We stayed 4 nights at the Interlochen Motel over a busy holiday week. Though the walls are reported to be paper thin, we didn't notice any more noise than if we had been staying at a chain hotel. A lovely yard sits in front of this one-story little inn, with a patio to the North where we ate our breakfasts.... More

I stayed 3 nights at the Interlochen Motel during a recent fishing trip to Northern Michigan. This is without a doubt the cleanest motel that I have stayed in. Not only did it look clean but it smelled clean! It was so nice to have a nice clean room to return to each evening. Slept like a baby!! And the... More

I have been staying at the Interlochen Motel and have been telling my Interlochen camp & Academy families to stay there for the past 8 years. I have not stayed at this motel in 2 years and I do not know what has happen but it is not good. I emailed them on there own web page and they never... More

This motel is old and tired. The walls are paper thin. The man staying in the room next to ours left at 4:30 am and left his alarm on snooze. It was like it was goin off in our room. I went to the office it was closed, I called the office, no one answered. We went and slept in... More

We stayed two nights in October. The staff was very friends and recommended a couple of places nearby to eat. Overall it was okay if you just want a cheap place to crash. It was chilly when we checked in, so we turned on the heat. It must have been the first time it was on because it smelled really... More

We stayed at Interlochen Motel for five nights. It was wonderful. The room was clean and made up daily. My test for a clean room is to walk around in white socks. It passed the test. It is clean and quaint and quiet. It harkens back to simpler days. We've stayed in five star hotels all over the US and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while in the Traverse City area. We booked a single room. The room was basic-queen size bed, fridge & microwave. Our room was very clean. While they did provide soap, there was no shampoo-so bring your own. The only issue we had was the shower. Difficult to regulate the water temp and the water... More

We rented the two bedroom suite for an evening while in the Traverse City area. Upon entering the suite we were blown away by how clean this place looked and smelled - I'm talking absolutely immaculate. The suite included a full size fridge and microwave as well as kitchen sink and cabinets fully stocked with plates, glasses and utensils. We... More

We recently returned from our 6th or 7th stay at the Interlochen Motel. We visit Traverse City for the film festival every summer, and have also stayed in the off season, just because we enjoy this area so much. If you're looking for a chain hotel with all the amenities, this isn't it. If you like old-fashioned charm, a quiet... More

This motel is old, dirty carpets, dirty bedspreads and what ever they use to clean smelled so strong it was toxic......I will never stay here again. Thankfully it was only one night. The strong odour made it difficult to breath, really effected my asthma. Do not stay here!!!!! Not even if you're desperate!
