The Logan House property housing The Leonard B&B is a large & very attractive early 20th C home, and the proprietors make their guests feel right at home & fully fed for the entire stay. The common gathering areas on the entry-level floor are beautifully furnished & comfortable, and the beverage & snack area plus the large dining room are constantly stocked with tasty goodies. My wife & I stayed for 4 nights in the large Grand Duke suite on the 2nd floor, with a king bed & several seating options & plenty of clothing storage & a spacious ensuite with separate bathtub and shower stall. Morning breakfasts are presented buffet style, with an amazing number & variety of delicious homemade food options to choose from (even for the weekday "reduced" breakfast spread). The location on Logan Street is ideal for guest access to Downtown Grand Rapids attractions, and the historic area has lots of dining & refreshment options within walking distances or 5-minute drives (small local shops, too). We would definitely recommend staying with Ruth & Ken at The Leonard at Logan House.

Beautiful and historical house located in an area of Grand Rapids with large well maintained homes built in late 19th or early 20th century. Fully modernized for ultimate convenience and well supplied with all the items that make your stay seem special. A wide variety of snacks, drinks and homemade pastries are available throughout the day. The hosts are very friendly and the well apportioned kitchen is utilized to provide a robust breakfast.

This was our second time here in a couple of years. It was just as good as we remembered. Ken and Ruth are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fabulous and you won't need to eat until dinner! The room we had this time was Sir Charles. It was a nice size with it's own bathroom and shower. The sink is outside the bathroom with plenty of counter space. The King bed was firm but not too bad. The room has an air conditioner vent but also has standing fans which were needed since it's on the second floor and it was quite warm the two days we were there. The towels are fluffy and they freshen the room each day. There is a 24/7 coffee station which includes a mini fridge filled with many choices of beverages. There is always fruit, cookies, pastries and a variety of snacks available. The neighborhood is nice for walking. The bike trails are nearby. The area is quiet even with a main street nearby. This is one of our favorite places to stay!

We booked for this guest house on Booking.com and, despite the terms and conditions stating very clearly that we would be charged in the seven days prior to our stay in late July 2025, we were charged immediately and in the rum up to Christmas. This was a huge shock. Booking.com agreed that the money should not have been taken and asked them to repay. We waited a couple of weeks and nothing happened. My husband emailed them direct with a polite request for repayment. We waited another two weeks and nothing happened. Eventually we concluder after over a month of waiting that we had no choice other than to cancel as we no longer trusted them. We booked with an alternative place. The minute we cancelled they emailed and said they would repay which they have now done. In the meantime they had increased their prices. We were left wondering if this was all a ploy to force us to cancel? In any event their behaviour was far from courteous and certainly a bit suspect.

Absolutely delightful, tastefully appointed historical home to stay in Heritage Hill, very near downtown GR. Very affordably priced compared to other accommodations, especially given the lavish breakfast and very thoughtful amenities such as fresh fruit, baked snacks, coffee and soft drinks all day. Common areas are spacious and inviting. Beautiful garden area too enjoy outside, and wonderful hosts. Wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a place.

I spent three nights at the Leonard at Logan B&B for a short visit to Grand Rapids before heading north. I stayed in the Kings Keep room on the third floor – so lots of stairs, but very quiet. The room was spacious, as was the ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Wifi worked great. It was an easy drive from the Grand Rapids airport. The home is located in a residential, quiet area with other large and historic homes. The room and bathroom were clean. But what I liked most, was the hospitality and the delicious and substantial breakfasts. The large breakfast really kept me going throughout the day. Ruth was also lovely to send me with freshly-made muffins one morning, which I enjoyed for a late lunch. Additionally, there were snacks, sodas and coffee in the breakfast room, which guests were welcome to.

While I ventured out during the pandemic to do some travelling in Michigan, I felt covid-19 safe at the B&B. The common rooms were large and well ventilated, and thus easy to maintain a 6 foot distance, and there was a purifying air system to help, as well as I wore a mask. There are also tables outside in the garden area, for those who would rather have breakfast outside. Many thanks to Ruth and Ken for your warm and welcoming hospitality.

The room was great, the shower was huge, the bed was very comfortable. The 1st floor was completely open for guests with plenty of space to relax, play games, or read. Breakfast was outstanding with bakery goods, eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage. The $1,000,000 coffee maker did everything from espresso, to cappuccino and everything in between, I need one of those. The host couple showed us around the house, we’re very nice, and very informative. This place is a gem!

The accommodations were excellent! It’s nested in a beautiful historic neighborhood. I enjoyed walking each morning and evening. It is short walking distance to downtown shopping and nearby churches.
The staff were very friendly and helpful! They had a beautiful brunch when we were there and throughout the day there were baked goods and treats that were available along with many beverages to select!!!I would highly recommend staying here if visiting in Grand Rapids or nearby!

This was our second stay at the Leonard at Logan. It never disappoints. There is plenty of free on-street parking and the inn is located in the beautiful Heritage Hill historic district which is enjoyable to walk and drive through. The inn is in a grand 100+ year old home which is a treat in itself. We spent a few nights in the Sir Charles room which was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were delicious and among the best I've had at any bed and breakfast inn. The innkeepers are welcoming. The location is very convenient to downtown and a block away from Frank Lloyd Wright's Meyer May House. The Meyer May House is owned by Steelcase (office furniture company), excellently restored and available for free tours.

A beautiful house with a gracious host who is eager to show off the house and its history. Room was spacious. First floor with kitchen, living room (with grand piano and sheet music), dining room, and garden is open to guests. Historic neighborhood ( two Frank Lloyd Wright houses nearby).

Our apologies for not responding to this sooner. Bikes are totally welcome here at The Leonard at Logan House. While our neighborhood is VERY safe, we understand that sometimes it's important to keep bicycles indoors. We have a garage that you can wheel your bicycles indoors. Just be sure to give us a heads up so we can accommodate your access.
