We loved staying here for three nights. We stayed in cabin #2, one of the smallest, but we had lots of room. All cabins are located right on the river with a lovely view. Our kitchen was small, but efficient. We had everything we needed. The bathroom was small, but worked fine for us. The bathroom had a shower, no tub and nice towels (which I appreciated). There was a large living room at the front of the cabin (looking out onto the river) with two beds at one end. The other end had a sofa, table and chairs, and TV. There was plenty of room and free wi-fi. There was a covered porch, picnic table, outdoor seating, and grill. Everything you needed to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful scenery. The resort offered boat and motor rentals for $60 a day and one day we boated down the river (didn't catch any fish). The boat ride was beautiful, as the fall colors were spectacular. The resort has a laundry room, central campfire area with seating, and a playground. Some other reviews say the owners are hard to reach. Visitors need to remember that the tourist season in this area is very short and most owners need to have some other employment to support themselves through the long winter. When we needed something we sent a text to the owners and they would call or text back. They were very nice and handled all our needs. The maintenance people helped us with the boat and gave us tips on where to go. We loved the location and the cabin we rented and would happily return.

Stayed for a week in cabin #7 with my husband and it was a great stay. We loved everything about the cabin, it was the perfect size for 2 people. The decor all gave a Northwoods feel, very cozy. We enjoyed the screened in porch; eating every meal out on the porch, even in the rain, because it was covered on top. The full furnished kitchen was nice also, however we did bring alot of our own things, since my husband's a chef. We didn't want to be without anything, so we probably over prepared with all we brought, but we did end up using alot of our own stuff. We always had enough hot water for showers and dishes. No plumbing issues. The room was clean upon arrival. Even though there was no AC, the fans provided (and open windows) did a wonderful job at keeping the cabin cool. We enjoyed the cable and free WiFi provided, even though a storm knocked out the cable on our last night there, we rented a DVD from the local Redbox for entertainment. (The resort does have free DVD's available also as an option). We also did some firepits at night as it got a bit cool in the later hours of the day. It's a small resort, which we liked....neighboring vacationers in the other cabins were friendly also and we visited with some daily. It was a quiet resort also...no loud parties or obnoxious behaviors. Everyone was respectful of one another, which was appreciated. There are lots of things to do in the area; state parks, river rafting, biking, ATV, hiking/walking trails, museums....if you love the outdoors, Iron Mountain and this resort is for you!

So I chose these cabins because of the reviews and I feel like I was misleaded or the reviews were possibly for previousowners. Let me start out by saying I enjoy camping and I know I rented a small cabin on the river. At first sight the cabins are cute, the bathroom and bed rooms are very small. The sheets were clean and smelled of fabric softener but the other blankets provided were very odd. One was made of what felt like a spongy material and the other reminded me of a polyester nylon blanket I would find in a nursing home, I didn't want those blankets touching my skin as they gave me the creeps. The bedrooms both had a small double bed that took up 80% of the room you had to walk sideways to move around the room. This did not bother me it's just for reference. The kitchens are supposed to be fully equipped. We had dish soap but no sponge or hand towels. My sister's cabin had a sponge but no dish soap, 3 small bowls and 2 spoons yet the cabin was a 5 person cabin. Numerous trips to the office but never anyone around to ask questions to or to ask for new towels or extra garbage bags so I purchased sponges , garbage bags and two hand towels. We considered renting a boat but again never anyone around to ask. The bathroom has a stand up shower and plenty of hot water for our family of four. I found the hand towel for the bathroom tied around the shower head as it leaks like crazy. The toilet moves up and down when you sit on it and they used brown caulk around the bottom of the toilet so it looks like someone smeared poop all around the bottom of the toilet. The sink is not attached to the wall and if you lean on it at all it will leave the wall and end up in your hands. The pipes are also not attached and the sink leaks when you use it so we brushed our teeth in the kitchen as to not have a wet bathroom floor. Clearly a professional plumber or maintenance person is needed. There isn't any air conditioning in the cabins but ours had large windows so the fans made a difference my sister's cabin had very small windows and stayed very hot. The cabins are cute and have potential but I don't feel management is taking care of their property properly and I wouldn't recommend staying more than a couple nights which is unfortunate because there is so much to do in the area.

We took a family trip here and loved every minute of it! Very nice and cozy cabin! The owners were extremely nice, and the view of the river was very beautiful and relaxing. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a lite tight, but it was nice having one there with a toilet, sink and shower. Nice bbq grill in the back with a cozy porch, and a nice table and chairs. My daughter enjoyed seeing the chickens, ducks, chipmunk and even the owners dog. Overall it's a nice place to go to relax and get away, and there are some really nice falls and parks not far from there. We will definitely be back! I would love to enjoy the scenery during the fall season.

Our family had two cabins for a week. The new owners, Dan & Carly were very accommodating. The cabins were clean, the surroundings were great as expected. Dan was friendly and offered assistance should we need anything. They now have WiFi in all cabins and throughout the resort which is a nice change! We always enjoy our stay and we were a bit worried since the resort had been sold. Fear not, the new owners are doing a great job with it!
