My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! The Inn is historic French decor and although old was very clean throughout. There is a nice sitting area with a fireplace, cozy for reading and visiting. We stayed in the Sleeping Bear Suite which was very spacious and quiet. The innkeeper Laura was gracious, friendly and served absolutely fabulous breakfasts. She was helpful in terms of area attractions and restaurants. The Inn is perfectly situated between Leelenau Peninsula and Sleeping Bear Dunes, each only a 15 min scenic drive away. We would definitely stay here again!
The good reviews helped me with the selection of Glen Arbor B&B. I made our reservations 6 months before our trip because the really good Michigan B&B's are booked 6 months in advance. The innkeeper, Laura, was excellent with e-m communications in advance. I called to speak with her to book our suite. She was helpful with all my questions about the Glen Arbor area. Laura is an amazing gourmet cook. Our 2 morning breakfasts exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were easting at a 5 star resort. We stayed at 3 B&B's during our vacation in Michigan. This was the most memorable.
Glen Arbor Bed and Breakfast is a gem in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes. The inn is comfortable, clean and cozy but what really makes it stand out is the attention to detail provided by Laura, the inn keeper, who does an amazing job of running the inn. We visited over one of the two wine tour weekends which included breakfast and dinner (delicious) at the inn as well as shuttle service to many of the wineries in the Leelanau peninsula (accompanied by Laura) where we enjoyed wine samples along with a variety of small food pairings. We had a great three day stay and made many new friends. Highly recommend!
We rented sleeping bear Suite upstairs, Just Lovely. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was as wonderful as we read about. Laura the innkeeper is very sweet. Place is so cozy. The sitting area with fireplace was adorable . our weather was cold n Rainy so we didn't sit much out on cute front porch, but we still walked to Lake Michigan at end of street, always gorgeous. Close ride to sleeping bear dunes, On Saturday we enjoyed the shops esc Coastal and M22 store, We ate at Art Taverns very good food, would love to visit again.
The room was very clean ad had all the necessary items to make one comfortable. Laura was a great host and her breakfasts were fabulous. The location is perfect for walking in town. and close to Sleeping Bear Dunes Park and trails.
My wife and I just stayed at the Glen Arbor B&B and we had a great time. From Laura's cooking to her vast knowledge of the trails, we were impressed. Her sticky buns were worth the trip alone. As my wife would say, our room was cute and the lobby welcoming, especially the fire in the fireplace.
This was our first time in this area and we loved our accommodation at Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast and Cottages. We stayed in Lane's Cottage. It was very comfortable, clean and convenient for touring the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. The innkeeper, Laura, was very helpful in answering our questions. We can hardly wait to go back.
This was our third stay at this lovely inn. This B&B has a cozy, comfortable feel and the location couldn’t be better. We particularly appreciated Laura, our hostess, who saw to our every need and prepared awesome breakfasts. We were in a ground floor room with comfy beds and a separate sitting room. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas which make for relaxed gatherings. Great place to stay!
Laura was amazing. We made a last minute reservation (from our car in the B&B parking area) with Laura while she was grocery shopping! We loved every minute of our stay. Relaxing and charming! Laura started a fire in the fireplace for us to enjoy in the evening and the following morning. Breakfast was delicious and filling. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Easily the best breakfast we've ever had at a B&B. Laura is not only a great cook, but also a great host. Walking distance to everything in Glen Arbor, and a couple of walking/hiking trails. Short drive to Sleep Bear Dunes and a lot of other great places to visit. Will definitely stay here again.
