The Pines Cottages are conveniently located on the Indian River across from the Inn Between in the heart of all of the action ! The five cottages have two bedrooms each and the large house has six bedrooms. The Tiki bar has two televisions outdoors right on the river . Dockside parking is available for your boat near the Tiki bar and fire pit . The house has its own private propane fire pit with comfortable furniture on the deck and also a propane grill ! The bike trail connecting to Mackinac City is right outside your window ! A large grocery store is less than a mile away as well as a good party store. The Cross in the Woods is nearby too. A short boat ride on the river will take you to either Mullet Lake or Burt Lake . The Pines Cottages are so much fun that we made a reservation to return next summer ! See ya there !

We stayed two nights so we could travel the rivers to see the fall colors. We found cottages to be spotless and very smartly decorated. Nice amenities including tiki bar with stereo that we enjoyed during evening after boating for the day. Ladder ball was also available. Overall would highly recommend the Pine Cottages in coming to Indian River.

We recently stayed at the Pines with another couple for a short get away. Debbie & John were great hosts and we will definitely be back for another stay. Nothing fancy, but extraordinarily clean. Only input is that we were there during a very hot weather streak and the AC units were undersized for the cottage. Usually not a big deal in northern Michigan however having asthma, sometimes it's necessary to duck the heat for a bit.

Our group of boaters could not have been happier with our accommodation and hospitality that John and Debbie showed their guests. Well appointed cabins and Tiki bar on the river for renters and also walking distance to downtown. Planning a return trip soon.

We stayed at the house with our (grown) kids and their families. It is a wonderful, roomy place and everyone was pleased with the cleanliness of it, and with the updated kitchen, bathrooms, etc. A huge plus is that the location could not be better -- all the boats float right down from the deck a little ways, and a docking space comes with the house to leave our rented float boat. The only thing I would want to tell you to be sure and notice is that there is a $500 deposit for the house that is NON-REFUNDABLE from the minute you send it. And in order to secure the house, you have to reserve it many months ahead (if not a full year for some weeks). That's a long ways off to be able to guarantee nothing will come up with any of your family members (or yourself) that would necessitate a change of date between ow and then. So you are stuck losing $500 if your plans fall through. Even if it were refundable up to 2 months out, or a more reasonable time line like that, it would be worth the risk. We wanted to rent it for this summer, but even if we had we booked as early as January, the $500 was still completely non-refundable had we needed to cancel for some unavoidable reason. However, if that issue is no problem for your situation, definitely stay here -- again, the location cannot be beat! (The date we stayed was not July 2015, but the drop-down menu didn't give me the option of a 2014 date).
