We just stayed here one night, the owner was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for places to eat, both places were good. We had an upstairs room so had a nice water view. It was so nice and quite there so we had a very good night sleep. We arrived a little later in the evening and the hot... More

My wife and I stayed at the Voyageur for 4 nights while vacationing in Grand Marais. We chose this motel based upon the reviews and it did not disappoint. Keep in mind that this is not a 5 Star resort area. We had multiple family members in Grand Marais at the same time who stayed in other establishments. We toured... More

We stayed at the Voyageurs for a night. Wish we could stay more. The owners are a very friendly, hardworking couple who care for their customers' needs. The view of Lake Superior from the room is awesome (an upstairs room would be even better). The room was very clean, was bigger in size than a typical room in other similarly... More

We made a drive through the upper peninsula for a few days and visited Grand Marais along Lake Superior. We elected to stay at The Voyageur. The owner, Delphine, was very cheery and helpful when we registered and gave us tips on where to eat in town etc. Our room was immaculately clean and what an awesome view of the... More

We stayed here in the winter. Though VERY clean, it is somewhat outdated, but we didn't expect a fancy hotel by any means. Sink outside where the shower/toilet is, but not alot of space for 2 people's belongings-make up, etc. Lots of space for trucks/trailers, so great for us. We arrived later at night and they were very helpful. Has... More

First of all thank you for telling people that our place is clean but saying we are dated? that word is so over used these days. We bought the Voyageurs Motel 11 years ago when it was so ran down that the heating wasn't working at all and of course we bought in the winter (driving in a blizzard coming... More

First of all I love that you can hear the waves from Lake Superior from our room with the window open. The room is very clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced. Staying here the night while snowmobiling. They have a very large space for trailers for those hauling snowmobiles. We are close to the trails as well.

Our room was clean, had a comfortable bed, the best pillows in a hotel that I've seen for a long time, nice sheets, small fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker, nice towels and plenty of soap. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan, up on a tall stand that could be used if it were hot. I doubt... More

A hidden gem - room was immaculate; recent remodel. Paint and carpet appeared new.2nd floor looked out to lake/town instead of parking area. Stairway at each end instead of one. Very comfortable and spacious room. Shower spray nice. Room contained fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Free bagged ice available in office. This motel has 10 well maintained units. Our second story room was super clean, good bed, nice bath towels and a view of the bay! Friendly and helpful owners, Delphine and Terry, also provide well maintained sauna and hot tub. Pictured Rocks hikes, Manistique canoe trips and Seney Wildlide Drive easily accessible from here. Short walk into town of Grand... More
