the state of unclean started outside the door with their gardens full of weeds and the front door was dirty. My first room hadnt been vacuumed, every counter top was sticky and unwashed. toilet wasnt very clean. Immediately asked for a different room. wasnt much better. countertops stained, bed stand had sticky stuff spilt on it(i covered it with a towel for use), windows were dirty, room smelled, terrible cobwebs in the top of window shading so it couldnt be used, walls were dirty, didnt dare feel the carpet so i kept my shoes on. bed seemed to be clean however, comfortable and with 4 good pillows. head boards hadnt been dusted in quite a while, rug in the elevator was gross, the floor of the restaurant has very sticky and there were spider webs with giant spiders in them all over the windows along the river front side of the restaurant there!!! so gross!! wouldve taken somebody less than 10 minutes to walk along the sidewalk out there and sweep them off the windows so theyd be clean! AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR BREAKFAST! certainly NOT worth the $148 it cost me for the night!Plus an additional $50 refundable HOLD charge when you check in...so innitially this cost me $198!!! my riverside room had the worst view of a roof thru incredibly dirty windows. The pool area was pretty great however! salt water pool and 16 person hot tub are both amazing after a super difficult week and to relieve the nerves about having one dirty room and a second not all that clean either. for $50 more I couldve stayed right down town in a FANCY hotel!

Nice location on the river and only 2 miles from downtown. The rooms were clean and in good condition. Overall property is a little dated but still a good value for the money. Has a nice pool and hot tub

This hotel seems aged. Disappointing staff at the breakfast buffet just sitting around on their phones while we had to look for silverware and napkins. We had to wait to seat ourself. One of the employees could have told us to feel free to be seated. The food was very disappointing. The front desk clerks were wonderful. We did see one housekeeper and she looked like she was working very hard. Plenty of towels and shampoo. Wished they could bring the shuttle back. Stopped in the bar after our show and again, the staff, just sitting around on their phones. 1/2 hour til closing. The bartender gave us our cocktails in "to-go" plastic glasses as he was not going to wait for us to enjoy our cocktails. I've worked in hotel bars & restaurants before and NEVER have I EVER tried to leave before the customers were finished. The bar staff were very nice, but since it was raining very hard, we couldn't even take our cocktails to the outside seating area.

I have stayed here a few times(most recently in July 2022) and have been extremely satisfied with my stay each time. The hotel has a modern feel and is nicely decorated and well-maintained. I found staff to be very courteous and attentive and the rooms were spotless and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located only a few minutes from Downtown Grand Rapids and the hotel has a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river. I highly recommend staying here when choosing a hotel in the Grand Rapids area!

This hotel is in need of maintenance and cleaning. The pool area and nearby bathroom were dirty, the sink was totally clogged and filed with dirty water. We asked for a River view room but couldn’t see the River because the windows in our room were so dirty. There were stains on the sheets and couch. I found someone’s hair in the bed. FYI-The hotel smells like curry as there is a curry restaurant in the lobby. The toilet was loose and moved around whenever someone sat on it. I would not recommend staying here. Not worth price in my opinion.

Room was not clean! Trash under sink, hairs from previous guests still in bathroom and mold on side of toilet. Sheets had coffee like stains down the side and walls had stains as well. Heard a loud thumping all night, realized it’s the elevator, speaking if elevator it was very slow and outdated. The patio was nice except the busted beer bottles and trash laying around. They had games to play like cornhole and large Jenga but you had to find all the pieces scattered everywhere. Their website showed pictures of a dock but it was locked also the pool had access to the patio which was pretty nice except it had a padlock on the door. If you wanted to go onto patio from pool you have to walk through entire hotel. Pool was ok, pretty cold but outdated. Internet was very slow and the restaurant was ok.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Radison Friday July 8th - Sunday July 10th while we were in town for his brother's wedding. When we first checked in we didn't look too closely at the room because we were tired and went to bed not long after. In the morning on the 9th, I was already in the shower when I discovered that it had not been cleaned since the last guests that had stayed there. There was a used bar of soap and several long black hairs (I'm blonde and my boyfriend is a redhead) on the edge of the tub and on one of the walls. I quickly got out, dressed, and went right down to the lobby to file a complaint. I was told there wasn't much that could be done and offered the choices of switching rooms or having house keeping come in to clean it. Because moving rooms was a hassle I didn't want to deal with when we were only staying one more night, and my boyfriend was still sleeping, I declined both options and instead requested the supplies (a spray bottle of disinfectant and a wash towel) to clean it myself. I wish I had thought to take pictures before I had cleaned it up. The rest of the room looked clean but I had my doubts after the shower.

You have to agree to no housekeeping or just towel and garbage removal when you check in. We asked for garbage and towels, and on the last day got neither. No bed making done. I understand there is a shortage of workers, but you should provide at least daily basics to guests especially if you are still asking for the same daily rates!! Radisson used to have a decent reputation but obviously things have changed. Wouldn’t recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here years ago, it was great. We came back recently for a show at Van Andel Arena. The lobby looks great. The room and outside need updating. The room was pretty clean, except one of the night stands had a sticky, dirty area. The coffee pot had no coffee or cups. We took a quick Lyft ride to the show. The price for the room was ok, better than the high prices downtown. This place is good but really has potential to be better.

I can’t say I have checked out the other hotels in the area, but this one leaves a lot to be desired. Way overpriced for what you get. Old, and has been updated, but you can’t really tell. The staff is friendly, but the facilities detract from the staff.
