My fiance and I stayed here for 4 nights on a Chicago getaway. That week would have been our honeymoon absent Covid-19 delays, so the in-room hot tub and shady hammocks at Hop & Vine were a great distraction! Dan & Amber are great hosts and they provide a modernized take on a B&B that we loved, with a traditional hot breakfast. They've lined up great discounts for guests at local restaurants, wineries, and activities, too! The location is perfect if you are looking to take day trips into Saugatuck/Douglas, Holland, or even South Haven. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time during our stay at the Hop & Vine! Dan and Amber (and their adorable boys) were there to greet us personally and show us to our room. There’s plenty to do just hanging around the B&B, with hammocks, sitting areas, a playground, a large dining room, and a living room with games available. Lots of nice little touches, like s’mores kits, a community puzzle, and books to borrow. We spent a lot of time in the heated indoor pool, which is stocked with water wings and toys for kids. The friendly horses across the street were a great bonus! The Boathouse room had plenty of space for our family and we enjoyed the fresh breakfast buffet each morning. The personal, friendly feel and thoughtful details of the Hop & Vine made this the perfect spot for a family vacation! We had a blast in the Saugatuck area and hope to visit again!

We wanted to get away and wanted to stay somewhere with a pool. Hop & Vine was only allowing 1 family in the pool area at a time which appealed to us with the current pandemic. We were able to go swimming pretty much every day with out having to worry about social distancing while we swam, which was nice. We really enjoyed our stay the here. My one complaint is that they use Hulu for all the tv instead of cable. Too many people streaming at the same time, lol (usually bed time for us when we were there).

Hey Rob! Thanks for staying with us! We’re thrilled you enjoyed your family’s visit!😊 We hadn’t heard of the Hulu hold up before, so we’re glad you let us know. Our WiFi is designed to support 40+ streaming TVs (plus loads of smaller devices), and we’re sitting at about half that right now, so we’re going to troubleshoot and see if the actual Smart TV in that unit isn’t playing nicely with Hulu. Just back from a family reunion here and loved it!
We booked the entire inn. Everything was a great. I believe every bedroom had a mini-fridge, noise cancelling machine, extra pillows, and all the rooms I saw were super clean.
We made our own meals in the spacious shared kitchen and really enjoyed spending time chatting in the shared dining areas. There are two large coffee decanters, a few slow cookers, a super fast dishwasher, lots of fridge space, tons of mugs and dishes - really, everything you need to cook. Grills too.
The corn hole and other outdoor games, hammocks, and fire pit were all fun, but the pickleball was the real hit!
A quick text and Amber was there anytime we needed her.

It was the perfect place to gather the family together. We came from New Jersey to California and everywhere in between. There were activities for every age group on site and plenty of great places to visit within a twenty minute drive. The pool was loved by the little ones and the new pickle ball court was a huge hit and always in use. I can’t forget to mention the fire pit, sand volleyball, ping pong table and many other activities! The rooms were very comfortable and the owners thought of many small details to make our stay more pleasant. Amber and Dan were available to answer any questions and very easy to work with. We highly recommend the Hop and Vine Inn and hope to return for our next family reunion in two years.

Our group of 24 senior golfers returned for our third visit to Hop and Vine Inn in Sep 2022. We had a splendid experience on each previous visit, and this time was no exception. Since our last stay in 2019 Dan and Amber have made many significant improvements to the property, including updated and modernized rooms, additional amenities and activities on site, and an overall upgrade of the entire experience. As always, we enjoyed the attentive and professional hospitality that Dan and Amber are known for, including welcome cocktails, a delicious and satisfying breakfast each morning of our stay, and attention to the little details that crop up with large groups that make our visit easy and carefree.
There are very few places in Michigan that can cater to and accommodate large groups like ours and provide the warm and intimate setting that fosters memorable experiences, and the Hop and Vine Inn stands at the top of this list. I recommend it enthusiastically and without reservation.

I wish I could give this place a 10! Dan and Amber have a heart of gold. Their voices are calm & loving. They bring such a positive vibe to your visit. They welcomed my son & I with such kindness. They emailed us prior to our visit with fun things to do in the area. That was so helpful and took away the stress of me planning. The breakfast was out of this world. My son hates blueberries. I had him try one bite of their homemade blueberry waffles- my son goes oh my gosh, those are so good. Also, he goes, How did Amber and Dan know my favorite donut! My son has autism & for him to make these comments- he can tell when he is welcome & loved. They make you feel at home.
They are very Covid aware and the place is spotless. Our room was adorable. They had a sign up sheet for the pool. Every family was able to have the pool to themselves so they weren't sharing the area. There was sanitizer. They served the food so it was safe.
I was extremely impressed by my visit. I will stay here next time. Amber and Dan are doing great! It truly was wonderful to see how much they care for their guest.

Hop & Vine Inn was perfect. Amber & Dan really go all out to show their guests a great time. Amber cooks amazing breakfasts each morning. She really works hard and is awesome with kiddos as she was once a teacher I believe. The rooms were big enough for our party of 5, easily. It has a nice heated pool, a playset for the kids, sand volleyball, and a firepit. We met another couple there and really bonded and plan to hopefully hang out again! I love how close it is to Saugatuck and South Haven. Dune rides close by and it was super fun! Please go there!! The only thing I didn't like really was the stairs if you're on the second floor, but it's not a deal-breaker. If you happen to need to be accommodated for a lower-level room, be sure to ask I'm sure they'll make it happen! Thank you to the hosts for such a great stay! We will be back again!!

The Hop & Vine Inn was a wonderful place to get away and relax. Dan and Amber are very warm and welcoming hosts. The property is very lovely, from the many different spots to just sit and unwind in the shade to the pool and the common areas. Our room with the private hot tub was excellent and very clean. The atmosphere was so relaxed we even spent a couple of evenings playing board games in the common area, something I could never see myself doing in a regular hotel. Plus, it is only a mile or so from the beach. I would definitely recommend a visit with the family or just as a couple.
