Great hotel if want poor breakfast, warm room and car broken into. Find another option if don’t want those things… it’s always a positive when front desk has tape and trash bags to try to patch the windows. Also after the fact was lied to on multiple occasions. Sad business practices.
Highly recommend the double queen corner suite. It has double living room and triple bedroom windows— very bright. Hotel in/out 24 hour parking across the street and walking distance to many downtown attractions. Staff are very nice.
They apparently have stopped breakfast service in the hotel restaurant. Be prepared to go elsewhere if you want breakfast. No idea about lunch, I wasn't there at that time during my stay. Supper? Only in the bar! Check in? How about a three hour wait. (4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, reservations made 3 months in advance.) Do yourself a favor - stay somewhere else!
I came for a conference in April and stayed here for 3 days and had a very pleasant stay. Check in was super pleasant and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I was early for check in but wanted to check in prior to getting started at the conference and they were able to check me in early which was lovely. My room was very large with a living room suite which was great to hang out in separate from the sleeping quarters. The hotel was clean, quiet and a perfect stay for the conference. If I head back to Detroit, I will certainly stay here again.
The hotel is a food desert for out of town guests who do not know the area. Limited restaurant availability and restaurant staff not accommodating. Location not in walking distance to restaurants or other food service.
Great weekend getaway! Morgan and Jon made our trip! Location was perfect, 5min walk downtown, hotel was huge, private living room from the bedroom was nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful! Morgan and Jon made our trip awesome.
Charmaine Front Desk, Bobby Security, David Valet, Amy and Blair at the bar all made me feel great that I stayed there. My overall stay was great. I like the digital key feature that this location has.
The service here is beyond terrible. I can't tell if the staff is just not trained, or people are just rude. Asking for help will get you no were. Asking for snacks that they are suppose to sell will get you a no or we don't have anything. And worse of all they have a smoking issue within the hotel even though its a non smoking property. Marijuana smoke from another guest in another room filtered though my bathroom. Cig smoke did the same, going through the walls and air vents. Nothing was done, I had to live with this hell for 5 days. Asking for something fixed in the room was completely disregarded by the front desk staff. It not for me finding the housekeeping manager I would never have gotten a resolve. Any place is better than here when it comes to staffing. I'm a life time Diamond member which means I've spent half my life living in just Hilton properties and they treat me like crap. Can't even imagine how bad they'll treat you. Parking is not on site. It is VERY EXPENSIVE and across the street and down the block. The gym is small with old equipment. The hotel is a HUGE party hotel on the weekends.…
Favorite Hilton stay ever. Can’t say enough good about our weekend here. My son and I came up from NC to see a Pistons game for spring break. We loved the property. Beautiful building. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk to LCA. Large and quiet room. Can’t wait to come back in the fall for a Lions game.
this hotel has terrible customer service and ruined my trip. i travel regularly for work and have never experienced such terrible customer service. i do not recommend, and i will not be staying there in the future.
