Hotel has easy access and parking, Welcomming capacious lobby with amazing courtsey from front desk , Aubrey helped us sort out the reservation that was messed up by expedia in a timely manner. Pool looks nice but we didnt use. Rooms are clean and updated. Everything we expected and more from our stay- very pleased and definetly recommend for families and business.
The service at this property is superb. As a frequent traveler, it stands out. I was only booked for 3 nights originally but ended up extending for another 3 over the long holiday weekend and bringing my family because they're so great here. In particular, the Director of Operations Maynk Toprani (My-Unk) is so warm and friendly. He's compassionate, humble and above-all hospitable. It sets the tone for the entire team. Our favorite things about the hotel: it's the closest corporate-class hotel to both Ford and AAA Headquarters. Family-friendly with an nice indoor pool. Gated parking, plenty of space. Large property, so no overcrowding. RELIABLE airport shuttle. Very quiet. Starbucks onsite. Restaurant onsite. Early check-in, when available, and 12-noon check out. The rooms are spacious and have a larger-size mini-fridge and small freezer. I believe you can request a microwave as well -- but we just used the one located by the ice machine. The beds are comfortable. WiFi is fast and free ... suitable for remote working. Overall, we felt very at home here and had a great stay. We ordered carryout at their restaurant, Grille 29, one night. The chicken tenders and grilled chicken caesar salad were good. The lobby is nice and big as well, so when it is busy it doesn't feel crowded. I can't emphasize enough how much of a help Maynk was during our stay! If we needed anything, he made it happen. He worked with us to check-in early, due to extenuating circumstances, and connected me directly with his Director of Sales to discuss future event space rental. We felt like VIPs here. Thank you to the entire staff for an unexpectedly pleasant stay.…
The staff were all polite and responsive. The accommodations were impeccably clean. The ambiance in the main lobby was nice. The hotel is located within short driving distance to several nice places to eat, and a mall. I would rate my stay a 9/10. Great job!
At the end of January I was on my way to Indianapolis for a work conference. I had a layover in Detroit. It was snowing very heavily all day so unfortunately most flights got canceled and I was stuck. My luggage had already been forwarded to Indy. Hotels in the area were full due to the massive amount of canceled flights. I found that Doubletree had room. I was so happy because it had been a very long, tiresome day. I did some homework then went to sleep. The next morning I woke up early and took the shuttle to the airport. The experience was a good one until I received an email from the hotel claiming that I had smashed the television. I was shocked because when I left the room it was in perfect condition. I called the hotel and the person I talked to stated that the email was probably a phishing scam and to avoid clicking on any links. I told him that there was just a jpeg of a random broken tv. He told me to contact my credit card company which I did. The charge was taken off until a few weeks later when it was reapplied because Hilton claimed that the damage was legit. When I called customer service for Hilton they told me that not only did the report say I had broken the tv, but it stated that I had lit the bed on fire. I called the hotel. I explained that I did not damage their room. They emailed me back claiming that I had never talked to them about the email showing damage even though I told them that I have that call on my phone records. They would not remove the charge. I asked if they had proof that there was no other person who entered my room between the time I left and when they emailed me about the damage. The manager stated, " I will not discuss that with you." I filed a complaint with the BBB. Hilton's response now claims that I smashed a television, broke the bed, and lite the comforter on fire with candles. I did not have candles. I didn't even have a case for my contact lenses because again, my luggage was in Indy. They are also reporting that I spoke openly with the manager about the damage. Which isn't true because I didn't cause any damage in the room. I am a mother of 3 in my 30s, graduate student, and a Physical Therapist Assistant / Parkinson's Disease specialist. I got snowed in on my way to a work training and spent the night all by myself. The hotel refuses to show me proof of the damage they are claiming but have charged my credit card $1000 for room damages. I am afraid that they targeted me for a scam because I was traveling alone from out of state.…
I can’t thank the Doubletree staff (Timothy, Aubrey, Diego, Karen) enough for making my short stay here perfect. I have never been to a hotel with the level of customer service this staff presented. The entire team truly goes the extra mile to make sure you’re welcomed, comfortable, and that all your needs are met. The shuttle service is a bonus and a lifesaver! Big thank you to Diego for looking out for me and ensuring I got to the airport safely following a huge snow storm. And thank you, Karen for your kindness and hospitality! If you want a place to stay where you’re more than just a number… this place is it!
