Our stay started off great with check-in and just continued to be great! The rooms were great. The staff was amazing. The manager (did not catch his name) who checked us in made the best recommendation for a Brewery. All the amenities were awesome. The lobby was great to hangout have a few drinks and watch some sports with all the friends we were there with. The staff was great with all the kids running around. Thank you for a great tournament weekend!

This was my first stay at this hotel. I often stay downtown when visiting family in Grand Rapids. But this is the hotel I plan to stay from now on. I chose it for location to where I needed to be, and the fact that it had easy onsite parking. The room was very large and comfortable. I had a balcony. The bathroom had ample space for my bags and towel hooks (my personal hotel pet peeve is not enough towel hooks). The room was very comfortable with lots of clothes storage - the closet in particular was large with hanging rod, shelves, and baskets. This would be amazing hotel for someone needing a longer stay. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator and was very quiet. The hotel has several areas to sit and read or relax or talk if you are meeting people. The lobby is large and there is a restaurant/bar that serves breakfast and dinner, and a market if you need something quick. I saw many families hanging out together in the lobby. It was pretty well situated to everywhere I needed to be.

This hotel is a typical HGI. The room was immaculate, bed was comfy and everything worked well. I especially liked in this time of covid that all glasses were paper and individually wrapped. Breakfast was good and all employees were very friendly.

The only negative is that in this time of Covid you have to sign up when you check in for a specific time slot to use the pool. We signed up on an empty time and when it came time to use it there was a full list of people.... more people than would usually use it. We did not and I was disappointed because I like to hop in the hot tub after a long day. I honestly believe that without the restriction of the sign up list less people would have crowded in at the specific time... Lose the list.

There are alot of restaurants and shops in the area. If you cant find what you want nearby its not to be found.

I'd stay here again (without pool restrictions).

The hot tub was cold. Went to tell the front desk and she said there's nothing she could do. Said it just feels cold because it's cold outside. No, the water coming out of the jets was cold even. The things broken and put zero effort into looking into it for me. The signs say everywhere if your stay wasn't as expected talk to a representative and they'll make it right, "guarenteed." Well they won't do anything for you and am going to fill out a BBB complaint. The hot tub is the only reason why we got this hotel and I know the reason why more people stayed there too. And the breakfast is not free. It says on a small sign 16$ a person but you'll only know that if you look around for a small piece of paper with it on it or once you get done eating they come over with a bill. And the lady took my plate before I was done, basically rushing me out of the buffet. Will be leaving a BBB complaint for sure. Nothing changes if you talk to the front desk.

The best experience was the maintance man Marcellus who came up to our room and was such a nice person and genuinely concerned about our satisfaction. Though a generally good experience throughout the hotel; clean room of decent size, balcony, bottled water in room, easy check in, there are a couple of things that stuck in my craw. They do not have cable TV in the rooms. What you get is just the free stuff that comes with a subscription to ATT Direct TV. To watch actual TV content (other than infomercials, reality TV and so-called free news) you have to go down to the bar. The other point that considering the rates here (typically $200+) you don't even get breakfast. With tax and tip I think it was about $50 for a couple to have breakfast. We went to Bob Evans. What ever happened to some sort of egg, meat and toast for free? I guess I'll stay at a cheaper hotel next time and get free cable TV and breakfast.

If you're a [cig] smoker,I recommend, for your wallets sake, throw empty butts and cig packs in the lawn. If you throw an empty pack away in your room garbage, you MIGHT just be accused of smoking in the room and get charged $250. Doesn't matter your word because of the proof(empty cig pack).
Quite frankly, it's beautiful! But, eff that & the people who were less than helpful.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel stay. I booked for conjoining rooms and paid ahead to secure them and then I find out later that they didn't have conjoining rooms to book. Then I had to argue with the staff about why I booked it this way in the first place and that I checked to make sure this was going to be okay and all they did was get me two rooms next to each other. Said that was the best they could do. Afterwards I am charged for a cleaning fee and I got an excuse that they couldn't rent the room out the next night, because they had to use a shop vac some large pieces of confetti! I am sorry, what is your staff paid to do exactly? Btw, your carpet was stained! Maybe your maintenance person should be cleaning carpets instead! A regular vacuum should have been sufficient, sounds to me like your cleaning staff is lazy. I had no help after I was dumped with the rooms that were not what I reserved and I was lied to that I would have them. On top of that, the place is disgusting. The pool, the floor, the hot tub was not clean, there were stains all over the furniture in the lobby. To top it off they charge for breakfast, not a huge issue but since I am on the topic of bad service I think you charge enough to cover complimentary food. Other hotels much cheaper than you include it and while they aren't the best, what I saw was no different than what I am served at other places. I will never stay at another Hilton again and I will make sure to share this with everyone I know to do the same. Get it together Hilton!

This was a very nice, clean hotel. I needed a handicapped accessible room and The only thing that worked for me was the shower and toilet. Bed too high. Shelves in bathroom unreachable. Closet door wouldn’t stay open. Hard to roll walker on patterned carpet. Too bad for me.

Pros:

The hotel was spotlessly clean, updated, and the staff were all extremely friendly. The bed was comfortable, and I felt safe with the cleaning precautions taken during COVID. The location was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Cons: There were a few minor things that were less than ideal, such as an outrageously priced convenience store in the lobby and a charge for high speed internet, but the overall environment made up for those nuances. However, we had one issue that, while not major for us, could've caused serious problems in another situation. The electronic door locking/unlocking mechanism on our door died. We left for breakfast and returned to find that there were no staff with access to the correct charger to get into our room, and were told there wouldn't be any staff available to get us into our room until noon. This took about 3 trips up and down from the front desk to our room to determine. Thankfully, we didn't have anywhere pressing to be, but had we needed to catch a flight or had critical medication or a small child in the room, it could've quickly become a very big problem. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

I was charged 150.00 cleaning fee for some chip crumbs my kids left behind . Maybe they should leave a vacuum in the room if they don’t vacuum to begin with. Didn’t know that leaving behind crumbs would result in such a high fee that all they have to do is vacuum them up ! Not to mention they said our room wasn’t ready at 3pm, bc it wasn’t cleaned , yet they charge me a 150.00 fee for cleaning . What a joke ! I also had called and complained about the fee and it took a month for them to get back to me on what the heck I was being charged for , and it was freakin crumbs . I’ve been to hundreds of hotels with my kids, and never have had a cleaning fee .
