Beautyfull hotel and restaurant! Enjoyed time with my family, but terrible day time Restaurant personal, speaks very bad and un understandable english (young girls) , acts like they dont care when they dont understand!!! While we waiting for food serving, restoran manager just chating and giggling with girl waiters and pays no attention to customers!!! thats discusting becouse customers dont need to see their sympaties or other things !!! Sorry for this but rest of things in hotel like rooms and cleaning in rooms was perfect! 🙂
The hotel itself is a "historical" hotel. That gives a very nice ambiance, while also makes it feel just a little worn. The staff is very friendly. The bartender (an Italian chap) was superb, and really knew his craft.
We decided to stay at the motel for one night and it was great. We got a room with the best view to the lake and the fridge was fantastic! Carpet on the floor is not great, as it can easily give the impression of the room being dirty - without that being the case. There were burn marked on the curtains and, but the bathroom was newly renovated and all in all it was a great deal. We had a whole day program and asked if we could park the car at the hotel car park and it was no trouble at all! We had dinner on the terrace in the evening and the waiter was attentive and flexible. I wanted the soup from the three course meal but couldn’t eat more than just the soup - not a problem. Good service!
Dear hotel owner, please educate your staff for how to handle your restaurant guests when it comes to food logistics and guest handling. Today 17th of July 2020, after our meal, I need to write this review in English to also alert none Norwegian guests NOT to visit the restaurant of Fleischer hotel. The restaurant looks gracefully from the outside, but you get more of less no services from the inside. First of all, we were looking forward to a three-course meal for our family. After waiting over 45 minutes for our starter, we complained to the restaurant “manager” and while still waiting for the starter, we got the main coursed served. It was a disaster from the beginning and to end of our meal. It was more or less a chaos situation in the restaurant. There were also 3 other tables near our table which got the same treatment (low services and a lot of excuses). We understand and accept that the restaurant also had new young and novice staff on duty today, but we’re not sure if they got properly training and guidance. Once again, dear hotel owner, if you don't raise your bar of minimum service level regarding customer handling and food logistics, then your hotel will naturally vanish by the law of survival of the fittest. This hotel was recommended by a friend of us, because we were on our way to Bergen as part of our Norwegian holiday due to Covid-19 situation. This is definitely our biggest disappointment until now. We've been visited 5 hotels including restaurants in 5 different places in Norway and the Fleischer restaurant is absolutely the worst one (ever in Norway). The restaurant really hit the bottom of my restaurant experience list. I truly sorry for such bad review for such beautiful restaurant. Get your grip and wake up, people!…
We haven't got a bad word to say about the rooms, the location, the service or the food. We stayed 2 nights, but would have loved to saty much longer. It has great views & is walking distance from evrthing.
