Detailed Reviews
After months of stress, my granddaughter and I spent a long weekend. We visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, The Tunnel of Trees, Petosky, and Frankfurt, all an easy drive from Honor.. Colors of autumn were beautiful, temps very comfortable. Michigan has a lot to offer and I am glad we chose to vacation close to home, enjoying outdoors. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Enjoyed sitting with other guests under a starry sky with a bonfire. TV and wi-fi worked well. I hope to return again and will definitely try to book Cabin #2.

We stayed here with some friends and our kids recently and loved it. The cabins were very clean. The way they are laid out also felt very private. The grounds were really fun for the kids to play on. The location is great too if you are visiting the dunes or even Traverse. I would definitely recommend this place.

+1
When we made our reservation, the owner, Debbie, was very helpful in making sure we had the right accomidations for our group. When we arrived our keys were waiting for us in the box and we didnt even have to officially check in until later. You dont find hospitality like that just anywhere. The cabins were adorable and so clean, (even under the bed), as I checked! The kids gave a sigh of relief when they hooked up to the wi-fi and saw the flat screan tv's.There is a family game building stocked with fun things for the kids, outdoor games and a bonfire with wood for roasting hotdogs and s"mores. We had so much fun and Deb was so helpful suggesting where to eat, what there was to do in the area such as the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pt. Betsie Lighthouse, hiking and canoeing and tubing and even where the fish were biting! Debbie is truly the perfect host and we cant wait to return to Cedar Ridge Cabins again next year. Thank you Debbie for an amazing vacation wih your warm hospitality and friendly smile.

We have spent 3 nights at Cedar Ridge to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes area with some friends.
The place is very well located to visit the national park and the wine cellars of the area.
The cabins are comfortable enough for 4, however there's barely place inside for having meals, so it'd better be good weather.
Equipment is very nice, everything is available including bbq and a nice fire pit.
WiFi Internet is also available.
The only hic is the layout of the cabins, very near the road hence not really quite and potentially dangerous with kids; they'd better play in the back with all the nice games that are provided.

Our family of 4 recently stayed here at Cedar Ridge Cabins and we were very pleased! The cabins were adorable; even better than expected. When we mentioned we would be arriving late, the owner, Deb, was sure to have keys waiting for us. The cabin included everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, coffee pot, etc. We even had Wi-Fi. Above all, the cabins were very clean. We enjoyed playing badminton on the grounds and roasting hot dogs and making s'mores around the campfire. The game room has a tv with movies (in addition to the tv in the cabin), and other games, puzzles, etc. Deb was also very helpful in suggesting great places to eat and visit nearby. There is plenty to do within a half hour drive, such as Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking and horseback riding. The cabins were well worth the price and I would definitely recommend staying here. I hope we have an opportunity to return here again!

A perfect little haven for exploring the area...the cabins are authentically vintage with comfy beds and clean updated bathrooms. Complimentary in-room wi-fi is a nice bonus. Beautiful back yard for badminton, horseshoes, campfires and stargazing.

We had reservations for the 22 and the 23 to check out on the morning of the 24th Deb the owner had us down for the 22 23 and 24 to check out on the 25 charging us for all three days, however that is not what we booked when we realized on envelope she gave us with our keys that she charged us a x day we left her a note, because she was not available all weekend to talk to, the office was closed. She did not call us so I called her Monday to ask her when she would be refunding my cc she called us and left a nasty vm stating she would not refund us, there is no refunds and call me cc or do whatever I had too, she never gave us paper work she simply told us to get the evelope from the office she could not stop cutting the grass to greet us, she only kept cutting the grass. After the nasty voicemail she left me I called my cc and will have to dispute the charge, for the x day, it was her mistake not mine wh should I have to pay for it and for her to be so nasty, she is the owner and should treat people nicer. Good to know my cc company has taken care of this, a ral business owner would have taken care of it and not had to take it so far as to have us contact our cc. She also has it so you can not get fresh towels daily and no one comes in to clean daily. The cabin was clean, however her cutomer service was terrible.

Response from Deborah1999, Owner at Cedar Ridge Cabins
Responded Aug 29, 2014
The reservation was made by your husband. He booked three days. I explained to him at the time of booking that we did not have a cancellation policy. He was ok with that. When you called and asked to cancel I explained to you that we would try to rebook it, and if we could we would refund your money, but if we could not it would be your responsibility, you yelled at me and said: then never mind, and hung up on me. 99 and 44/100 of my customers are very happy. I am sorry this has happened.

Clean, simple, good value, w modern amenities. Very pleasant grassy area, picnic tables at each cabin. Nice (clean) bathroom with good quality “products” like soap and shower gel. Overall small and traditional rooms, nothing fancy, but just doing the basics right. Felt like an excellent resting spot. No kitchen facilities but small fridge, coffee maker and Corkscrew. Heater worked well. Only gave it 4 stars because these are humble little cabins rather than some grand resort.

Due to a situation beyond their control we were unable to stay at the Cedar Ridge Cabins but Rob was wonderful and provided us with great customer service including providing us with options for alternate lodging.

This is a great place to stay: neat, clean, comfortable, and easy to check in and out of thanks to the owner/manager. The wifi is real good and it is near places where we canoed/kayaked, relaxed and ate out and and at the cabin site.

We’re sorry we do not allow pets.
Hi Laura
No we've never had bedbugs. We're always on the lookout, though, and know what we're looking for (I'm a retired biology teacher). Bugs in general aren't much of a problem and the mosquitos are usually kept at bay by the steady breeze off the lake.
Hi Louise
We still have cabins available for those dates. Our deluxe cabins have a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and cookware. There are also BBQ grills available. The cost is $114 /night after a $10 per night discount since you'd be staying 3 or more nights. Please call 231-325-2200 if you have any more questions or visit cedarridgeupnorth.con for pictures and more info.
