I would never stay anywhere else in Kalamazoo. We stayed in a 3rd floor room with King bed and fireplace on a snowy weekend. Steve and Steph were delightful hosts, and breakfasts were delicious. Make sure to look at Steve's history of the house. He also gave us good tips about

This was my first stay at a B&B, as I typically choose traditional hotels when traveling for work. However, when the conference hotel was sold out, the Kalamazoo House appeared in searches as a nearby option. From the photos online, I was already charmed by the place. Everything

My wife and I stayed overnight for a couples retreat, couples massage and dinner in the downtown. We felt like royalty staying in this house. The house is immaculately clean ams maintained and everything is explicitly spelled out with detailed directions. The house is kept in

The Kalamazoo House is quite simply one of the best B&B properties that you'll ever experience. They say a business starts with the people, and in this case it couldn't be any better. Steve is fantastic in every respect. His commitment to quality and attention to detail is

We stayed here for my birthday and it was AMAZING! Our room had a view of the art museum next door and the park down the street that was lit up for the holiday. Steve and Steph worked with my partner to surprise me with flowers in my room and made it a truly magical experience.

The Kalamazoo House has an eclectic and awesome history in Kalamazoo, and the Donovan family (some of whom recently visited) and their funeral home operations during the middle part of 20th Century are a great part of that story; it's noted on our history page on the web site. That history is also being included in a new and more extensive handout that history-minded guests and visitors will have on hand. Still, while it's not uncommon for us to share a detailed house's history for those who ask or express interest beyond basics (# of rooms and year built, and by whom)--and Garrett may have done so in this case--most commonly our check-ins tours are guest-focused on the present: orientations on locations of amenities, accoutrements, ingress/egress, area attractions, and the nuances of various breweries and restaurants. Not totally sure if you meant to be specific to that check-in, but hope that gives you what you needed.

Is the Kalamazoo House B&B pet friendly?
Thanks for asking. Sadly, and although we have two dogs and are dog lovers ourselves (our apartment is detached, over the carriage house), the B&B is a pet-free environment. It has been for so long that many guests with allergies and sensitivities count it remaining so. Again, thanks for checking, and we'd love to have you stay if there is an alternative workaround for you. Cheers.
