After a very challenging travel day, I picked the Westin DTW for its convenience to the McNamara terminal as I imagine most of its guests do... Breakfast at Reflections Restaurant was very tasty and service was excellent... It was neat clearing TSA in the lobby after check-out... All in all, if you need a comfy, quiet place to rest ASAP at the DTW airport, this is the hotel for you...

Also, the signage is awful- front desk clerk had to show me how to get out to the valet to wait for the shuttle to the other terminal, and the shuttle was not labeled (labeled as parking shuttle and not as shuttle to other terminal), you had to wait outside in the freezing cold for the shuttle, and it is slow/too long between trips...

Booked over the phone using one of our free nights. Agent was very friendly, I booked the entire park sleep and fly... Upon calling them they now say they can't credit my free night for the park sleep and fly even tho their agent repeatedly said I could...

The hotel could not be more convenient if you are flying in or out of the airport (and especially if flying on Delta, Aeromexico, and Air France) and is located directly inside the McNamara Terminal... It is accessible with terminal entrances both before and after security... The traditional king room we stayed in was perfect!... The next morning, we exited the hotel before security because we had luggage to check... We stepped out directly next the Delta check-in area... If you don't need to check luggage, you can exit through the hotel's own TSA checkpoint directly airside during certain hours...

The mobile key finally started working, so I got out of line (it didn't move in the five minutes that I stood there), and tried the elevator again - this time it worked... This was the perfect base camp for our trip, which included a family rendezvous in Saline for a memorial. We had flown on Delta, which is close by the hotel... It would be ideal if hotel and TSA could work together on reviving a pass system so hotel guests could access the airport’s array of restaurants during their stay...
