Room had the characteristic old smoke stale smell, even though it was a non-smoking room. Furnishings are adequate and the room seemed clean, but the overall condition of the carpet, beds, and bathroom are old and run down. One of the 2 beds was sleepable, the other had a mattress that was too old and soft to support a full-sized...

NICE Motel. Good service Minimalist breakfast. Clean rooms. $25 a night for a less than 20 pound dog. It's a good deal for $65 a night. NOT a good deal with a 20 pound dog. I have adopted a new attitude about the use of "pet friendly" when people charge high fees to accommodate a small dog.

After checking rates all over town, I found this to be the BEST Value! I had been here the year before with my Mother and Sister so I knew it was safe. I made my reservation online so it was all set. When I arrived, the Manager remembered me and asked me if my Mom was staying this time! I...

We wanted a budget option without frills. This place fit the bill. The counter staff was friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean with a good bed. The place felt safe. The only complaint was the bathroom seemed old and needed updating. Other reviewers recommended getting an upstairs room in the back of the property in order to...

Possible safety issues. In the room it looks like they went to a used furniture store to furnish the room. The desk is so big you can barely walk by it (seems like if there were a fire at night that could be a safety issue. Also the chairs were stained and the desk was missing it's drawer face. The...

Nice roadside inn. Clean rooms. Friendly service. Surprised by the continental breakfast and the variety available. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but had no expectation of that. Had a room on the front side of the hotel, you could hear some noise from the road, but not annoying. Booked the reservation on line so I knew the total cost before I...

The owner was fantastic and the room appeared to have been recently updated (new paint and sink). The bed was very comfortable. We did not utilize the continental breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The main negative was the black mold on the grout surrounding the tub.

After an awful stay at the Rodeway Inn in Lyons, IL (check out my review of it, if you want a good laugh) I was not expecting much from this property. This property however, was almost 'luxurious' compared to the Lyons, IL location. The Grand Haven property was worth the price we paid. The Lyons, IL location in comparison should...

We booked this hotel sort of last minute for Coast Guard Festival weekend. We typically stay with friends in town but wanted our own beds and some air conditioning. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. Free Wi-Fi was available. It's an older no frills hotel but was clean and served the purpose of somewhere to sleep...

I made my reservation months ahead of time. The website said the cost would be 89.99 per night when I made my reservation online. After I checked out, I saw on my credit card statement that I was charged 179.98 for the second night. The hotel said it was their weekend rate. Had I known I was going to pay...
