We Recently were in Grand Haven for the Thanksgiving Holiday. My kids stayed with Family while my husband and I and our youngest (2) stayed at the Inn. The room was spacious and the fireplace was very cozy. The staff were very sweet and didn't mind our toddler hanging out in the breakfast room in the morning. Everything was very clean and it felt like being in a newly renovated home. I can't wait to stay again.
When we checked in, we were greeted by a very welcoming person who took time to show us around. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, it was on the third floor and we are seniors so hauling our luggage to the third floor was not easy. (no elevator) It was easy to get around to restaurants and shops from the hotel and the screened in porch had a great view of the light and water show. The breakfast was a basic hotel buffet breakfast. No frills. The location would bring me back to this hotel.
very sweet hostess- lovely building, nice continental breakfast items, very close to the water. so... my issue? because of it's location and because of it being a Friday night, we paid $325 for one night. The room was pretty but VERY small! It was a nice place, but over priced for what you get. We stayed at a lighthouse BnB with a huge suite for a night for nearly $100 less than that. Sorry- just not worth it, but it is a lovely place.
elevator is permanently not working no good if you have any disabilities or don't want to climb stairs with your luggage on your back. carpets in stairway filthy. continental breakfast scant......would not stay again. very old. porch dirty, could use a sweeping at minimum
Arrived to find a large stain in middle of sheet on bed.... was moved to find a large stain on blanket.... moved to a third room (which secretary said was an upgrade) to a room that had a jacuzzi tub filled with mold around the jets. Not only disgusting but also a large inconvenience to be moved to 3 rooms. Walked past this bed and breakfast for 26 years and my husband surprised me by booking in for 1 night! Certainly wasn’t what we were expecting. We travel often during the summers and have never experienced anything like this. It’s one thing to find a stain but in the middle of the bed in the sheet and obvious mold growing in the bathtub. They refunded our stay but money doesn’t take the place of cleanliness or inconvenience. Was very disappointed and no shocker but never even heard from owner. I hope after reviewing this and seeing pictures it will make you hesitate before booking. This place is in to good of a location in such a beautiful city to be so disgusting.…
