No amenities here. Beds are OK. Walls are thin. But place was clean and warm. Definitely not the first choice of places to stay next time, but it served its purpose for a couple nights. Definitely need to continue remodel and upgrades. I will keep an eye on the place to see what they do with it.

In May I reserved what appeared to be the last room available at that time at the Downtowner Motel I know I had the correct date bc I talked to the lady about how everything was full that weekend because it was Freshman move in day at Michigan Tech When we arrived yesterday to check in we didn't have a...

Had a night booked for move in date for MTU. (Scheduled late as having freshman and not knowing what to expect.) Arrived late and was told that we had "booked" for the following week. Really? Why were we told we had the last room available? Double and triple checked our schedules, and no, we had it booked for that night!...

Office being remodeled - had to walk next door to lounge in rain to register. No frig. No microwave. No in-room or in-office coffee. No breakfast. Poor parking. BUT a room was available when everything else was booked. One lamp in room. Small bathroom. Seems clean enough.

Our room had a nice bed, a new bathroom and an excellent bar and restaurant two doors down that is associated with the place. There is a nice rooftop area overlooking the bridge and water. The only drawbacks were no wifi, tv didn't work and no frig or microwave but the price is right if you can get by without...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a road trip. We rolled into town and picked this hotel because of it's location. It has an awesome view of the river and you can walk to a lot of the local establishments. We walked right down the street to an excellent pizza establishment. First of all, the room we...

Called Jan 25,2014 to reserve a room for Winter Carnival. Googled the number (906-482-4421) & operator said the number has changed. Called the new number (906-482-0733) and the lady said they are a motel, but they are no longer in business.

This motel is older, but it is in a great area and it is clean. If you need the most modern facility with everything perfect, it may not be the hotel for you. It is however, quite clean and in a great location. The owners were also very friendly and personable. The price we paid made it a good value...

My family has stayed here many, many times for winter carnival, and while it's certainly not up to the standards of a chain hotel, it has a certain charm. We usually stay in the bigger rooms that can't be seen from the main road, and they kind of feel like you're staying at Grandma's. The rooms have always been clean...

At the last minute on graduation weekend we had to book rooms here sight unseen for $108 per room per night. We thought we were coming to pick up our son, but turned out he got a summer internship instead. So pick-up turned into visit. First of all I am not a snob, we usually stay at the Travel lodge...
