If you are looking for a place where you can relax and get away from city life for a few days, this is it. Riverwalk Place is a unique hotel with only a few guest rooms and five or six large suites. I originally booked a King Jacuzzi room, but when we were checking in, we upgraded to a third floor suite because they had one available, and we wanted something more special for our tenth wedding anniversary. Gladwin is a small farming town. Don't expect to have dinner after 8:00 PM unless you want to eat in a local bar. Nothing wrong with that, since one of the local bars has very good food which we enjoyed on our fitst night in Gladwin. The Riverwalk Grill is in the hotel and overlooks the Cedar River. We had our anniversary dinner there and it was very good. Great service and great food. The spa is on the second floor of the building and has a large variety of services. Frankly, you wouldn't exoect to find thses spa services in such a small town. My wife and I took advantage of some of the spa services and found that they were very reasonably priced. All of the staff of the hotel, spa, and restaurant with whom we came into contact were very nice and helpful. By the way, I believe the Riverwalk Place hotel is the tallest building in Gladwin (three stories). We had a wonderful balcony off our suite. The balcony was very large, being about the size of a standard hotel room. The suite was huge, and well appointed with a full kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you want to do something besides relax, then there are two casinos within 45 minutes of Gladwin. Otherwise, don't expect much night life. Bring a book, sit on the balcony or in your room, or sit by the river and observe nature. Take a walk on the river walk. if you're lucky, you'll see some Amixh people around town or in their buggies triotting down the street. Remember, I said Gladwin is a farm town and it is in the midst of other small towns in central Michigan. We liked the place and we'll go there again.

I frequent this location because I enjoy golfing and there’s many courses to choose from in all price ranges. The only issue I believe someone may have is if you need extras like towels you must request before 9 PM since the desk is not in until the morning. Continental breakfast is provided.

We appreciate your feedback and do tell every guest when they check-in that our front desk does close at 9PM (or 10PM depending on the day) and opens at 7AM the next morning and if they need anything to please let us know. We originally booked because they offered a wine luau which did not meet our expectations. 6 one sip cups of not so good wine and small bowl of cheese cracker salami snacks. But we’re grateful the luau advertisement led us to stay at Riverwalk Place! It was beautiful. Good service and excellent food. I would question the spa menu as we booked 60 minute massages and only received 45 minutes. Hotels seemed newly updated. Only one check in clerk but very friendly and informative. Continental breakfast adequate. Wanted to visit boutique but computers were down. Wouldn’t even let us shop for cash only which was a bummer for their business because my 3 girlfriends and myself would have definitely increased their sales for the day! Overall, Beautiful place to stay, but I would skip the spa massage next time and hopefully the boutique will be open for shopping!

We are disappointed that the Wine Luau did not reach your expectations, we have taken your feedback and shared it with the event staff so that we will improve our next event. Oasis Salon & Spa is very structured and we are surprised to read that you did not receive a 60-minute massage if that is what you asked for, did you mention the time/service concerns to your service provider or with the front desk? We would like to make sure that was taken care of. We have talked with our staff at Chic Boutique so that when the internet is down to still allow the transactions in some way so that guests can shop during the business hours. We do hope that you come back for another getaway.

I would have like to see grip bars over by the jacuzzi helping you get in and out. I love that we could just call the desk for additional towels or anything else we may have needed. I can’t wait to come back do we can use the restaurant and the little boutique down stair it look like a very very nice place with a lot of things to choose from.

I stayed at Riverwalk Place Resort & Spa in Gladwin while on personal business. The riverview room that I stayed in was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. The onsite restaurant had many delicious options and the food was fresh, delicious and affordably priced. All of the staff at the hotel were knowledgeable and curteous. I highly recommend staying at Riverwalk Place, and I would definitely go back there when in Gladwin.

My husband and I had a gift card from our wedding we decided to use. We paid 150 over the gift card price and were not very impressed. Room was great, comfy bed, nice tub. The sunday buffet was not good at all, food was all rubber. We had a couple's massage, my husbands massage therapist acted as if she didnt want to be there. Yawning the entire time, didnt really do a great job at the massage itself. And she even blew her nose and did not wash her hands or anything! Will be staying closer to home in Midland if we go out again

A group of friends and I went to celebrate a 40th Birthday. We stayed in an amazing suite, we enjoyed a relaxing day at the spa, had a couple of very tasty meals at a reasonable price in the restaurant, and enjoyed the unique/fabulous boutique. We can’t wait to go back again!!!

If looking for a great place to stay while visiting or passing through Gladwin; check in at Riverwalk Place or Rivertown Inn.
Each time I've stayed at either property my experience was exceptional! Selena has personally accommodated multiple reservations of mine with the Riverwalk properties. Every time, Selena is most accommodating in accessing my needs, requests and reservation modifications with a smile!
Recently, my sister and I were in town for the unfortunate passing of our Father. We were exhausted, deeply saddened and needed a comforting place to stay. We contacted Riverwalk Place and Selena and all of the staff from check-in, housekeeping, the restaurant and retail went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
The front desk team always greeted us with warm smiles and offered helpful information with hotel amenities. The staff was always approachable, friendly, and genuinely eager to assist with any questions. Our room was pristine and spacious enough to spread out and relax. The restaurant & bar staff exceeded expectations offering excellent menu items and accommodating my dietary restrictions.
Riverwalk delivered an experience beyond what we anticipated. The exceptional service and overall heart-warming hospitality made our visit a comforting and memorable experience. This summer, we look forward to returning with our families and enjoying the River House experience. Thank you Selena and all of the Riverwalk Family!

We stayed in Suite 302, it was amazing! Beautifully decorated, extremely clean, fully equipped, large rooms, high ceilings and wonderful walk out to a huge deck over looking the river. Staff was professional and very kind. Restaurant was lovely with good food and service. We truly enjoyed our overnight stay celebrating our moms 86th Birthday, only thing wrong was we should have booked 2 nights to totally enjoy all amenities and surrounding area.

There is a sister property down the street that gives you pool access.
I am not sure about karaoke but the bars downtown are about 2-3 blocks away approximately. Riverwalk is at the West end of downtown. There is great shopping in Riverwalk and also downtown Gladwin.
