Just stayed at Trumbull and Porter over the weekend when I went to see a Tigers game and the sites of the fine city of Detroit. I was blown away but the service, style and overall feel for this hotel. It was awesome. From the minute you walk in its great design everywhere, its efficient, organized and very, very clean.... This is close enough to the things we were there to do. The room was clean and fairly reasonably priced. The front desk staff was kind of lacking. Sometimes they were nowhere to be found and they didn't go out of their way to offer recommendations or help. Still, the room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The decor... More

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed on our 2 week road trip around Lake Erie. It was in a great location just on the edge of the city, with easy access to everything. There's a hand-crafted approach to everything -- from the lobby furnishings to the room layout and furnishings to the cool edge-less shower. We... More

There we shards of glass and small, nearly invisible slivers of glass all over the hotel room floor that night. These pieces were found a few hours into my stay by myself and my friends who were staying there as we stepped on them. My boyfriend stepped on two pieces and one pricked his leg because it was in the... More

The location is great, the staff were friendly, the rooms recently updated and nice and for the price we got our money's worth! Located in the area of Corktown this hotel was extremely convenient for a Tigers game, only 2mi away! You can walk up the street (about a half mile) to a couple bars - I recommend McShane's -... What an amazing little gem! TheTrumbull and Porter (newly renovated hotel at the corner of Trumbull and Porter Streets) is in an awesome location that is walking distance to everything from RenCen, to casinos, and to of course Corktown! The entire area has so many new restaurants, it makes this hotel an even greater find. The hotel is an eclectic... More

This hotel opened in May 2016, after a reported $9 million renovation and transformation into Detroit's first "boutique" hotel. To be honest, we booked here because it was cheap and looked nice. We weren't disappointed. The hotel itself is new, modern and cozy. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy, with nice furnishings and... More

Front desk is friendly and helpful, rooms are quaint and distinct. However, the hotel is not completed. The hallways were somewhat humid during my stay. My main concern is security. The front gate adjacent to the exit side of the parking lot was jammed. I tried to close it and it would not move. I alerted the front desk staff... More

I received a work call for early morning close to downtown in Detroit & didn't want to have to get up at 5am to commute in. I noticed this listing on TripAdvisor so I decided to give it a shot. They've done a great job of rehabbing this facility. My cozy queen bed room was perfect for my needs, attractively... More

I was in town for one night on business, and wanted to stay close to downtown, since I had a ticket for the Tigers game. The hotel sits right on the edge of downtown. I drove several blocks and parked close to the stadium for $10. If I had walked, it would have only been a 30 minute walk, but... More
