The room I stayed in was lovely in terms of comfort and it was extremely clean. Check in and access was made very easy. I was there for a Fri/Sat/Sun stay. Fri and Sat nights made me think I was staying at a sorority house at University of Michigan. Noisy, noisy guests until 0300 both nights. Slamming doors, drinking, yelling...... Saturday night was made much worse by an outdoor concert that was held right across the street. Shame on me for not checking the local events calendar and looking at addresses more closely. The Hastings Chamber of Commerce has event listings on their website and it's worth checking that. My room faced the street and the curtains are not blackout - the very bright street lights are very illuminating in the middle of the night. If you need/desire darkness to sleep ask for a room not facing the street. Parking is in a public municipal lot and my rental car and the car of one of my business colleagues got keyed on Friday night. Sunday night was very quiet. Something else to consider when booking a room here is internet access. My room was marginal at best and I had a hard time getting my work done efficiently. Ask for room with the best internet router connection if you are there to do business. I wish I could leave a better review - the room itself was wonderful.

A pleasant surprise located over a fantastic boutique. Only comment would be two flights of stairs, worth the hike. Not much happening in Hastings but it is centrally located to lakes and nature trails.

I just wanted to say “If you’re looking for the diamond in the rough, I’ve found it!” My husband & I stayed at the Alfresco Suites in the heart of Hastings, Michigan. This adorable boutique hotel is really special! From the fabulous Customer Service from Terri, Angela & Philip as you’re warmly welcomed to this gem to the gorgeous spacious suites with impeccable decor it’s as if you’ve traveled somewhere to...as they say... Unexpected Luxury! We stayed in the Terrace Suite & it was simply beautiful! The furnishings & accessories were reminiscent of a beautiful French Cottage. The spacious Sitting Room with a Fireplace, TV & Desk included comfortable furnishings adjacent to the most comfortable Queen size bed that felt like a cloud! The exquisite linens were a perfect way to drift off to dreamland. The Suite also included a lovely dining area complete with microwave, sink, mini frig, coffeemaker & a basket of delicious coffees, tea, hot cocoa & instant oatmeal. The china & crystal were so pretty & the atmosphere of the chandeliers added to the charm. The bathroom had its own chandelier, rainhead shower, soft fluffy towels & complimentary bath products by Zents. The Suites are on the 2nd Floor above the most fabulous shop that had so many unique items & gifts, not to mention a nice selection of delectable wines! The more you look through this shop, the more you see! Be sure to allow yourself time to browse! You’ll find so many interesting things! Our stay here was short but sweet & I can’t wait to return again next year! A very special Thank You to Terri, Angela & Philip for such a wonderful experience! I felt like Royalty!!! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We stayed in the Terrace suite for two nights and it was just perfect. I look for several things in a hotel - good size room, extremely clean, quiet, coffee maker in the room and a good shower. This place had all of that, plus it was extremely well decorated and well located. We had no trouble finding it. The four digit code to get in was sent to us via text the day of our check in. In the room was a list of nearby restaurants to go to and places that would deliver. We were able to easily walk to a brewpub and a breakfast place. The town itself is charming too. I would recommend this over any chain hotel.

This shop has the best atmosphere! From the moment you walk in there is just so much to take in. The fantastic staff will make fresh press pots of coffee. You can either have the coffee to go or go out to the "Secert Garden" area in the back of the store. My family and I went in there to find a wedding gift. And there were so many suggestions given. Once we settled on what to get for the gift, it was then beautifully wrapped! When we go back to Hastings we will be making a stop back in have another amazing press pots of coffee.

We checked out the suites the last time we were in Hastings, and were shocked to see a beautiful well appointed room. Much nicer than anything you would find in almost any hotel. We booked the "LOFT" for our two day stay. Very comfortable Queen bed, seating area with a couch and chair...also Directv and kitchenette. We have been to Hastings numerous times and found that the Alfresco Boutique was an unexpected find. First quality merchandise, wine, and much more. Restaurants are mostly within short walking distance. The cost for all this is a few dollars more that the national chains.

We were in Hastings for the Barry-Roubaix bike race. The town was filled with cyclists. AlFresco Suites was our lovely retreat just a block from the start/finish line. While the town may not be "stylish or luxurious" our Loft Suite certainly was. This was just about our idea of a perfect weekend. When we were offered the opportunity to reserve the room for race weekend next year, we took it. We're already looking forward to it! The suite is best probably best used for short romantic retreats. A small closet is in the room but otherwise there's no place for suitcases or clothing. Our only suggestions for improvement would be, softer toilet paper.

Room Tip: The Loft Suite was stunning. It did pick up noise from the street and the room next door.

I had the 1 bedroom room called the Nest. I arrived after 9:30 pm so no one was there, but the host contacted me by phone & text. The room was clean & the room decoration was charming. The bathroom was clean & spacious, but the shower was on the smaller side - the shower curtain touched me a few times during a shower. There's a small kitchen area in the bedroom with a sink, frig & microwave. There's no chair in the room, just a small bench in front of the bed. The AC was fine, but the air blows right down on you - i'd recommend installing a deflector. The 2nd night i could hear people next door talking, but the room AC drowned them out. The coffee was great, but you have to brew it yourself. You have to park down the street (all day city parking lot) & walk up a full flight of stairs. There's lots of restaurants in the area and & few are open for breakfast. I'm not sure I'd stay again on business, but definitely for pleasure.

Beautiful, roomy, comfortable room. Only 4 rooms so the outside doors are locked with a code, the same code as your room. I would love to go back when I have more time. In walking distance to restaurants.
