We hosted a intimate wedding here. Invited my family from Chicago. They will be talking about this hotel for days! My brother and his wife took advantage of their exciting accomidations like transportation to explore the city. This is hotel is full of suprises waiting to be discovered. The fact it used to be a fire house converted to a hotel tells its own story. I wish there is an area that talks about more of its history, pictures of the the transformation, and more artifacts to display found in the building.

Hotel's Favorite
This was a remarkable weekend stay in Downtown Detroit. We were there on a special date night and really enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful and super comfortable, the staff is really attentive and everyone takes care of you. We loved the house car service as well as our dinner at the Apparatus Room. Top-notch dining and service. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful overnight at the Detroit Foundation Hotel. The bed, linens, and pillows were perfect. Towels smelled great; very clean room. Very quiet. The only meal we had at the hotel was breakfast - very fresh and tasty, with delicious salads on the side. Perfect way to start the day. It was a wonderful way to experience Detroit.

The hotel rooms are of average quality. Price is quite high based on the age and quality of hotel rooms. The meeting room is close enough to the dining area and you can hear the music and noise during your meetings that is annoying for professional gatherings.

Stay was great, rooms awesome! (restaurant/room service closed earlier than anticipated Sundays — watch out for that bit) Overall recommended & would stay again if visiting Detroit. Also semi near airport.

This is a former fire station which has been converted into a beautiful and luxurious hotel. My room was large, clean and comfortable, with a strong wifi signal and many outlets. The restaurant is excellent too. The location is quite good, with many restaurants, bars and the stadiums all within easy walking distance. Service was friendly and very good.

One of the coolest places to stay in downtown Detroit. Hotel is very walkable to many attractions. I love how the history of the property was preserved. Also liked such touches as bee hives on roof to harvest honey for the restaurant, and the recording studio that was free to use in the front. Rooms are huge but feel welcome. The lobby has a bunch of comfortable seating and is a great area to work. Plenty of space. Staff was super friendly and the food at the restaurant tasted amazing. Will definitely stay here again!
