The food was cold (dinner and breakfast), staff were VERY rude and unhelpful. They made us wait 40 MINUTES for check-in, while checking in other guest, whose arrived after us. Wifi was spotty. The only positive things are the rooms. I do not recommend.
We liked very much the hotel. The room was clean and big enough for all 4 of us, Wifi signal was ok but could be improved. The wellness center is not the strongest point as the pool is not that big, it might be actually too small for the fully occupied hotel, yet ok for a splash; they have a little pool for toddlers too. I liked the salt chamber very much. The breakfast has a medium selection but the veggies were fresh. Very bad dinner though, I would not recommend. Better to take the car and eat in the city as the restaurants around are few and....not that good.
My wife and me spent 2 nights in this hotel in the middle of April 2019. It is at a very good location, near a small lake called Sás-tó in the Mátra. The location is perfect if you intend to make excursions in the woods. The hotel is inside a campsite. Perhaps this is the reason why one gets (and has to wear) an ugly armband during his whole stay. Its annoying and uncomfortable... We were accommodated in a large, two-room apartment which was quite new(ish) and clean. The small fridge was a big plus. As it was still quite cold we were happy we had heating in the bedroom. Just as in case of other hotels of this type in Hungary the biggest problem was with the meal. The campsite has its own restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner. The former was so-so (but definitive plentiful), but the food at dinners was awful. Other than that the staff was overall friendly and helpful. The hotel has a spa area that I didn't visit but my wife had two sauna sessions and she enjoyed them. All in all the place worth being tried, just have dinner somewhere else.…
The hotel is located in a very well-kept environment. Cleanliness is great everywhere. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The wellness area seems small for many guests. The care is absolutely correct, the staff is kind and polite. The hotel is specially designed for children. What is outstanding is, the salt cave. Fantastic! All in all, this hotel is very good in its category.
It is hard to give a proper evaluation on the hotel stay. I was staying there for work, with more people. The hotel itself is new, clean, located on a campsite in the middle of beautiful nature. The rooms are big enough, comfortable, nothing to complain (however we had broken airconditioning in the room , but the staff provided extra heaters). The simple food is provided in the onsite restaurant, in a self service system, that need patience in case a group and might not fit to professional events. What made us not choosing the hotel again for work, that it was difficult to communicate with the staff - there was somehow angry, unflexible , even strange and hostile attitude on behalf of some people responsible for the guests and events (it is not an easy task and we all have bad days, but it was more than that)In the conference room, airconditioning was not working properly and the coffeebreaks were served late.I have worked with numerous hotel before, but this one would won the worse service / staff prize (except one receptionists who seem to know her business and the staff at the restaurant and in the small wellness centre). Such a shame, as one of the earlier reviewer said, good hotel in bad hands. …
The hotel itself is beautiful and very well equipped. However, this hotel is situated in the middle of a camping and its facilities can be used by all. The restaurant is ok, but everything is too salty and there are very few tables. Unfortunately the level of services reflect some ancient ages...
