We have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the last year. My kids wrestle in this part of the state often and we have had very consistent service and nice rooms each time! We will continue to stay at this property. I also love the proximity to restaurants.

We were in town visiting family for a week and had a nice stay here. We were concerned the first night with a very loud group in an adjoining room and called the desk at 1:30am. They dealt with the issue quickly and promptly. Breakfast area was well maintained and room was cleaned well each day. Marriott lose FOX!!!! It’s NOT news it’s all an editorial, I prefer to think for myself.

Our stay was great, we had one issue with loud rude people next door still going strong at 1:30 am when I called downstairs it was dealt with quickly and the noise stopped. The blow dryer started sparking, so I called down for another and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. Housekeeping did a great job during our entire weeklong stay. The breakfast area, lobby and hallways were all very clean along with our room, I would stay here again.

My wife and I were headed to Fenton to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and I chose the Fairfield Inn because it appeared to be the nicest hotel in town (despite the fact that there's not hot tub.) It was more expensive than the neighboring hotel, but cost didn't matter- quality did. All was going well until morning came and we were getting ready to take off. I started the shower and the water was cold, so I let the water run longer. After over 10 minutes, I realized that the water wasn't going to get any warmer. I called down to the front desk and they said they'd send us to a different room to shower, which was fine. We headed to a different room down the hall only to discover that there was no hot water in that room, either. So we both headed into a very busy day with no shower. Awesome. When we checked out and I expressed my frustrations with the front desk clerk, he was understanding and explained that they were having an issue with their new water heaters and that we weren't the only people to complain. The hot water issue seemed to be impacting a certain area of rooms (clearly ours.) I was confused as to why they would put anyone in those rooms knowing full well the hot water wasn't functional. The desk clerk also explained that he couldn't compensate us because we booked third party. So I contacted Expedia, and when they called Fairfield inn, they offered a measly $40 refund. Forty. Dollars. So I paid $160 for a hotel that offers a frigid shower experience. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine where I'd pay one dollar for a hotel without a functioning shower, let alone $160. For this price I could have had a hotel down the road that had the basic amenity. I didn't expect a full refund, but $40 is telling me that the managers of the hotel don't care that their customers even get the basics... like a shower. Unbelievable. Happy anniversary to us.

Unfortunately, the Management at this property is lacking good customer service. It seems to be a common theme in other reviews. Overall the hotel and room was unsanitary. There was mold in the bathroom on the shower head, hair on the floor and in the shower, the room and hallway smelled rancid and like cigarettes, there was trash in the halls, and overall was very unpleasant. We checked out early and the front desk said that since it was booked through a 3rd party we would have to deal with our travel agent. They would not give us any receipt that we checked out. They were unwilling to assist, and although wet checked out early the next morning, the hotel held us to the 4 night pre-paid rate. Our agent spoke to the sales manager, Keely (who would not provide her last name) and said the GM, Ashley Austin was in a meeting and unable to help us. This is very disappointing - especially that it has the Marriott name behind it.

Pulled up to town to spend the holidays at our other home only to find out the water coming out of the ceiling. Needless to say, we spent over a dozen nights here while we waited for contactors to start restoration. Our family did not plan on spending Christmas and New Years at a hotel, but we are certainly thankful it was an option! Ashley, Keith, and the ladies attending breakfast were welcoming and kind. Every housekeeper and maintenance guy we saw were very busy doing their jobs fabulously! The rooms were clean. The rooms we had were in good repair. The breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles. We felt safe, warm, and valued as customers! Thank you to all the staff at the Fairfield Inn in Fenton, Michigan. We appreciate you!

We were needing a last minute room for two nights, traveling from out of state for a funeral. Making a reservation directly with the hotel was easy and fast. The staff was extremely kind and compassionate and the hotel was affordable, quiet, clean, and just what we needed to be able to rest comfortably.

This hotel is in a convenient location and looked to have been recently renovated. I don't think it's new because the bathtub had what seemed to be some enamel missing or brown stain of sorts.
This was your average hotel my only complaint was that it took about 5 minutes to get hot water and then I'm not sure if this was because of thin walls or because our room was next to the electrical room but it sounded like someone snoring. It was so loud that we had to turn the TV on to drown it out. In the morning we could still hear it so we weren't sure where or what the annoying noise was.

Very nice visit. Construction was going on but that didn't stop a thing. Breakfast was nice, room was clean, and even got the front desk person to let me use a phone charger. Will definitely come back and visit when in town.

Do not stay here. The hotel rooms are not clean. I found a needle full of heroin ready to go under the bed. The hotel did not seem to think this was a big deal. They didn't want me to call the police to come and get it. If you value your safety, stay elsewhere.
