This was our first time staying at the downtown property after many times down along the beach. We were surprised how much room the units had. We stayed in #4. Our unit was very clean just as the property always is by the beach. There is an air conditioner in the bedroom and kitchen! Loved having the option to sit outside when it wasn’t too hot. We were a little said we were not by the beach but it was a last minute get away. We did like walking 2 blocks over to get to the harbor and 2 blocks to downtown. These units could using some updating but if you don’t mind this is clean and comfortable and the you will love the location.

Perfect location for anniversary trip to Grand Haven. A spectacular sunset and views of the lighthouse. A walk across the street to go swimming on the beautiful warm fall day. A very nice young man let us up to our room and we were pleasantly surprised that it was a full kitchen living room and bedroom and bath. Everything was very clean and neat. Parts of the resort showed a bit of where owing to its age. Owners went out of the way to provide guests with items they needed in the room as well as downstairs for beach enjoyment.

This is an older motel right across from the Grand Haven State Park and within walking distance of shopping & restaurants. They have a variety of rooms, some with kitchens. The property & rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly, lots of outdoor seating & as already state, the location cannot be beat. The sitting area furniture could use some updating but the beds were comfortable.

This is a small boutique hotel in Grand Haven. It is directly across from Grand Haven beach on lake Michigan. It is a little rough in the edges. It only has (14) rooms which are all different in size. We stayed in (2) different rooms. They provide beach chairs, umbrella’s, small wave boards, and towels for the beach The owner is very accommodating and his staff will go out of the way to help with anything. The room rates are affordable compared to outrageous prices in Traverse City. It is a little over a mile to town. (20) minute walk, along connector park along the river. Only problem is there are no convenience stores in Grand Haven near the hotel. You will have to drive to Meijer’s 15 minutes away. Anna’s House is great for breakfast and Snug Harbor is good for dinner, both are 20-25 minute walks. Like the owner says 85% of guests on any given day are repeat customers. That says a lot.

This was first time visiting Grand Haven and Bluewater is a hidden gem. You cannot beat the location. You can walk out and overlook Lake Michigan. It is an older establishment which makes it great to be able to take a break and get away from everything. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The suite had a stove and cooking supplies so it was great to be able to make a simple meal at home. It also has great pricing.

Where do I begin..... First of all, my girlfriends and I stayed at the owners downtown location and not this exact place. Apparently the owner has two locations and they're both nasty! The place needed TONS of repairs and needed some serious cleaning!!! We found mouse droppings, someone's hair all over the shower wall, dirty floors & walls, a dead baby cockroach (the list goes on)! Also, upon meeting the owner on our first night there, he was extremely rude to us and very unprofessional. I would never stay here again or stay at any properties this man owns, period! Not after our experience with him and his property. RENTER BEWARE!!

My girlfriends and I get together once a year as we live across the country from one another as we were all army wives. This place was very cute with a great location however; the walls are so thin you can hear everything. The morning after the first night the manager talked to my pregnant friend and asked us how many people were in our room (4) and told us there is a quiet after 10pm policy and that they aren't a "party hotel". The second night were talking one night quietly and the the tv was on and the guest next to us banged on the wall to tell us to "be quiet". We couldn't even talk. If anyone is planning to stay up past 10pm don't stay here!!! You will get yelled at for being "loud" as talking is prohibited. Maybe this place should invest in some insulation, I was very insulted and won't stay here again as we spent a lot of money to have a nice relaxing weekend and TALK and catch up with each other.

My husband and I made reservations here to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary...BIG mistake. The room that we reserved was A LOT smaller then we imagined, just by looking at their photos online. According to their description online, our room (7b) had a microwave, mini refrigerators, air conditioning, tvwas supposed to have

We stayed in room 8B which is one of the small 2nd floor units but the layout allowed the two of us to have plenty of space for eveything. Right across the road from the beach makes it a perfect location. We used the fridge, coffee maker and microwave. A couple of TV trays would be a great addition to this room as it is often too hot in the sun to eat out on the picnic tables provided. The bed was wonderful for sleeping. We take a fan to run for noise control which we always recommend. No loud noises but this is a family hotel destination so be prepared. If children are a bother I would recommend going the latter part of August. AC was good, TV great. Ice is available for purchase in the lobby. There is a big wraparound deck on the 2nd floor for sitting at any time but after sundown it is perfect. Grills available in the courtyard. We smelled steak once. Weather was perfect. We would return and would love to have a unit with small kitchen facitilites.
