We had the best time during our stay at the Hop & Vine! Dan and Amber (and their adorable boys) were there to greet us personally and show us to our room. There’s plenty to do just hanging around the B&B, with hammocks, sitting areas, a playground, a large dining room, and a living room with games available. Lots of nice little touches, like s’mores kits, a community puzzle, and books to borrow. We spent a lot of time in the heated indoor pool, which is stocked with water wings and toys for kids. The friendly horses across the street were a great bonus! The Boathouse room had plenty of space for our family and we enjoyed the fresh breakfast buffet each morning. The personal, friendly feel and thoughtful details of the Hop & Vine made this the perfect spot for a family vacation! We had a blast in the Saugatuck area and hope to visit again!

A traffic accident on 196 had us drive past the Hop and Vine Inn, and we wondered what is that place with the cute sign? The Hop and Vine had literally opened up our dates just that day, it was like the universe was telling us to go. No, this is not a four star hotel. It is a cute, local, low-key, restful, well-thought-out inn cared for by two hard-working and friendly individuals, and there's a reason it is booked solid for the season. Knowing that people actually care about their guests' experience gives you such a sense of reassurance. It was nice to have parking near the room, we loved having an outdoor space for our room amidst the hops, we found the beds really comfortable, and it was fun camping out with our son in the same room, like a slumber party. We stayed in the Dunegrass room with a twin bed, queen bed and sofa bed, and that meant I didn't have to share a queen bed with my tossy turny six foot tall husband (or wake up perpendicular to the bed as I have been known to do). We loved the pool; we were nervous about COVID for our 4 year old since it was indoors, but we had it all to ourselves as everyone else was out sightseeing, it was soooo nice and warm, and we all turned into glorious prunes. We did go into Saugatuck, which is super close, especially the brewery. We also had fun at the fire pit with their smores kits and attempted to play beach volleyball. Dan and Amber are kind and helpful hosts, and we will definitely be back.
