Very nice place convenient to the lake, Harbor Springs and Petosky in a lovely setting. Perfect for families with kids as there are plenty of activities: horseback riding, zipline adventures, bonfires with free S'mores, movie night, mini golf, volleyball, tennis, etc. Our room at the Heather Highlands Inn, the Pleasantview Suite, was very clean and spacious with a separate bedroom,... A huge plus to Boyne Highlands is definitely the activities they have to offer on their property. Zip lines, mountain bikes, skiing, golfing, kayaking, tennis, swimming to name a few. You could easily spend one or two days just on the resort and not get bored. The location is scenic, and also just a short drive away from cities like... More

Heres the story: my friend is having her wedding on a Saturday at the resort. Most wedding guests are arriving that day and staying some place at the resort. Most guests are traveling at least 4 to 6 hours. The wedding is at 3pm. Check in time is 5. I called the guest service to explain the situation. The room... More

Great hotel for golf trip. Four championship courses on site with three others nearby. Rooms spacious, comfortable, and updated, most with a view of something-ski slopes, golf course, pool, pond, etc. Great breakfast buffet Multiple food venues at the hotel and golf courses. Food good and service excellent. Highly recommend this resort for a great golf trip.

The Moor Course at Boyne Highlands is a very beautiful course but watch out for the many dog legs. It's a short course for women with many doglegs, so long hitters beware. Greens were in very good shape as were tee boxes and fairways. Lots of tree, too.

Highlands is a serene, beautiful resort worth visiting! Rooms are comfy, and good value for golf or ski pkgs. Has a fabulous dinner theater in summer months, "Young Americans". Worth seeing! Fabulous entertainers! The restaurants are mediocre.

My husband and I saw the 'Young Americans' with another couple - it was a wonderful evening. The young men and women are multi talented - singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, etc. It's a very high energy show and good for families with younger children. It's a bit pricey ($52 per person) but definitely worth the price. They serve appetizers... More

This property is old but has been nicely renovated. Pool and hot tub, spa, golf and other outdoor activities. Rooms were well equipped with small fridge, flat screen TV, robes etc. Very nice but somewhat dark. Each room seems to have different window configurations. 10 minutes to downtown harbor springs...charming! Reasonable rates for the area which has few hotels.

Check in time is 3 p.m. Our family waited over two and a half hours, past 5:30, in the parking lot waiting for our room to get cleaned/ready. That's completely unacceptable! No apologies were made for this delay either. We have stayed here before and had a nice time, but this time the delayed check in made for an awful... More
