Nice and clean nice friendly staff my first time coming there the food was delicious especially those cookies man o man you talking about delicious I feel in love with those cookies also brought the Ten Pack for the kids
The service at this property is superb. As a frequent traveler, it stands out. I was only booked for 3 nights originally but ended up extending for another 3 over the long holiday weekend and bringing my family because they're so great here. In particular, the Director of Operations Maynk Toprani (My-Unk) is so warm and friendly. He's compassionate, humble and above-all hospitable. It sets the tone for the entire team. Our favorite things about the hotel: it's the closest corporate-class hotel to both Ford and AAA Headquarters. Family-friendly with an nice indoor pool. Gated parking, plenty of space. Large property, so no overcrowding. RELIABLE airport shuttle. Very quiet. Starbucks onsite. Restaurant onsite. Early check-in, when available, and 12-noon check out. The rooms are spacious and have a larger-size mini-fridge and small freezer. I believe you can request a microwave as well -- but we just used the one located by the ice machine. The beds are comfortable. WiFi is fast and free ... suitable for remote working. Overall, we felt very at home here and had a great stay. We ordered carryout at their restaurant, Grille 29, one night. The chicken tenders and grilled chicken caesar salad were good. The lobby is nice and big as well, so when it is busy it doesn't feel crowded. I can't emphasize enough how much of a help Maynk was during our stay! If we needed anything, he made it happen. He worked with us to check-in early, due to extenuating circumstances, and connected me directly with his Director of Sales to discuss future event space rental. We felt like VIPs here. Thank you to the entire staff for an unexpectedly pleasant stay.…
Hotel is nice, the staff welcoming, BUT DO NOT DEPEND ON THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Driver left the hotel at 5 am for what should have been a 15 min ride to the airport. Ended up taking us 1 hour and 15 mins to get to the airport!! Driver kept a turning around and going the wrong way. He got us within 6 mins of the airport, then turned around again taking us back into Detroit, 25 mins away. He would not listen to us at all as we were trying to give him directions. He had a phone but never pulled up a map once. We drove past that same uniroyal tire landmark on 94 THREE TIMES. Finally got to the airport and he refused to drop us off at arrivals, so I just ran for the last 15 mins to get to my gate just in the nick of time. If I didn’t have TSA precheck I would have absolutely missed my flight due to this guy not listening at all. I AM FURIOUS.…
The Doubletree provided a great experience for our group of senior adult travelers from Texas. The lobby is welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, and we enjoyed great service from every employee we encountered. The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful and the convenience of Grill 39 for our evening meals was a nice option. And we love those yummy cookies! We will definitely book here again next time we return to this area.
As a Diamond member who frequents Hilton-brand hotels, I had two rooms reserved for 5 nights, for convenience. The only reason I rated this 2 out of 5 was because the staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is desperate need of updating. Rooms are disgusting. Others in our group had to change rooms 2 or 3 times due to non-functional bathrooms or, ..., termites in the room. If it weren't for the convenience of the location, I would have left after the first night. This property is disgusting and an embarrassment to the Hilton brand.
Our family booked a total of 4 rooms. Everyone of our rooms had to be changed due to rooms not being clean, even with the toilets secure seal. One of the tubs was full of w ater, ours had seemingly pubic hair on the toilet seat, carpet was visually dirty, nightstand and furniture was very dusty, and dirty towels still under sink. The room we were changed to was a little more clean than the first. However, my child used the bathroom in the bed overnight and we asked for a bedding change and room cleaning service. We were ensured that it would be done. We get back at 10pm and no one cleaned the room. We called the front desk and told him the issue and his response was that room service was gone for the day. I told him I understand but out bed has utin on the sheets and we were told that we would get a bedding change. We had to go down to the front desk still. While we were downstairs, others were in line to complain. One of our family rooms had to go down because she had blood stains in their sheets, after the room change! After we went down to complain, He finally sent someone with a sheet and a blanket.... We agreed to never again stay at this hotel. Let me add, two rooms smelled like mold, and the bathroom ceiling had large yellow water drops all over the ceiling that were falling down.…
A nice place to stay in the city. Most of the issues I had with this location were being addressed as I watched. I felt that management was being proactive My first check in attempt was a failure. Even though I’m a frequent visitor to this hotel with a diamond status, my guest was not allowed to check in even though they were on the reservation. I suggested ways to verify my credentials and identify but they were rejected while citing the potential for fraud. My guest had to wait for an additional 2+ hours until another representative checked them in without issue. I did not feel that reasonable accommodations were made
The Hotel advertisement is more inviting that the actual facility, while the beds are very comfortable, their housekeeping service leaves a lot to be desired and is beyond sub-par. I would not stay at that facility in the future.
Were were there for 4 days for a convention, the rooms were terrible, yellow stains on the mattress, did not clean the rooms the whole 4 days and kept calling to ask for towels. Do not stay there. Its discussing
Very nice hotel with everything you need for a short stay ! The front desk was very helpful and friendly . We definitely would stay here again . The biggest plus is that it’s close to a major freeway , restaurants and the mall . If you’re looking for a quiet stay in Metro Detroit look no further .
