We have returned for our 23rd annual ski week !We really enjoyed staying at the Heather Highlands condos!! One thing that has stayed consistent over all the years is the incredibly comfortable bedding, top quality sheets, and towels. And another thing I want to highlight is the exceptional housekeeping, staff and services. From one end of the resort to the other, everything is always impeccably cared for. Special shout out to Tina at the front desk who has always provided exceptional check-in, customer service, and very much appreciated guidance with selection of the unit that we get to enjoy here after year! She is very detailed oriented and very customer satisfaction oriented! A true asset to the Highlands organization! The only improvements we’d like to see is if the resort could finally get the renovation of the main lodge and dining facility completed, as well as please add a sauna feature to the Heather Highlands swimming pool complex!

We think Boyne has raised their game here with the level of service we received on this visit. From the beverages and cookies at the check in at the Discovery Center to the muffins to go at check out we felt well treated and sorta pampered. They asked us if we needed some help with luggage when we checked in and a very nice and personable young man, Ivan, was waiting for us when we pulled up to unload. It was they same when we had a cart to load up 3 days later as the young women shoveling snow stopped her job and helped us load up and took the cart for us. All the staff was very friendly and eager to help. The rooms have been very nicely redone and the baths and shower were super nice. We have stayed up here for over 30 years and can't wait to go back. It felt like a luxurious spot to celebrate our anniversary. The skiing was great and loved the outdoor fire pits. We enjoyed the omelet station and all the fresh fruit offers in the a.m. Robes and slippers are a nice touch too. lots of activities likes s'more cooking, family movie conference room and crafts for kids were offered but we did not take advantage of in the evening, too busy using giant hot tub and pool.

We stayed Sun-Thur for a business trip. It was my first time skiing and our first trip to MI. The newly renovated room in the main lodge had everything we needed - comfy bed, robes, great water pressure, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Skiing lessons were excellent. We had Kris for our beginners group and I can’t believe how much I learned in just a few days. We t was easy to ski in/out of the lodge, eat lunch or dinner and relax. The breakfast buffet was great and enough food we sometimes skipped lunch. The slopes were fun for me as a beginner and my husband who has much more experience. The food was really good - we loved having room service as an option and the food was prompt and hot! Everyone at the resort couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. It was such a relaxing, quiet, and safe little resort anyone could enjoy. My only wish would be to have more restaurant options for lunch/dinner but I suspect staffing/COVID was the limiting factor there. We’d recommend it and return.

This resort has incredible value- so impressed! An impeccable quality of service. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. We had Champagne and cookies provided to us upon arrival, the rooms were beautifully upgraded/ maintained, the skiing was challenging, and the hot tub area with poolside service was perfect. Food was consistently good in all of the restaurants we tried. Definitely will be back!

We had a waitress in the morning, named Terri who was honestly the best waitress I've ever had. She truly made our mornings better because of her attentiveness and energetic demeanor. She's one of the reasons we will be coming back.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and Slope side pub were awesome.
My only complaint would be the arcade. My kids played all of the games and if they won they still wouldn't get the prizes that they should have. For a young child, that was not fun and it was a general waste of money. Also, the card machine doesn't give change but also doesn't allow for two twenties. The options were 20 dollars, 30 dollars and 50 dollars, which was absurd. I put 40 dollars in thinking I would either get more points on the arcade card or it would spit out my second 20 and I would get two cards with 20 each on them. Nope.... I canceled the purchase AND it took all of my money. Very frustrating throwing 40 dollars away and still having to purchase again to get an arcade card.
Minus the arcade, we will be coming back hopefully very soon. It was a great experience and everyone working at the hotel and slopes were amazing. Thank you.

We stayed at the heather highlands part of this very large resort. The place is very time stamped from the 1990’s. It is primarily a ski/golf resort. It’s decor is Nordic / Scottish golf themed.
We communicated with the front desk staff prior to our checking via text. My advice is to call to triple check any upgrade arrangements.
Our room was very dated, but mostly functional. The Murphy bed mattress needs to be replaced. Springs came out of the pull out sofa. Great coffee pot, functional mini kitchen.
The pool at the heather highlands is dumb. It is situated right next to a giant air conditioner. The pool deck needs a power wash. The a/c does not allow for a peaceful swim at all. The they also do not provide towels. We used the pool at the main lodge which was much nicer and with a better view. Towels were provided at that pool.
This place is just OK. We saw almost no staff while we were around the resort. Not that we needed any, but it seems sparsely staffed.
The location is very peaceful and there are lots of walking trails and pretty views. We would have loved a ride on the ski lift, but it rained.
We didnt take advantage of any dining options on the property, so we can’t comment on those.

First off, people usually make or break a trip. In this case, the people, every staff member we met, were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being among them and trusted that they were happy we were there and that they would make sure we were happy. In addition, the accommodations were good - very comfortable bed, clean room, and everything worked. The food in every restaurant was excellent, especially the two in the Main Lodge building. Properly cooked, tasty, and artfully presented. Of course, the skiing was great. We had a blue skies and sunshine weekend, so it was beautiful to be there. Ski trails were very well groomed, and lift lines were quite short. Boyne Highlands is definitely on our list to repeat visit.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We went to the main dinning hall like 5 times during our stay the staff was very attentive. There was a minor issue with something that was out of their control but they immediately tried to make it right by giving us a discount. This is a very nice hotel they have multiple pools and fitness rooms. Great hotel for families.

This “resort”, if it can be called a resort anymore, is in terrible condition…even with the ongoing renovations. We were given one of the “remodeled” rooms on the ground floor in the back of the main lodge, that overlooked the construction staging area, and smelly drainage pond. Our room was dark (not enough lighting in the room…even with all the new/fancy automated lighting controls), damp, and the cement floor under the carpet was uneven. The beds were hard, and the shower door had such large gaps, that every morning the bathroom floor was flooded with water even after the briefest shower. The food at the resort restaurants is nothing special and overpriced. The dining rooms are dirty, and the carpets look like they have never been cleaned. The pool patio is stained black from mold and mildew. The pool and hot-tub were OK, but the pool rim/edge had large gaps and cracks in the cement; not safe. From the pool patio, the back of the main lodge looks like a haunted house. The climbing vine that grows on the lodge is unique, but half of it is dead, and at least half of the bushes and trees (landscaping) that surround the lodge are severely overgrown. Overgrown is not an aesthetic. There were leaks in the roof of the resort in at least 4 places that we noticed. The resort golf course that we played (The Moor) was very nice, and the course staff was friendly and helpful. The resort could be tolerable if only for one night, and if there just for golf. Definitely will not stay there again; do not recommend.

We were blown away by how nice our stay was while attending an onsite conference in July 2024. We were warmly greeted at check in and were able to get into our deluxe room on the 3rd floor a little early. The entire wing has been remodeled and we were so impressed on the tasteful design and rich look of all the materials used. The deluxe suite is a treat! There's plenty of space, a sitting area and an elegant bed , large TV, refrigerator, coffee and robes were all in perfect shape and super clean! Every employee we met was smiling and greeted us if we passed by. The grounds are wonderful too. I read some of the books in the room and the history of the resort and area is worth a read too. We ate at the Slopeside lounge on our last night and the drinks, soup and sandwich were excellent too. We look forward to another visit soon

Not sure. When we were There renovation was on hold due to insurance claim from a small fire in part of main building. Our room was fine. All else was good,
