Top notch location and service. Breakfast options are very good and hotel is clean. Walking distance to local breweries and Ribfest. Quiet location that allows you to relax on the front porch without constant traffic going by.
Jeff and Amy are the best hosts at this beautiful home. Breakfast is delicious, a sweet treat waiting for you in the evening, and two porches to sit and relax on. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. Games and DVDs to use if you like. Liked the Kerouag machines, and the frig stocked with sodas and the ice machine This is a lovely area where you can walk to anything you like. The Institute of arts is right next door, a nice park and the Saugatuck brewery around the corner.
Ya'll. I am the 21 year old who enjoys practicing stillness with her kitty and her books and in the midst of my busy body lifestyle this is all I wanted to do. I book the Kzoo House as my home away from home with my bestie. Let me tell you it was just THAT. We came in to fresh bakes cookies and a cute bday message for me. The most lovely walk around to the top floor where our room was. I am currently make space in my calendar for my next VISIT!!! We slept so beautifully and comfortably. Our spaces were so clean and tidy. The morning before check out we had the most amazing conversations with both owners and thei rlives and experiences. We shared so many laughs and stories! That made my experience ALL THE MORE amazing. They are the most precious humans and deserve all the success in their business. Thank you for adding value to my day and memory bank!!!…
My wife and I spent a Friday night in the Kalamazoo house (Holland Room). Parking and Check-In was easy. We were greeted by the Asst manager and shown around the main areas of the house. Our room was spotless and exactly as described online. Kalamazoo House is downtown and close to lots of fun stuff. Breakfast was good and the coffee was flowing. We will definitely stay again when in town for the breweries and music.
Loved the B&B! Lovely interior, friendly innkeepers with a wonderful house dog, yummy chocolate chip cookies, very accommodating about packing us a Great bag breakfast (the yougurt parfait was yummy) for an early departure. Sheets are awesome-will need to buy a set. Recommendation for dinner spot on and worked out well with pre-purchased Air-zoo tickets by inn. Will be back!
Kalamazoo House was perfect for our week-long stay in Kalamazoo. We were there to help our son and daughter-in-law pack for a move to Montreal. It was wonderful to come back to Kalamazoo house after a day of cleaning, disassembling, wrapping and packing a household full of belongings and find a nice dessert treat waiting for us, and a comfortable, quiet room. The gourmet breakfasts gave us plenty of fuel to start each new workday. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to hang out with Snowy, the house dog!
Lovely Bed and Breakfast. The house is decorated in Victorian Style as are the bedrooms. The breakfasts are delicious. The hosts, Amy and Jeff are a delightful couple. We stayed here two nights while visiting the Gilmour Car Museum in nearby Hickory Corners and it was wonderful weekend.
We were impressed with the food and set-up of this B&B. The hosts, Amy & Jeff, were friendly and quick to answer any questions we had both before and during our stay. We were there to ride bikes on the local trails and to celebrate our anniversary. The room (number 3 Lansing Room) was very nice. We were away from the road noise and alone in a corner so it was private. The only sound we could hear was the stairs and side door, but nothing during the night. The shower was good, it took a little while to get hot water, but nothing we couldn't deal with. The main floor had a 24 hour coffee station, fridge, microwave and water cooler. Each evening they had a snack specifically for us (on a plate wrapped in saran). It was a nice treat! It is close enough to downtown that we walked to dinner - Principle (excellent). The parking area is small behind the B&B, but there is plenty of space across the street. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back when in the area!…
First visit to the Kalamazoo House since covid struck in March 2020. Wondered what it would be like under new ownership. It was great. Excellent hosts, comfortable and clean room and superb breakfast. We'll be back.
Our two-day getaway began with a visit to the Gilmore Car Museum where my husband enjoyed a Model-T driving lesson. Kalamazoo house is just under a 30-minute drive from the museum and was a perfect destination after the lesson. Our room was comfortable and clean, the bed and linens sumptuous, and we even had a great view of a Chihuly glass sculpture in the KIA next door! The towels were plentiful and the two-person jetted tub was very relaxing! The annual Fine Arts Fair was taking place only a block away, and we enjoyed strolling the booths and listening to music, with the luxury of easily returning to our room whenever we wanted a break. The house is beautifully appointed, nicely landscaped, and is a lovely place for a romantic getaway. The two course breakfast each morning was delicious, with a seasonal fruit course and a savory or sweet entree. Coffee, water and soda are available 24/7, and a fresh sweet treat is waiting for you each evening. Amy and Jeff are great hosts - helpful, friendly, and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Kalamazoo house whenever we are in town!…
