Great location, rooms are well insulated, we never heard anything from neighboring rooms or outside and there was some work going on across the street. We had a room with a balcony and the balconies are huge and nice. Love the place and the rates are competitive. Walking distance to the beach and downtown.

We visited Grand Haven, Michigan and wanted to stay near the beach, but not directly on the beach. The Harbor House Inn was the perfect place, which was across the street from the Board Walk to the beach and famous pier. We could see the river and were close to restaurants and stores.

Because of COVID-19, we wore masks while in and around the lobby. We also had bagged breakfasts, which were nice. The rooms have been renovated and were nice.

Everyone was nice and the room in the back away from the main street was quiet at night. We would stay here again! I highly recommend the Harbor House Inn while staying in Grand Haven.

We had a King bed room on the 3rd floor. There are no elevators which is ok with us, but others may want to stay on the 1st floor because of that. The A/C unit is on the wall with the controls on the unit. It kept the room cool, was a little noisy, but you could choose to have the fan on continuously or automatically. The fan was on one side of the bed which was good for me but others may not want that much air on them while sleeping. There wasn't much road noise, but there are parking lot lights so we would probably choose a different room away from the parking lot. The windows have venetian blinds and no curtains so quite a bit of light comes in at night. The bathroom had a tub shower with plenty of hot water and pressure. There were 2 sets of towels which was great for us (we stayed 2 nights); we usually don't ask for maid service unless staying longer. The first floor has snacks, drinks, coffee and is where breakfast is served. There is a continental breakfast in the morning which was plenty for us. They serve breakfast at 8, but coffee is available at 7. The room has lamps but no overhead light. The TV remote was an issue for my husband who couldn't get the channels to work for his baseball playoffs the second night. The bed was not too firm, but I always travel with a mattress pad. The sink has a small shelf over the top for toiletries. The bedroom was spacious and had a small table with two chairs. There was an armoire to hang clothes and a dresser. The staff was nice. A nice touch is a dish of carmels in the room and cookies in the afternoon. The location is convenient to the boardwalk and rail trails for riding our bikes. The rates were reasonable and we would stay again.

Great location and very comfortable room. Very nice pre- packaged breakfast in a gathering room with a fireplace, also wraparound porch, partly screened. Nice view across from the board walk. Close to downtown, and Snug Harbor restaurant just across the street. We found a hdden gem of a small restaurant on Tripadvisor-STANZ. Enjoyed polish plates and brisket sandwiches. Excellent food!

Classic bait and switch for the rooms. I reserved a king room with french doors and balcony and was put in Cottage 3 which had no french doors or balcony. The one staff we saw was nice and she gave us a $50 refund for the "website error" of the room booking but I would rather have the room we booked. She made the statement along the lines of "this has been happening a lot lately". The room was nice looking but musty and the towels and bedding were damp. It is a bed and BREAKFAST which implies a decent breakfast. The breakfast included english muffins, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit and yogurt. We travel A LOT. I get better at almost every hotel I have been to that offers breakfast. Checkout was at 11:00. I had a charter fishing trip that ended at noon. I requested a one hour late checkout so my wife didn't have to find something to do for an hour. This is the only place I have ever been that would not grant a one hour late checkout. The only positives for this visit was the location and the caramels. This B&B is absolutely not worth the very high cost.

The hotel was very clean and hosts were friendly. They were very careful to follow Covid guidance. The hotel was in a great location across from the pier and close to good restaurants. We enjoyed our spacious rooms, and balcony. The jacuzzi tub was clean and comfortable! The caramels were great so don’t miss them!! The coffee was fresh and breakfast stuff was okay considering precautions needed. I would highly recommend it!

