They are currently remodeling so they know it has gotten a bit dated. It is a great layout. Trails, horseback riding, golf, skiing. I’m sure it will get recharged when they finish the remodel. For now ask for a place other than the main building.

We had to lug all of our things up 2 flights of stairs (no elevator). The "feel" in the hallway was very old and creepy and there was an extremely musty smell. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! When I called the front desk and complained, they said it was just the way the hotel was set up. They also said that since I booked through Expedia, it wasn't their problem. I will NEVER stay here again. What a terrible lodging!

Beautiful resort at the base of Boyne Highlands ski mtn. My daughter was married at the summit and reception at the golf country club. OUTSTANDING visit including the villa, the food and service at every turn! I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend and attention to every detail! THANK YOU!!!

On the plus side, the check-in staff was great and very helpful with dinner recommendations and other information. This hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. The construction crew was set up under our window and fairly loud at the end of the day. They started with the bathroom remodel that was on the other side of the wall from the headboard at 7:15 AM. At 9, when we left, it looked like they were preparing to rip up the carpet in the hall of our floor. Desk personnel at 7:30 were sympathetic but told me to wait for the desk manager. Desk manager was obnoxious. Basically told me that's what you get when you book through a third party (Expedia). Only thing I was offered was $20 towards our next stay.

We just stayed there for an early Fall golf trip. The hotel is under construction and we ended up in an adjacent building - Heather Highlands - it was the perfect place, with a large room and a very nice size balcony overlooking a pool. With all the great foliage it was really nice! Tina, one of the managers was absolutely excellent, making sure we were happy with our accommodations. High praise for her!
