I could not believe when I open the door to the room it looked just like the pictures on the internet how often does that happen what a great room. The room was clean nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable the mattress is great. The one thing I found that I was not happy with was it said... More

I was thrilled to stumble on the Pines - I checked in at the Groovy gift shop and the 2 gentlemen there were so warm and friendly.....I wanted a quiet place that didn't feel like a hotel. It was wonderful rustic and cozy on the outside with lots of attention to comfort in the room. I wanted to sit outside... More

All the good reviews that you have read about the Pines Motor Lodge are 100 percent true. Definitely make your reservations here! We were lucky to get in - for a two day stay last week. Steve, owner and manager, could not have been nicer or more helpful. And he was on point with every recommendation that he made. It... More

We've stayed at The Pine just one night with my husband and two kids. My reservation experience was easy. Steve answered very quick to my emails and was very detailed. The Lodge located in the nice quite area, within a few minutes from Douglas beach which we liked, Oval beach and town of Saugatuck with its art galleries and nice... More

Me and the Mrs. lodged her for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It's a great central location to get to all the area attractions. The rooms were clean and we had no problems at all. Steve was quite helpful with dining and area attractions. Would definitely return again.

Nicely designed & cleverly decorated faux mid-century motel. Staff helpful and friendly. Outdoor area with free grill and "Michirondack" chairs well-shaded. Douglas main drag an easy walk as are local grocery store, ice cream, and package store. Saugatuck's attraction and Lake MI Oval Beach a few minutes drive.

This is our third time to stay at this resort. Very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable beds. The owner was very helpful. Giving us many options for food choices and places to visit. Loved eating at Wild Dog in Douglas and Respite coffe house in Douglas. Shopping and dinning Saugatuck never disappoints. We will be back again!

This charming boutique hotel was a great find at $130 a night. The room had a king size bed which was Pinelog and there was retro style furnishings including the refrigerator and microwave which were no but look retro. The owner Steve met us at chech in referred us to a great restaurant and called to see if out food... More

We stayed at The Pines for three nights the week before Memorial Weekend with my husband and 5 year old and really enjoyed ourselves. We felt the room and location were a good value, and the room itself was cleaner than clean. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of Douglas and Saugatuck, and we enjoyed all of their restaurant... More

The room was perfect for our trip! It was very clean, beds very comfortable with lots of pillows, and nice blankets that kept us warm. The heat worked well, as did the refrigerator and microwave. The décor of the room and establishment was quaint and suited our tastes quite well. The size of the room was great - much larger... More
