We (my actors and I) came to perform for a client in the Corktown (?) room this past Wednesday. I am so impressed with the staff. Everyone was happy, and professional. Any requests were handled right away with a smile. We are grateful for the extra hospitality extended to us by the staff while we were packing up after the show. Justin, Jayne, and Abby were wonderful! If you're in the area you must try the beet salad. It could possibly change your life! ;-) Looking forward to my next visit when I'm not working, so I can sit back and enjoy!

Stayed here with a friend for a quick girls' weekend to Detroit. This hotel was everything! Super new, stylishly decorated (I recently redecorated my house, so I noticed a lot of special touches!) The coolest chairs, rugs, pillows, plants, etc. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Plus, everyone working here was just the nicest. Great food at the hotel, too. Walking distance to cool bars and restaurants on Michigan and a quick Uber or drive to more centrally located attractions. We were joking that every Uber was $8 or less, which - coming from New York City - was a dream. Another nice thing is that the front desk allowed us to tip housekeeping on the bill, which is EXTREMELY helpful these days when I hardly ever travel with cash, but didn't want to stiff the housekeeper. Would 100% stay here if I visited Detroit again and have already recommended to several friends.

Trumbull & Porter has become a destination for us. It is beautiful, comfortable, service is great, and in an excellent location. We always enjoy stopping at Red Dunn Kitchen for a cocktail when we have a plan to enjoy surrounding attractions. We will return again soon to have more fun in and around Corktown.

We loved that the Porter and Trumbull was a revitalized hotel. Unfortunately, the remodeling left the rooms feeling unfinished and a bit spartan and small. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom toiletries excellent, the outdoor seating/dining/entertainment space was fun, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Soundproofing would definitely improve the experience as we could clearly hear the guests talking in the rooms near us and in the hallways. Neighborhood felt safe. Easy access to Uber.

Clean hotel. Big new room, big double beds, cool arts and decorations in room. Comfortable and good location. Close to downtown with two breweries within walking distance. In a more 'industrial' area of downtown which is quiet and a bit more roomy than downtown. Cool outdoor restaurant and picnic space. They were showing outdoor movie on Saturday night with outdoor fire and food served. Pretty cool hangout spot and the bar looks cool too. Parking is $10/night in gated area.
