We were visiting friends and this was the closest hotel so we took a chance. After reading some reviews I was very concerned about staying here. The lobby is old and dated and the 1/2 inch thick glass between the check in person and me didn't make me feel very confident. We got into our room and were very impressed.... More

Location, location and location was the sole factor for my choice of this hotel. The Parkcrest has been around since the 1960's and has served the Grosse Pointes as one of the only hotel/motel choices convenient to the city. A medical condition makes driving for me difficult and I do not feel comfortable in rental vehicles that I am not... More

Where to begin. First off, the room they had us check into was still being cleaned. Which is fine, if they were busy. They weren't. Tons of empty rooms so why have us wait for the room to be cleaned. Next, saying the room was "cleaned" it quite subjective, I suppose. I promise you, to any normal person...this is not... More

My family enjoyed our recent vacation. The bathroom was clean, which is always the first thing i check. The bed was clean as well, and the sheets didn't smell like bleach like all of the other hotels I have been to. It smelled really good and It was nice for the price. The room was advertised as stated with 2... More

We made a reservation over the weekend for the Parkcrest mostly because it is the only hotel in the vicinity. We were a family of three and there was only one towel. It's was small still like that, that was annoying. Since it is the only hotel in the vicinity it is extremely busy during the prom season and well... More

Do not stay here! Big southern roaches coming out of the tub drain. When I saw them I hopped up grabbed my things, shook them off and ran to the front desk! The man who I believe was the owner, acted like it wasnt a big deal! They took about a week to refund my money back to the account!

Disgusting accommodations, but nothing else in the area. Did not feel safe due to all night comings and goings. Would not consider using the shower. Heater makes huge noise and runs all night. Automatic "Air freshner" unit sprayed toxic chemical into unit all night.

Was here for a wedding - checked in, saw the room - CHECKED OUT! Toilets only took 3 flushes to complete the process. Shower had plenty of high school biology experiments growing. Called 3 times for a confirmation when making the reservation NEVER got the confirmation. But they had NO problem charging the CC for the night that I checked... More

There are not many places to stay in this area. The price was very moderate, the staff very polite and helpful. The room was clean and well kept, if a bit old. There was coffee in the office in the morning and some packaged sweet rolls. The one serious problem was the heater. Whenever it went on, the sound of... More