We had reservations since Nov. to attend a convention. We arrived at 4:30 pm on Feb 23 and waited for over 12 hours to get a room. Management kept stringing us along saying it would be just 2 more hours until our room was clean and ready. After a fire alarm, which took over an hour, standing outside in the cold, half of the staff disappeared! After waiting for 6 hours, we asked to make our own beds in empty rooms ourselves rather than wait any longer, but this was refused. We were told by the front desk clerk this situation was because of an ice storm and people had stayed over and refused to leave. Finally at 2 AM the convention security head begged hotel management for pillows and blankets so we could bunk down on the floor in the lobby and meeting rooms. My husband and I are disabled so this was very uncomfortable. He needs a ventilator / C-PaP so fortunately he had access to electricity. There were over 30 people waiting all night for their rooms. Some were elderly, handicapped, or families with small children. We were given $15 off drinks in the lounge but offered no other compensation. We finally got our room at 4:30 AM. This was bad for me because I had to give a presentation for the convention early that morning. We found then that the fifth floor was mostly empty. Cleaners said they had just come to work on the day shift. It turns out there were rooms available but not enough staff to clean and prepare them. The hotel was severely understaffed for most of the weekend. Bartender Mr. Tyrone went above and beyond to serve people long after his shift was over. The hotel staff that were there worked hard and did a great job. This was really bad planning when the hotel managers knew they had a convention of 500- 600 people for the weekend.…
I was there for a convention. booked the shuttle from the hotel. Shuttle driver says no one told him. It was off so I’m in a freezing vehicle and then he got a bing for low gas. We’re chilling (literally) at the gas station. So to add to the saga he didn’t help me in with my bags which is fine I can do my own. At one point we’re driving 70 miles an hour half a car length away from somebody. Then he almost took the wrong exit and swerved so much I was concerned. this last part was the worst with my last bag he takes it down when I try and take it from him he pulls it back from me. "What no tip?" he asks. It was very bullying and threatening. I was expecting it though, so I handled it just fine however, it shouldn't have to be handled. I was on the shuttle alone with him. I went for the supper buffet at 7:30pm. Nothing posted it was ending at 8pm (sign was down). Many items gone: desert, chicken, beans. I get a round, thinking more will come. It doesn't. I ask, they say it's done. I go to the front desk they chastchize me that I am complaining and it's 7:55pm (Because I waited). They offer to give me 20% off my bill and that someone will come take my order from the dinner menu. 32 minutes later no one came. It took my friend 13 minutes to get mayonaisse for her burger. People who booked rooms months in advance for this convention didn't get rooms until 1am-3am do to 'issues'. Do not recommend.…
Will never stay here again was giving two different prices and never gave my deposit back! Called in and man at desk was very rude and impolite told me that the person that booked my room was new and didn’t give the rite information
This place is disgusting. Filthy and dishonest, the dust in our room was unbelievable, about a centimeter out from the wall. Dust bunnies. Mold and dust made my eyes and lungs burn and caused an attack. There is mold in the HVAC vents, conference rooms, there is wet carpeting, shower fan didnt work in our room, visible mold in the shower vent of a friend's room. They try to cover up the mold smell with heavy scent sprayers near the elevators. Sofa bed was disgusting and unsleepable. No sheets. This place is a biohazard. There was an electrical fire in the main building and there was no alarm warning in the guest rooms. Our "alarm" was staff shouting and knocking once on the door. We barely heard it. Oh and friends of ours had their catalytic converter off the CAR STOLEN. Security is useless. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Management- don't bother me with a "Dear Guest" reply. Do us both a favor, save your breath and GFY instead.…
Juliana from Grill 39 in the hotel went above and beyond for my 3yo today! She overheard her becoming upset due to them not having the waffle maker out. She made my baby 3 pancakes in the back! Love her! Such a great person!