This is a lovely Bed & Breakfast across from BiCentennial Park in Grand Haven. Shopping and restaurants are right there and the walking is easy. The Grand Haven State Park and beach is about a half mile. We took our beach chairs and walked across the street for the Musical Fountain concerts each night at 10 pm. Parking is secure in the back of building. Great location.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn is clean and the decor is perfect for a casual beach feel. The large screened in porch was perfect for breakfast. Breakfast is what you would find at any hotel with a buffet of cartel, boiled eggs, cheese sticks, cut up fresh fruit, English muffins and fresh baked fruit bread. Coffee and juice as well. Very nice
Our room was very nice size with a king bed. Arm chairs and a small table with chairs was also very nice. Fireplace but did not use. Carmel’s by the bed!!!
I would have given five stars but the whirlpool tub was unusable. Black mold was around and inside all of the jets. I took a Lysol wipe to try to clean and took it to the front desk staff. She took it and was to leave a note. I also emailed the innkeeper but no response the 2 days we were there or even up to now. It was unusable. We had to shower but that was fine. Room 35. It was a shame

A really super sweet and great located bed and breakfast, close to the center and waterfront restaurants. You feel at home with Grandma.

We were passing through from Chicago for 2 nights in Gran Haven visiting our friends who booked us the Harbor House Inn in May for August - at this time the Harbor House Inn cost USD 125/night. At check-in it was suddenly USD 400/per night so Total USD 800! A proud price for a simple bed and breakfast! Of course it is high season and the prices can vary, but then the quality also has to be right or raised and unfortunately that was not the case.

When tripling the price, the cleanliness, comfort, service and friendliness of the staff must be absolute and without discussion top!

Suitcases must be carried to the upper floor themselves, no lift, no Help center, duvet and linen both dirty and covered with coffee and orange juice stains, hair in the bathtub, water does not run off, mirror and basin not clean, coffee machine has the next day still filled the old capsule inside, no cups, no shower gel & body lotion, on the balcony are 2 chairs, but no shelf or even a small table to put down at most a glass or a cup, after enquiry at the reception it was said, they are still considering whether to make the purchase. The cleaning lady was not very motivated when we pointed out to her the above points, she had too few linens in the many arrivals and departures. Well not really our problem, isn’t it?

We informed the lady at the reception about everything when checking out, you would forward it to the owners, but it didn't seem to really interest them.

Too bad, because it would have potential and is really quite sweet and well located!

Looking for a quaint place to stay preferably on the water (really wanted Lake side) and we selected the Harbor House Inn. Wanted water view (inlet, in the case) and we were lucky to get two rooms facing the inlet. Room was spacious with a large bed, tv, nightstands, a small table with chairs and small stand up closet that had obviously seen better days as it had dents and scrapes and looked very worn. However, it served its intended purpose. Bath had a jet tub but we did not use the tub. There was some staining around the jets so it looks like it could have used a deep sanitizing clean. Stairs are a bit narrow to climb. I noticed some spots on the wall in one of the stair landings and notified the desk. It was quite noticeable. They serve coffee until 9 p.m. and has some fresh baked cookies available also. Continental breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, English muffins, a pumpkin loaf, fresh juice, yogurt, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, cheese and some additional foods. Weather permitted us to snack on the the screen in porch. Staff was very pleasant and nice. Reasonably priced for the location and close to downtown shops and restaurants/bars. Town kind of rolled its streets up on Sunday night but that is expected considering the time of year and it being Sunday.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights. You could not ask for a better location. It was located right across the street from the park and within walk distance to everything. Our room was on the first floor and it was perfect. Everything was updated, but still had some old time charm. I am thankful that we had a first floor unit, because I would not have wanted to haul our things up all of those stairs. The house was locked at all times, but you were given a key to the doors. The parking lot was located right on the side and offered easy access to the building. There was a nice continental breakfast in the morning, cookies in the afternoon and caramels by your bedside. The screened in porch was really nice and we enjoyed it both in the morning and the evenings. The house was always very calm and peaceful during our stay. The staff was also very kind. I would highly recommend this to singles or couples.
