We were traveling with friends who have gluten free and other dietary restrictions and ask a lot of menu questions. The wait staff simply could not have been more accommodating. They were outstanding. Everyone found something delicious. The Lake Superior white fish was spectacular. Very fresh. Good bar selection. Super friendly staff. Very pleasant atmosphere. Not a large restaurant. Very cozy. Not expensive. Very good
This is a good location if you're going to drive to different areas on the peninsula and see things. The place is nice, food was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's quiet, even when the restaurant is busy, and they have a Biergarten to sit in. A 10 minute drive will take you to the Great Sandy Beach (there's no sand there to speak of), an excellent place to relax or walk your 4 legged friends. There's no place to get breakfast or supplies here, the closest is a 30 minute drive. That's no problem, just plan for it
We have a few more days to eat in copper harbor but it’s a pretty safe bet we’ve found the best restaurant so far. We ate at slims in Mohawk. Not so good Fitzgerald’s in eagle river. So so. Keweenaw country club. Not good this time at all If we find something better in the next 2-3 days. I’ll write about it but for now. Eagle harbor inn. Has our vote all the way. The full rack of ribs was excellent. Wife and granddaughter loved there pizza. And my grand son gave his thumbs up on the chicken strips out for now from Kalamazoo mich
Everything you need for a great stay---coffee, refrigerator, comfy beds and pillows, plush towels and nice amenities. There's an on site sauna for guests use. And the wonderful Eagle Harbor Inn restaurant is right there for lunch and dinner. We didn't stay in the one bedroom full apartment, but did take a peak at the wonderful space---all updated with tasteful furnishings. It's available by the week or month, I think. The location is a short walk to the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse and the viewing deck for the famous Lake Superior sunsets. White sand beach is just over a few streets.
Pleasant surprise. Went to see the Eagle Harbor lighthouse and was hungry for lunch. Didn't know where to go...saw Eagle Harbor Inn and decided to pull in. What a great meal. We had a grilled trout sandwich and potato skins...don't order the fries, etc. Get the trout, potato skins and split it with your other half. You won't be sorry...considering you're in the middle of nowhere.
