view. The room did not disappoint- beautifully and tastefully furnished, large bath with a great shower, well designed closet and kitchenette areas- all exceptionally clean. I loved the indoor salt water pool with large windows into a courtyard. Every staff member that I encountered-front desk, housekeeping, server and bartender were professional, helpful and friendly. I also appreciated that there is a parking ramp directly across the street with a second floor enclosed pedestrian bridge so I didn't have to carry my luggage in the snow!

I choose Hilton Garden Inn Kalamazoo because the property is always immaculate and the people do a fantastic job of servicing their customers. I walked in and regardless of what time of day usually someone at the front desk knows my name and welcome me to my home away from home, My room is always clean and fresh. Amanda, the assistant manager in Brad Schmitz, doing an excellent job making sure that I am well served along with all of the other guests thank you for what you do and allowing me to know that when I get there, I will have a good stay and a restful night.

Thanks to Adam Lee Johnson, there is only one hotel I will stay in when I come to Kalamazoo! I came into town on business with Dixon's Violin, who played last night at Bell's Eccentric Cafe (which is 8 minute walk away), and Adam set me up in his favorite room, which was pretty unreal (see photos below). I'm 6'7, and viking- like, so you can imagine my joy when I was greeted with a giant room, high ceilings, and an awe-inspiring view of Downtown Kalamazoo. It was such a pleasure to be able to walk to and from the show, and gave me the feeling of living in the city (which I've never felt before). From the key card activated lights, to the impeccable shower and overall spaciousness of the room, the Hilton Garden Inn has my heart, and is where I will recommend the touring musicians I work with stay when playing Kalamazoo. Thank you Adam, and the entire Hilton Garden Family for an extra-special evening in Kzoo.

Not fit to be a Hilton Garden Inn. The staff has no pride and that is likely due to poor management . For example , I have stayed here twice ( just because it’s a company preferred hotel) they do not offer housekeeping unless you explicitly request it. During both stays , even after requesting it , they did not do my room . When I complained to the front desk , the response was . “Hey, we can only request it but housekeeping decides whether to pick up the request” . What ?!!! After I complained , someone came to the room and left new towels but did not bother to do anything else ( empty trash, remove old towels or refill soap ). After complaining yet another time , they finally did do the room properly.
Some other things that I wasn’t thrilled about but you should know: The doors are locked 24x7 . The area immediately surrounding the hotel seems safe but it does get pretty rough pretty fast in just a few blocks . Parking is free . The garage is right across the street and you can access the hotel via a pedestrian walkway. That is locked too. There is a restaurant downstairs but food and service aren’t so great.
There are positives too. The rooms are nice and beds and pillows very comfortable. There is a pool which is almost always empty .
To sum up, I wouldn’t rush to stay here but if the company pays for my stay, I may stay here again albeit with an expectation of a lower quality of service.

I cannot say enough good things about Adam J., the front desk manager at Hilton Garden Inn Kalamazoo—he single-handedly turned a stressful situation into an incredible experience for my family.
We arrived in Kalamazoo for a two-night stay at the hotel that shares a building with Hilton Garden Inn, only to be told that the room configuration we reserved was unavailable. What they offered simply would not work for my family of four, and their customer service was disappointing at best. It was nearly 9 PM, we were exhausted from traveling, and we had nowhere to stay.
On a whim, I decided to check if Hilton Garden Inn had availability, and that’s when Adam J. saved the day. He was incredibly kind, understanding, and went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience caused by the other hotel—even though he didn’t have to. He truly cared about making sure my family was comfortable and taken care of.
His genuine kindness and generosity were unlike anything I have experienced in my 47 years of traveling. Because of Adam, not only was our evening salvaged, but our entire weekend was fantastic.
This level of outstanding customer service is what sets a hotel apart. I will absolutely return to this Hilton Garden Inn, and I sincerely hope Adam J. gets the recognition he deserves!

Very nice stay at this hotel which was walking distance to the train/bus station. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant/bar is a bit expensive and menu limited but handy for those "on the go". We were most impressed by a guy named Alex who handled the front desk like a pro. He checked us in, gave us some needed parking instructions due to road construction in the area, made restaurant recommendations, and answered all our questions like a true conserge.

We were here on tour and when I say we were treated like royalty I mean it! From the personalized welcome on the tv screens to the breakfast vouchers and personalized downtown recommendations, this place truly exceeded my expectations. Adam J at the front desk made us feel like our travels were worthwhile and celebrated. He even gave us a late checkout which means the world to me. What a wonderful place to call home! This is our 2nd summer staying at the hotel and we truly feel like it's our 2nd Home. It is extremely well located in downtown Kalamazoo and it has this charming nouveau feel. Great common areas with a fun lobby, workout room, pool and laundry facility. The room we stay in has a kitchenette which makes our stay a little easier. Our puppy Gio loves this place and considers it his second home too. But what makes this place feel like home is the staff. They are all so accommodating and friendly. Special Shout out to Devon and Leah (the sales managers) for ALWAYS going out of their way to make us feel at Home2.

By far, the best Hilton property that I have ever stayed at. Being a pilot and living on the road for a week at a time, I always stay at a Hilton product. This one topped the Chart. Clean and beautiful, friendly, and good food in the restaurant “Garden Grill”. While sitting at the bar with amazing cocktails, I noticed they even hand cut their fries! That was impressive!! The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. While sitting at breakfast this morning, I have never been treated with such kindness. A lovely lady, came by and spoke with me. She had been with this company 31 years, and treated it like her own! Bravo to this group! I wish every Hilton employee all over the world could come and take lessons from this one location!

When I tell you I found the Hilton Garden Inn in the knick of time, I truly found it in the Knick of time. They were the only hotel within a five mile radius that had high ratings and rooms available.
From the moment I entered the hotel, the entire staff was beyond welcoming. Adam, the manager, was super helpful in ensuring my hotel stay was the best one yet. His insight in choosing the room, recommending items at their in house restaurant, and sharing all of the hotel amenities The rooms were super modern, spacious, and the comfortability of the room and bed gave me the best sleep ever. The on site Garden Grille restaurant staff and food also exceeded my expectations (see images)!
