Courtyard is my downtown hotel of choice. We have been using this location for years and I have never been disappointed. I have stayed at nearly every downtown location, and find this one to be cleaner, friendlier and more comfortable than the rest. Great location. Only problem is that on event nights, it fills up early so book well in...

Thank you for critiquing “another great stay” Janet. We have had many sell-out events this year and your advice to book early is a good suggestion. We have a great group of proud Courtyard associates that will appreciate hearing your “cleaner and friendlier” comments. Let me know if you ever have a problem reserving a room at our hotel. We booked the Grand Slam Baseball package. We were in town for 2 nights for a couple Detroit Tigers games. So worth the additional $20/night. You get valet parking, breakfast, beer, pop, chips, people mover tokens & $20/night fun money to use at Comerica. These items in itself are WELL worth over the $20 extra dollars a night. Valet itself...

Dear Greg and Amy, Sounds like you enjoyed our Grand Slam package and found a lot of value. Based on our close proximity to Comerica Park and Ford Field, we often promote value-added packages to attract Detroit and visiting sports fans. As you’re quick calculations show, in some situations you’re saving money as soon as you park the car! We...

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend for the One Direction concert in August 2014. We were concerned staying downtown as people warned us that downtown Detroit was not safe. We never had even a moment when we felt unsafe. The valet noticed I had left my cell phone in the car. He saw us in...

Dear Kmal, Thank you for sharing your great downtown Detroit experience. Our hotel was filled with One Direction fans that weekend and it was fun to be a part of the excitement. Our dedicated and hard-working valet team appreciates your compliment, and we look forward to your return next summer. Sincerely, Jon C. – General Manager

Stayed one night to see a Tigers game. Easy access around downtown with the people mover station in the building. Clean rooms with nice view of the river. Very friendly staff. We didn't get an opportunity to try out the restaurant for the breakfast buffet. I'll plan on staying there again when we're in town.

Thanks for your review Bill. The Tigers had a great season, and many of our guests would take the short walk to Comerica Park to catch a game. The next time you’re in town, ask about one of our overnight packages that includes breakfast – can't beat our made to order omelets! Regards, Jon C. – General Manager

This hotel was basic and clean. Friendly staff. Not too knowledgeable on directions and tourist destinations. Good location. Walking distance to downtown and midtown fun. Was in town for Eminem concert. Security was efficient and pleasant. No late fast food in area.

Nice to hear you had a pleasant stay. It’s a great time when Eminem performs downtown. Although our location offers various restaurants within walking distance in every direction, the fast food options are limited after midnight. Hopefully you found something to satisfy your late night craving in our 24-hour market off the lobby. Regards, Jon C – General Manager

My family of 5 stayed here for one night on August 10, 2014 and were treated with warmth and kindness by every staff member. We had planned to stay in a different Marriott hotel, but switched at the last minute once we realized our original choice lacked a swimming pool. The Courtyard Downtown has a lovely indoor pool upstairs (and...

Visited DTW for the weekend and decided to stay downtown to be close to Ford Field. Joined my wife and daughter for their girls trip for 1D concert. Service was good despite the fact the hotel was...

In for a concert at Ford Field with 2 teenagers. Very convenient to get to, just up Brush Street. Front desk person, Tamara, was able to upgrade us (Marriott Rewards) to a much nicer room with beautiful view of the Detroit River and The RemCen. Everything was spotless.

We are very fortunate to have some great entertainers perform in Detroit this summer.
