Family owned casual motel in Atwood, Michigan, minutes from Torch Lake and Charlevoix. Clean, comfortable, and affordable rooms in a laid back, nature-inspired environment. Next to Antrim Dells golf course and in the neighborhood of Northern Michigan's famous cherry and apple orchards, farm markets, wineries, beaches, great paddling and boating, and popular wedding venues. Free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, mini fridges & microwaves, along with backyard activities and lots of room to roam, make this a great choice for families and group travelers.
The Atwood Inn is one of my all time favorite places to stay. I've been staying here since 2017 and have never been disappointed! Great and kind owners! Very clean, tidy and well taken care of rooms! Despite my love for this place, I decided not to book any getaway trips to the Atwood Inn so far year. What I loved most about the Atwood Inn was that they typically offered the lowest rates in the area vs other motels and online sites. However, their prices have increased by an average of 50% this year in comparison to when I first started staying here. Normally, I would book the Atwood Inn multiple times throughout the year but I just can't justify with their current rates. However, I'm still holding out hope they may later structure their rates to be higher on the busy summer weeks/weekends and offer lower rates during the non busy days and the off peak seasons. No matter what though, I'll always love the Atwood Inn. It truly is a great place to stay and they deserve 5 stars!

Absolutely the most beautiful road side motel I have seen. The single bedrooms are small but perfect, very clean. Would recommend slippers of some kind as they are putting laminate flooring in all the rooms. Its a great idea to help keep the rooms clean and smell down but sand is tracked easily. The owners are great and are doing an amazing job at remodeling. They were beyond understanding and allowed us to drop our trailer so we didn't have to haul it to dinner the night we stayed. And also allowed us to keep it parked there after we checked out while we went to the beach. We will most definitely be back!

Super place to rest your head and relax!! Very quiet and just out of the noise of town but close enough to enjoy the activities! So glad we stayed here and will totally use again. Thanks Dave & Patty for your hospitality.
It’s kind of a nostalgic trip in time with the atmosphere of each room. You even get a real key!! Just a great little place with loads of charm and personal service.
Would be great for a group of people because the courtyard would be a wonderful gathering place to just sit and visit and catch up with each other .
Cost was better then motels/hotels in Charlevoix or Boyne City… check it out!!!

We made a spontaneous trip to do color tour and decided to check Atwood Inn again… they had a room for us and we were delighted to stay again. Dave and Patty were wonderful Again.Such a peaceful place to stay, so Quiet and comfy. Having coffee sitting outside (yes, it was fall crisp weather but totally worth it) hearing the birds and completely relaxing. I just can’t say enough about this motel…. It’s so comfortable, peaceful and calming.

This older motel is under new ownership, and has been thoroughly renovated. My room was immaculate and quiet -- not even traffic noise. It was also television-free, which suited me fine. If you want luxury, this is not your destination, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay that is comfortable, safe, clean, quiet, and welcoming, make a reservation here. It is next to a golf course that has gorgeous views, and very close to Grand Traverse Bay in an area where breathtakingly beautiful scenery is the norm. I was there during deer season, and a few hunters were staying at the same time. They liked the place too. I will be staying there again.

Was looking for an inexpensive motel room, last minute, during Fourth of July week. We wanted to do a quick road trip near Traverse City. Everything was booked or too expensive. Then I found this place! Very affordable, very clean, nice people. But...no tv? I said oh well and booked it anyway. Glad I did. We enjoyed our evening sitting outside and talking. Didn’t miss that tv at all. It’s not a fancy place but it suited our needs. Would come back and hope we can.

This hotel was literally a god-send to our family. The staff helped us out in so many ways and the rooms were very clean. I appreciated the quiet family atmosphere and the awesome and caring staff. Can’t wait to return! Thank you!

A great place to stay that gets the job done without a lot of frills. Owners are delightful. Served fresh coffee, orange juice, and doughnuts that were still warm in the morning. Great price-point especially for the summer in northern Michigan. This place was clean and comfortable and is managed by a couple who takes pride in their work, care about their guests, and are still in process of restoring an old motel that had been out of commission for 7 years. The perfect place to stay for a simple, clean place to lay your head that won't break the bank.

My wife & I spent over night in this hotel of our 4th of July weekend trip , the place is so nice , our room is well clean , comfortable bed & affordable , a family owned we met the pleasant owner they were so nice , Highly recommended place , we love to stay it again .

The moment I walked into our room I knew I'd like this place. It was fresh and clean, even smelled good. The owner is very likable and the price is reasonable. The outside is a bit rough, but they are making good progress fixing up this older motel. We were very comfortable there.
