The place was ok. No major complaints, but much more geared towards families. There were a lot of young, loud children running all over the place and splashing taking over the entire pool area. Would not stay here again. I really do not think it was worth the price for what you get. Next time I will look for other... More

Recently visited with our family of 6 and had booked a room on the 2nd floor of one of their cottages. The room said it could accommodate 6 with 2 full beds in one room and a futon in the front room. We knew it was not large but thought we could make it work. However, we were not at... More

For the third year in a row our family has stayed and enjoyed the Coast Guard Festival at the Serendipity Resort in Grand Haven, MI - Coast Guard City, USA! As in the past, our stay was great. The location of the resort is perfect for families, as you are one block from the carnival so you can walk there... More

My whole family was there for my parents' 40th Anniversary. Pros: Location, location, location. Close to all things in town and the pier/lighthouse. Resort had a nice grilling area, fire pit, and tiki hut. Many nice beaches within a short drive. We walked to the Armory most mornings for coffee at Aldea. They also have a brewery inside and a bbq... More

We stayed at lily 5, which is room up in the attic. Climbing up is not a problem for us. The room is generally very clean and has everything you need. However, some issues need to be addressed. First, the Air-con or fan in the room is very noisy. We simply chose to shut them off. Fortunately it was not... More

My best friend and packed a bag and headed toward the West side of Michigan is search of sun and relaxation. The first beach we came to was in Grand Haven. After a few hours of waves and sun, we checked Google for local hotels and found availability at Serendipity Resort and Suites, located in the center of town and... More

Our room had simple sheer curtains, no shades. It was light at 5 am and at night I changed in the dark. In the extremely squeaky floor, I could see light through the cracks to the apartment below, and there was a 2" gap under the door to the hallway next to my bed leaving absolutely no privacy. The hotel... More

We got a suite in the Lillie house on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. 3 kids 3 adults. $275 for a poorly air conditioned bare boned room in a house. There is no where to eat even though there is a full kitchen. Stick with a regular hotel or a more modern condo!

We celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary in the Garden House. Unlike so many of the houses and B&B's in the area, we were able to rent from a Wednesday to a Friday. From our first phone call to Serendipity, till our check-out time, the staff was amazing. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that could take a lesson... More

We stayed in the Tuscan House. 2 adults and 3 children under 7 fit perfectly. Bonus - the closest was big enough to hold the pack n play for our youngest, and keeping him in his own space meant everyone slept much better! The pool area was by far our favorite! In fact, I'm sure we missed out on tons... More

“We and our families stayed in 5 of the 6 houses that make up the resort and occupied 2/3 of the suites that make up the resort. All are equally quiet and nice. Lillie House and Carriage House have a little more challenge in accessing the pool area but all worked great for our 72 hour family celebration.”
