We stayed in the Terrace suite for two nights and it was just perfect. I look for several things in a hotel - good size room, extremely clean, quiet, coffee maker in the room and a good shower. This place had all of that, plus it was extremely well decorated and well located. We had no trouble finding it. The four digit code to get in was sent to us via text the day of our check in. In the room was a list of nearby restaurants to go to and places that would deliver. We were able to easily walk to a brewpub and a breakfast place. The town itself is charming too. I would recommend this over any chain hotel.
This shop has the best atmosphere! From the moment you walk in there is just so much to take in. The fantastic staff will make fresh press pots of coffee. You can either have the coffee to go or go out to the "Secert Garden" area in the back of the store. My family and I went in there to find a wedding gift. And there were so many suggestions given. Once we settled on what to get for the gift, it was then beautifully wrapped! When we go back to Hastings we will be making a stop back in have another amazing press pots of coffee.
We checked out the suites the last time we were in Hastings, and were shocked to see a beautiful well appointed room. Much nicer than anything you would find in almost any hotel. We booked the "LOFT" for our two day stay. Very comfortable Queen bed, seating area with a couch and chair...also Directv and kitchenette. We have been to Hastings numerous times and found that the Alfresco Boutique was an unexpected find. First quality merchandise, wine, and much more. Restaurants are mostly within short walking distance. The cost for all this is a few dollars more that the national chains.
We were in Hastings for the Barry-Roubaix bike race. The town was filled with cyclists. AlFresco Suites was our lovely retreat just a block from the start/finish line. While the town may not be "stylish or luxurious" our Loft Suite certainly was. This was just about our idea of a perfect weekend. When we were offered the opportunity to reserve the room for race weekend next year, we took it. We're already looking forward to it! The suite is best probably best used for short romantic retreats. A small closet is in the room but otherwise there's no place for suitcases or clothing. Our only suggestions for improvement would be, softer toilet paper.
I had the 1 bedroom room called the Nest. I arrived after 9:30 pm so no one was there, but the host contacted me by phone & text. The room was clean & the room decoration was charming. The bathroom was clean & spacious, but the shower was on the smaller side - the shower curtain touched me a few times during a shower. There's a small kitchen area in the bedroom with a sink, frig & microwave. There's no chair in the room, just a small bench in front of the bed. The AC was fine, but the air blows right down on you - i'd recommend installing a deflector. The 2nd night i could hear people next door talking, but the room AC drowned them out. The coffee was great, but you have to brew it yourself. You have to park down the street (all day city parking lot) & walk up a full flight of stairs. There's lots of restaurants in the area and & few are open for breakfast. I'm not sure I'd stay again on business, but definitely for pleasure.…
