My wife and I came to K'zoo for an early Valentine's Day celebration and we were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful night under Shelly's care at Festive West. It is a gorgeous old home, but with great amenities like cable TV, WiFi, and a huge walk-in shower. Our room was very comfortable and her customized breakfast was amazing! The turn down service was very thoughtful, and everything fit the Valentine's theme. Shelly thinks of everything, and it is obvious that serving others is a huge part of her character. You won't be disappointed if you book a room!

One of my New Year resolutions was to chase away the winter doldrums by getting away and doing something special for myself. I had plans to meet friends in Kalamazoo for dinner at Zazios’ Chef Table which in itself is a fun event but I decided to book a room and spend the night at Festive West Bed and Break-fest to really make the weekend my own. Two words describe my stay: utterly delightful! From the moment Shelly met me at the iron gate to the time I left the next morning after a delicious breakfast and fabulous conversation with Shelly and her intelligent and kind husband, Fred, I felt pampered, relaxed and so very comfortable. The house is beautifully appointed in Victorian decor. There are too many lovely details to a mention but the house is so warm and welcoming and the fireplace and grand stairway make you feel both comfy and grand at the same time. The turndown service and special treats were lovely and the breakfast of a Dutch pancake, eggs and yogurt parfait was splendid. The room was beautiful and the bathroom spacious with a shower with the most gorgeous glass and ceramic tile. It’s a wonderful mix between times gone by and modern conveniences including good parking and wifi. Shelly and Frank are so friendly but respectful of your space too. I recommend Festive West highly and I have already booked again. Can’t wait!

I brought my new fiancé to Kalamazoo, the town I grew up in, hoping to make a good impression. Staying at the Festive West was the best decision I could have possibly made! Shelly and her husband were excellent hosts, the house was beautiful and immaculate, and the food was so delicious we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!

We haven't stayed in a B&B in a while, but after looking at reviews and prices of local hotels, we decided to stay here. Best choice. Shelly was wonderful and customized our stay to our preferences. The house is big and beautiful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were welcomed at check-in by a warm fireplace and refreshments. We had a giant wood 4 post bed, complete with turn-down service and a lovely midnight snack. In the morning, we walked the historic Stewart neighborhood and enjoyed the other homes in the area. I would highly recommend staying at Festive West. There were so many nice touches, too many to list.

Thank you so much for this glowing review- it's as warm as our fireplace on a cold night! We love our historic home/inn, it's our pride and joy, and we love sharing it with folks like you. The historic neighborhood surrounding our inn is a definite plus with all the beautiful old homes we sit among- it makes for a nice walk after a big breakfast! We thank you for your business and your review, and please know you are always welcome at Festive West Bed & BreakFest - holiday season or "anytime season!" Best and kind regards, Shelly - Innkeeper
