We stayed one night at the Washington Inn while we were in Grand Haven. Tony is a awesome host. He gave us good recomendations for things to do and see and a good restaurant for dinner. We stayed in the room downstairs. The bed was very comfortable. Nice sized bathroom for a B & B. The breakfast was delicous the next morning. We met another couple and enjoyed talking with them and Tony both. We enjoyed our time there. Thank you Tony!

We spent 2 nights here in August & enjoyed our stay. Our host, Tony was friendly & accommodating as we were arriving a little bit past normal check in hours. The location cannot be beat as you are only blocks from both downtown & the waterfront. Breakfast was excellent & filling both mornings. As usual, we enjoyed meeting other folks that were staying there. There is a front porch to experience at any time during the day (or evening) and plenty of common areas inside as well.

My husband and I stayed here during Holland's tulip festival in May for several nights. The Dornbos room was very clean and comfortable. Tony is a wonderful cook! We enjoyed the breakfast. The inn is tastefully decorated and Tony gave us many ideas for things to do in the area. We have stayed at quite a few b and b's over the years and this is one of our favorites! We would definitely go back again.

Tony is a wonderful host. He is committed to his BnB that him and his wife have owned for 35 years. We have been to many BnBs and have not met any host/hostess that has owned their BnB for that long of a time! The breakfasts are not only delicious, but so filling that you won't have to eat again till 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. It is so nice to sit at one big table with the other guests and have so many interesting conversations! The price is very reasonable, especially compared to the marked up prices that most Michigan shoreline hotels gauge you for! The beds, sheets, towels, cleanliness, parking are AWESOME! I am very picky (to the point where if a light bulb is out, it annoys me), so you know for me to give a BnB a GREAT review, it means a lot! You are also within walking distance to downtown, so once you get there, you would not have to get in your car again. We brought our bikes, so we biked all the way to the end of the pier, which was an easy bike ride. I am in my early 50's, so if I can do it, most anyone can! Obviously, I highly recommend this BnB!
Thank Kathy M

This is not my first review of the Washington Street Inn, but I thought I'd take a moment to let you all know our visith this past weekend was just as delightful as our first! Here we are, 5 years later x 5 annual visits, and the stay just keeps getting better! I'm not really sure how that is possible, (read my first review from 2013) but it's true! The owners (Tony and Michelle) are truly dedicated to providing a relaxing and comfortable experience for their guests!
We have always stayed in the Dornbos room on the first floor, and the super comfortable bed, and soft linens simply make you say "Ahhhhhhh!" as you sink in and relax. The super fluffy towels and the rain style shower head in the private bath are a delight! The room has its own air conditioner for your personal comfort and is very quiet. The Inn is located on one of the main streets into the downtown area, but you don't really hear traffic or city noises.
Breakfast has always been a delightful selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, scones, gourmet egg dishes, juice, and fresh breads from a local gourmet bakery. Just as it was 5 years ago in my first review, the food is homemade and better than anything I've ever been served in some of the finest hotels!
The entire Inn is SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the lawn and gardens always beautifully manicured.
Parking is conveniently located right at the Inn, with plenty of room for larger vehicles (i.e. vans, pickup trucks, SUVs).
The Inn is located just a few short blocks from from the downtown eateries, galleries, and shopping, and the lakeshore is just a few blocks beyond that.
We start planning our annual visit to Grand Haven months in advance, and first on our agenda is a call to the Washington Street Inn. Delightful in EVERY way! Thanks again, Tony and Michelle! We'll see you next year!
